What Is Decision?

1. 决策者应该能够对将来做出最好的推测

A decision maker should get a good guess at the future.

(OR: Decision makers should be able to make the best guess at the gesture)

Some people assume that all managers do involves decision making.

(OR: Some people think that everything managers do has something to do with decision making)

3. 没有正确的选择就没有正确的决定

If there is no right choice, there is no correct decision.

Solutions vary because different people hold different ideas about the same problem.

(OR: Since different people have different ideas about the same problem, so the approaches to it vary from person to person)

A decision maker usually is the key to the business development of a company.

His friend accompanied him to the concert.

7. 他己说服她改变决定

He has argued her out of her decision

In accordance with his proposal, the procedure has been remarkable simplified.

The broadcasting station has predicted it would be colder tomorrow.

Motion is defined as a change in position or place.

Unit 2

Black Holes

12. 黑洞是什么，天文学家还没有完全解决这个问题

Astronomers have not yet fully answered the question of what a black hole is.

It is assumed that a black hole can swallow all the things like stars near it.

(OR: He was swallowed up in darkness=Darkness swallowed him up)

Euthanasia: For and Against

22. 安乐死的确能消除临终病人的痛苦

Euthanasia can actually relieve dying patients from their suffering.

23. 你知不知道荷兰是欧洲唯一施行安乐死的国家

Do you know that the Netherlands is the only country in Europe, which permits the practice of euthanasia?

24. 支持这一观点的医生并不意味着不关心病人

Doctors who argue for this point don’t mean that they don’t care for the patient.

(OR: It does not mean that doctors who are for this idea don't care for their patients)

The polluted water makes the residents vulnerable to diseases.

(OR: The contamination of water makes the residents vulnerable to diseases)
