事实上孩子们的学习确实离不开广大家长的支持。
相信各位家长对我并不陌生,我也是见证了这班孩子的成长过程.我相信我和这个班的孩子是有缘分,有默契的.首先做一下自我介绍：我是咱们五年级孩子的英语老师，我姓李。
首先介绍一下教材，我们五年级英语是跟三、四年级英语教材相衔接的，也是和我们的初中英语相配套的。
按照《英语新课程》标准，五年级英语是国家二级的起始阶段，也是英语学习的重要阶段。
如果我们有心的家长仔细看的话，会发现我们英语书的词汇量与语法都较四年级有很大的提高，而且还出现了语篇教学，这也对我们五年级学生提出了更高的要求。
如果你以前的英语没有学好，那相对来说，你现在学得比较累；同样地，如果你现在不学好英语，那将来的英语学习也是不难想象的。
其次我想讲一下班级学习情况。
其实在座的家长对自己子女的情况比我更加清楚。
他们都是在同一起跑线上起跑的，但经过几年来的学习，学生与学生之间已经拉开了差距。
一些好的学生学习兴趣浓，学习劲头足，课堂上积极思维，踊跃发言，课后及时巩固，形成了良性循环的好势头。
他们的学习习惯好，在听、说、读、写方面都能齐头并进，我为他们感到欣慰。
可也有一些学生，平时学习马虎，基础不扎实，导致他们现在课上听讲出现困难，关键还不努力，书面作业拖拉不交，口头作业根本不完成，如此一来，学习自然成了件头痛事。
其实，我们班大部分的学生还是处于中上等层次，尽管他们平时不需要老师操太多的心，费太大的力，但是说起各方面的表现，又总有一丝遗憾，因为我们总希望他们能够再上一个台阶。
再次我想讲一下这次的期中考试的情况。
五年级三个班的情况都差不多。
我们学生主要的失分在两个方面，一是听力部分，这是需要我们今后多做多练的，另外一个方面是阅读理解，学生做得也不好，因为有些题目不是可以直接从文中找出的，需要他们去分析理解，他们这一方面的能力还有待加强，他们的基础知识在此次练习中表现尚可。
