东西方教育的差异对比(英汉双语)
东西方教育差异对比(英汉双语对照)Western developed countries, comparison humanity, and is taught by a man, full implementation of a quality education, even a loose type of education, or even larger than humanity. Especially children, before the sixth grade, the basic is the loose type of education, teachers and parents do not insist their children. Mainly in the sports and playful learning and increased knowledge. In the 6-12 grades this stage, the child's primary learning objective is to develop reading, comprehension and writing skills, is very easy, the child will not feel pressure because of homework. Their logical thinking ability is nurtured during this time. When they enter college, Barbara's hard phase began as the University of the West is admitted to the easy, hard to graduate. University of the West is oversupply. So, when the child entered college, to work, many students want to start up the curriculum, and begin to learn to face the University of strength and challenges. At this point, their body and brain has fully developed, especially in spiritual and emotional world is forming, and self-control, self-restraint, self-control ability, very mature. This is a child of any strength that can withstand the pressure, will not learn too much intensity of physical and mental harm suffered, resulting in the situation of weariness. They need is a hard, hard, hard, very good to complete their studies. University graduates to become a genuine talent. We used to be China or type of education, mainly by teachers educate, and parental supervision, and let the children learn as much as possible and to accept new knowledge, at the same time, to do exercises to be massive, a lot of memorizing a lot of learning or memory contents. Every child from an early age began to face the pressure and confusion. Our children, in elementary school six years, began non-stop learning, doing homework, recite famous famous. Children lost innocence and play opportunities. In particular, to the beginning of high school, more academic work, knowledge, capacity, homework is more pressure in children breathe air, but to. 70% to 80% of high school students are put on the glasses. However, once admitted to the university, they relieved, but also from the parents, management, and began to feel relieved, not like the high school by teachers and parents as monitoring and supervision. Most students still continue to learn. A considerable number of students began to laissez-faire itself, abandoned their studies, dance love, and so should not have happened at school things have happened. Because they have too much pressure on teenagers, so, the university began to release its own resistance. These children are vulnerable to the other extreme. The results of two teaching methods are totally different. Western's graduates after entering the community will quickly adapt to social, Hen easier to face the challenges, compared to, the adaptation capability; and our Chinese university graduates, after entering the community, a Shi Jian Xu Yao's adaptation period in order to really integrate into the society they have to face. Quickly need one to two years, the need for slower twoto five years, individual students may be difficult to adapt to society. For these reasons that caused the education system. Our lack of understanding, is to catch up with developed countries in order to better levels of education. Barbara trained their personnel. If you or your friends need advice, can contact me, I will give you very good suggestions and comments. Including children's education, students and children should mind what physical and mental development.西方发达国家的教育,比较人性化,而且是因人而教,完全实施的是一种素质教育,甚至是一种宽松式的教育,甚至是大过人性化。

What We Can Learn From British Education?IntroductionAs we all know the teenagers are the hope of a country and education is a way to promote them to become a people who contribute to the society. So education is a huge project of a country in some way decides the future of a country. From this discussion, we communicate with each other and learn more about education of UK, including the Compulsory education and the higher education and we know we have to learn more from the more prefect education system from other countries if we want to do better in our education.Scorer for each member:Shuqing(钟淑清) 8 discuss in English and provide informationLiqiong (张丽琼) 9 discuss in English and provide useful information Jindi (蔡金娣) 7 speak English less and provide informationLiguo (黄理国) 8 speak English less but provide useful information Huahong(苏华虹) 9 discuss in English and encourage group members tospeak EnglishBodySchool education is a kind of social activities. It is beard by afull-time staff and specialized agencies, w hich has purpose, systematic, and organized. School education wants to influence the physical and mental development of the educated as a direct target. Because of the same propose of school education, there are some similarities in the education of Britain and China. The similarities include the below factors: 1. Both in China and Britain, school education includes primary education, secondary education and higher education. 2. Emphasize the development of students on Educational philosophy. Britain experts stress such an educational philosophy, "Every Child Matters". This is reflected in ensuring the safety of children, ensuring the health of children, ensuringthem enjoy school life, ensuring them learn something and receive something, and ensuring them know how to make a positive contributionto the society. This is interlinked with China's "Three All" (which meansall for students, for students in all and for all students) in essence. 3. Emphasize teachers’ professional development and continuing education training. Both China and Britain attach importance to thein teachers’ professionalism of teachers, focus on training their own quality.Because of different history, culture and economic strength, Chinaand Britain have different education ways, mainly reflected in educationalthinking and educational methods.1.the different thinking: China attaches importance to the knowledge-education, but Britain attaches importanceto the capacity-education. With the deep influence of Confucius's idea,China focuses on the importance of knowledge education. Teachers teach students whatever textbooks have; the examination can not break awayfrom textbooks. Even when children go home after school, parents stillask them to take out their textbooks and let them consolidate the contentthey have learned in the class, then familiar with the new content; theycan not get rid of the fixed framework of knowledge-education model. But the British teachers focus on capacity-education, they stress that thestudents can familiar with the things and phenomena what they want toknow about, then under teachers’ instruction and guidance, they can find the right answers and discover new knowledge. British teachers pay moresense o f independence, a nd let them toattention to train the children’stake the initiative. 2. The different method: the two countries havedifferent ways to achieve its goal in education, for instant, the Britishstudents learn more subjects than the Chinese students while the Chinese student have to study in school for longer time; the class generallyconsists of more than 60 students, twice of the British.; the teaching wayin China is almo st the teacher’s lectures while in Britain, the students doexperiment by themselves and discuss more. 3. The difference alsoreflects in the centre of the class. The teaching class in China takesteachers as the center. In lectures and discussions, students prefer to theformer. Students hope teachers can teach all of the knowledge about onetheme, but not willing to be asked questions by teachers. In the traditionalclass in China, we always can see that teachers stand on the platformrelating things from beginning to ending, but not ask for questions. Theteaching class in Britain takes students as the center. Teach and learn isdecided by student at large extent. The class looks like a discussionmeeting-place, teachers appear as the status of macroscopic monitors, they teach little, and give time to students. Teachers don’t use gre to explain the question clearly, but try to guide students to finds themselves. In this class, students must throw themselves in activelythought, so it produces enthusiastic and vivid discussion. When studentsmeet questions that they are hard to understand, they will ask teachers forthought oncehelp immediately and teachers will try to guide student’sagain until questions are all be solved. Of course, this continuous communication between teachers and students is good to student’s s.it at large extent developed the student’s ability of independent thinking In addition, there is also difference between the two countries in otheraspects. Britain has more compulsory years of education than China(11years in Britain and 9 years in China), while the higher education hasless years, British education spend only three years in university and one year to get a master degree. And term arrangements a re also different. There are two semesters i n China and the Britain has three terms. The distribution system of teachers between China and Britain is also different and so on. All of these reasons result from different teaching methods. From the difference of education between UK and China, we our group members conclude that there is something of British education worth reading. Firstly, student is the center of the class in Britain and they can choose what to learn and how to learn. Their teachers martiain that the aim of students study is to know new things, but not to recite contentsgreat interest in they have known. This type of class arise student’sstudying. Secondly, the Chinese teachers teach student what to know and how to do while the British teachers are just guiders. Students are encouraged to search information of the new things they are interested by themselves and do experiment to discover something new. No one would tell you what to learn, how to go, what you need to do is to explore, to try, to find by yourself. It really benefits students and improve their independence. We have talked about the primary school and middle school but how about the higher education such the universities. As we all know, the Oxford University and Cambridge University is the world-famousuniversities in Britain. When the cabinet ministers of UK went touniversities, they nearly all went to one or the other of these two. As theworld-famous universities, what are the features of these two universitiesare most admired? The two widely admired features of Oxford andCambridge: are the college system and the tutorial system. The college system of Oxford and Cambridge: is one whereby allstudents live in college during at least part of their course. The relationbetween universities and the college is just like that between the centralgovernment and local government in United Stated, the OxfordUniversity and Cambridge University prescribes syllabi, arrangesexamination and award degree. The college is responsible for thelife and the standard and the time of admitting students is students’decided by each college. The value of this system lies in fostering acommunity spirit in which a useful mingling of intelligence can takeplace. In our opinion, the college system should be extended to ourcountries because this kind of system take the characteristics and thedifferent The different requirements of the development of differentmajors into account, and universities provide more freedom for its collegeand meanwhile in the end of a year, the university can rank for the collegein accordance with the results of all college undergraduates, according tocertain rules of scoring. The ranking can promote competition betweencolleges. The other feature that is widely admired is the tutorial system ofOxford and Cambridge. It is one whereby each student gets personalroom. Each student get personaltuition once a week in his tutor’s owntuition once a week in his or her tutor’s room, sitting in an armchair and reading out an essay which he or she the tutor then discuss. This, with aweekly programmer of private study, is considered so important atOxford and Cambridge. The tutorial system benefits students a lot since itprovide students opportunity to communicate with his or her tutor anddiscuss problems with them, and also they can ask questions convenientlywhen they are confused, In this way, it does help students to broadenhorizons and encourage the ungraduates to think more when question isgiven out by their tutors therefore it is of great importance to extend thistutorial system in our country if we want to Improve the quality of thehigher education. However it seems not easy to come true in China forlack of teachers and large number of ungraduates .In my college, we alsohave the tutorial system. A team of four students has a tutor while wedidn’t meet once a week let along discuss topics together. Even I justmeet my tutor since the first term of my university. So in our country, tutorial system exists but doesn’t play an important role in university.Only if we use it in a proper way will it benefit us and the highereducation of our country. With the great development of society, no matter in China or Britain, the higher education has made a great progress, for example, in China, more and more universities are founded and more and more senior school students are adopted because of the lower standard. While, what benefit can we get from the higher education. Firstly, it is reported that the development of higher education has direterly increase the GDP growth. In the early 1960 s American economists Schultz analyzed the contribution of human capital on economics, the empirical research shows that the United States 1929 ~ 1957 years because education investment of the realization of the economic benefits (net benefits) for 49.5 billion us dollars, accounting for the same period the United States economic growth of 70% of the balance of 71 billion dollars, accounting for the 1929-1957 national income growth of 33% of the total amount of $152 billion. Chinese scholars have also do research and prove this point. Secondly, the development of higher education, pull the expansion of domestic demand. With development of higher education, more and moreeducation and it also parents invest more money in their children’sopened up the market for educational institutions to help either the students who can’t enter universities or adults to get higher education. Thirdly, the development of higher education increases personal gain. Students get more knowledge and acquire more skills from higher education and then they can get higher paid and increase their income. However, the development of higher education needs huge capital investment, education form of fixed assets. A t the same time educationactivities, research activities also want to use a lot of labor, the wholenation now engaged in education work of the staff more than 10 million, college students more than 200 million. And what is more important, ifwe only develop the higher education in quantity but not in quality, it willarise more problems, for example, more and more students are addimittedto universities while more and more graduates couldn’t find a job .A lar quantities of universities demand huge investment and labor while ourhigher education is still in a low level.ConclusionFrom this discussion, we learn the similarity and difference ofeducation between China and UK, discuss the higher education and thinkwhat we can learn from the British education according to the weak pointof our country’seducation. Then we all agree that we can learn fromcollege system and tutorial system of the two world-famous universitiesthe Oxford and the Cambridge.。

中英教育差异英语作文
中英教育差异英语作文Education is an essential part of our lives, and it plays a significant role in shaping individuals and societies. In today's globalized world, the differences between Chinese and English education have become a topic of interest and discussion. Understanding these differences can provide valuable insights into the strengths and weaknesses of each system, as well as the potential for cross-cultural learning and collaboration. One of the most notable differences between Chinese and English education is the emphasis on rote memorization versus critical thinking. In China, students are often required to memorize large amounts of information and regurgitate it on exams. This approach to learning can lead to a strong foundation of knowledge, but it may also stifle creativity and independent thinking. On the other hand, English education places a greater emphasis on critical thinking, problem-solving, and the application of knowledge. Students are encouraged to question, analyze, and evaluate information, which can lead to a deeper understanding of the subject matter and the development of essential skills for the future.Another significant difference lies in the teaching methods and classroom dynamics. In China, the traditional teaching style is often characterized by a teacher-centered approach, where the teacher lectures and imparts knowledge to the students. This can lead to a passive learning experience for students, with limited opportunities for interaction and participation. In contrast, English education tends to favor a student-centered approach, where teachers act as facilitators and guides, encouraging active participation, group discussions, and collaborative learning. This approach can foster a more engaging and dynamic learning environment, where students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning and develop important communication and teamwork skills.Furthermore, the assessment and evaluation systems in Chinese and English education differ significantly. In China, the emphasis is often placed on high-stakes exams, such as the Gaokao, which can determine a student's future academic and career prospects. This can create a highly competitive and stressful environment for students, where success is often measured by test scores and academic achievements. In contrast, English education tends to use a more holistic approach to assessment, taking into account a student's overall performance, creativity, critical thinking, and personal development. This can help to reduce the pressure on students and provide a more balanced and comprehensive evaluation of their abilities and potential. In conclusion, the differences between Chinese and English education are significant and reflect the unique cultural, social, and historical contexts in which they have developed. While both systems have their strengths and limitations, understanding and appreciating these differences can provide valuable opportunities for cross-cultural learning and collaboration. By learning from each other's experiences and best practices, we can work towards creating a more inclusive, diverse, and effective education system that prepares students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.。

比较基础教育在美国和中国,人们的普遍观点将:中国的基础教育旨在建立基础教育同更多的学习和更少的想法,而美国的教育旨在建造这样的教育,提高创新的研究,以更少的思想。

Social Environmental InfluenceWhat Chinese lack most is the responsibility education. In the United States, it is common to see an adult who is doing something wrong or has some bad behaviors educates a child while the child is not the adult’s own kid. The Americans treat every child as their own child, and it is their responsibility to educate the child. In England, the power of a middle-aged woman is inevitable. They are always in the supervision of the behavior of young consciously, just as the police general. They think it is their duty to observe the children in their country. These two nations have already put the responsibility of educating the next generation to every citizen. Every citizen also shows his responsibility for he future of the country in caring about the children. While in China, who will treat educating the next generation as his own responsibility? If one sees an unknown child who is doing something wrong, will he go and educate him? It is very common in China that adults tend to show indifferent with unknownchildren. What if we change our mind and learn to care others?社会环境影响中国最缺乏的是责任教育。
中西教育对比英文作文
中西教育对比英文作文英文:When it comes to comparing Chinese and Western education, there are certainly some key differences to consider. In my experience, Western education tends to place a greater emphasis on critical thinking and creativity, while Chinese education is often more focused on rote memorization and test-taking.One major difference is the way that students are encouraged to think and learn. In Western education, there is often a greater emphasis on independent thinking and exploration. Students are encouraged to ask questions and challenge assumptions, and to develop their own ideas and opinions. This can be seen in the way that Western classrooms are often structured, with students working in small groups or pairs to discuss and debate ideas. In contrast, Chinese education tends to be morestructured and focused on following rules and procedures. Students are expected to memorize a lot of information and perform well on exams, rather than developing their own ideas or opinions. This can be seen in the way that Chinese classrooms are often more teacher-centered, with the teacher lecturing and students taking notes.Another key difference is the way that creativity is encouraged and valued. In Western education, creativity is often seen as a key skill to develop, and students are encouraged to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions to problems. This can be seen in the way that Western schools often have art classes, music classes, and other creative outlets for students. In Chinese education, however, creativity is often less valued, and students are expected to conform to established norms and rules. This can be seen in the way that Chinese schools often prioritize academic subjects like math and science over art and music.Overall, there are certainly pros and cons to bothChinese and Western education systems. While Western education may encourage more independent thinking and creativity, Chinese education may be more effective at preparing students for exams and standardized tests. Ultimately, the best education system is one that takes the strengths of both approaches and combines them in a waythat best suits the needs of the students.中文:当谈到比较中西教育时,有一些关键的差异需要考虑。

中英教育差异英语作文范文100字全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1In China, the education system differs significantly from that in England. Here are some key differences between the two systems:1. Structure: In China, students are required to study a wide range of subjects, including Chinese language, mathematics, science, history, and physical education. In England, students can choose their subjects after age 16.2. Assessment: In China, students are assessed through exams and homework assignments. In England, students are assessed through a combination of exams, coursework, and practical assessments.3. Teaching methods: In China, teachers tend to use traditional teaching methods, such as lectures and rote memorization. In England, teachers use a more interactive approach, encouraging students to participate actively in lessons.4. Class size: In China, classes can be quite large, with up to 50 students per class. In England, classes are usually smaller, with around 30 students per class.5. School hours: In China, students typically have a longer school day, starting at around 8 am and finishing at around 5 pm. In England, the school day is shorter, usually starting at around 9 am and finishing at around 3:30 pm.Overall, while both education systems have their strengths and weaknesses, it is clear that the Chinese and English education systems operate quite differently. Both systems have their advantages, and students in each country can benefit from a well-rounded education that prepares them for the future.篇2In recent years, the differences between Chinese and English education have become a topic of interest. There are several key distinctions between the two education systems that are worth exploring. One major difference is the teaching style. In English education, there is a focus on fostering critical thinking and creativity. Students are encouraged to think for themselves, question information, and develop their own opinions. On theother hand, Chinese education places a heavy emphasis on rote memorization and test scores. Students are expected to absorb information and regurgitate it on exams.Another difference is the schedule and workload. In English education, there is a greater focus on work-life balance. Students have more free time to pursue extracurricular activities and hobbies. In Chinese education, students have a rigorous schedule with long hours of studying and homework. There is less time for leisure activities. The assessment methods also vary between the two education systems. In English education, assessment is often based on a combination of exams, assignments, and projects. There is a focus on understanding concepts and applying knowledge. In Chinese education, the emphasis is on standardized tests, such as the Gaokao, which determine a student's future academic and career path.Overall, while both Chinese and English education systems have their strengths and weaknesses, it is important to recognize the differences and learn from each other. By understanding and appreciating the nuances of each system, we can work towards creating a more well-rounded and effective education system for all students.篇3In China, the education system is known for its emphasis on memorization and exams, while the British education system focuses more on critical thinking and creativity. These differences lead to distinct teaching methods and student experiences in the two countries. In China, students often spend hours memorizing information to prepare for exams, which determine their future opportunities. The focus is on rote learning and mastering content rather than understanding the concepts. On the other hand, in the UK, students are encouraged to think critically and creatively, with an emphasis on problem-solving and independent learning. This approach aims to develop students' analytical skills and ability to apply knowledge in real-world situations. In terms of teaching methods, Chinese teachers typically use a lecture-based approach, where students passively receive information from the teacher. In contrast, British teachers employ a more interactive style, encouraging students to engage in discussions, debates, and group activities. This fosters a collaborative learning environment and helps students develop communication and teamwork skills.Furthermore, extracurricular activities play a significant role in the British education system, with a focus on sports, arts, and community service. This holistic approach aims to develop students' character and leadership qualities, in addition to academic achievement. In China, extracurricular activities are often seen as secondary to academics, with little emphasis on personal development or well-roundedness.Overall, the differences in the Chinese and British education systems reflect contrasting priorities and values. While the Chinese system prioritizes academic excellence and conformity, the British system values critical thinking, creativity, and personal growth. Both systems have their strengths and weaknesses, but understanding these differences can help educators and policymakers learn from each other and improve the quality of education for all students.。
中西方教育差异英语作文
中西方教育差异英语作文The Differences Between Chinese and Western Education。
Education is an important part of our lives, and it plays a crucial role in shaping our future. However, theway education is approached and implemented varies greatly between different cultures. In this essay, I will discuss the differences between Chinese and Western education, and how these differences impact the students in each system. One of the most notable differences between Chinese and Western education is the teaching style. In China, the education system is heavily focused on rote memorizationand standardized testing. Students are expected to memorize large amounts of information and regurgitate it on exams. This can lead to a lack of critical thinking and creativity, as students are not encouraged to question or think outside the box. On the other hand, in Western education, there isa greater emphasis on critical thinking, creativity, and independent learning. Students are encouraged to askquestions, think critically, and express their own opinions. This fosters a more well-rounded and independent approachto learning.Another key difference is the role of the teacher. In China, the teacher is seen as the ultimate authority figure, and students are expected to respect and obey them without question. This can lead to a lack of open communication and collaboration in the classroom. In Western education, the teacher is seen more as a facilitator of learning, and students are encouraged to engage in open discussions and debates. This creates a more dynamic and interactivelearning environment.Furthermore, the curriculum in Chinese and Western education also differs significantly. In China, the curriculum is heavily focused on core subjects such as math, science, and language, with little emphasis on the arts, humanities, or physical education. This can lead to a lackof well-roundedness and creativity in students. In Western education, there is a greater emphasis on a broad and diverse curriculum, which includes not only core subjectsbut also the arts, humanities, and physical education. This allows students to explore their interests and develop a more holistic education. The impact of these differences on students is significant. In China, students often feel immense pressure to perform well on exams, which can lead to high levels of stress and anxiety. This can also lead to a lack of motivation and passion for learning, as students are simply focused on memorizing information for exams. In Western education, students are encouraged to think critically, be creative, and pursue their interests. This can lead to a more positive and fulfilling learning experience, as students are able to explore their passions and develop a love for learning. In conclusion, the differences between Chinese and Western education are vast and have a significant impact on the students in each system. While Chinese education is focused on rote memorization and standardized testing, Western education emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, and independent learning. These differences shape the waystudents approach learning and can have long-lasting effects on their education and future. It is important to recognize and understand these differences in order to create a more well-rounded and effective education system.。

It is beard by a full-time staff and specialized agencies, which has purpose, systematic, and organized. This is reflected in ensuring the safety of children, ensuring the health of children, ensuring them enjoy school life, ensuring them learn something and receive something, and ensuring them know how to make a positive contribution to the society. This is interlinked with China's "Three All" (which means all for students, for students in all and for all students) in essence. 3. Emphasize teachers’ professional development and continuing education in teachers’ training. Both China and Britain attach importance to the professionalism of teachers, focus on training their own quality.Because of different history, culture and economic strength, China and Britain have different education ways, mainly reflected in educational thinking and educational methods.1.the different thinking: China attaches importance to the knowledge-education, but Britain attaches importance to the capacity-education. With the deep influence of Confucius's idea, China focuses on the importance of knowledge education. Teachers teach students whatever textbooks have; the examination can not break away from textbooks. Even when children go home after school, parents still ask them to take out their textbooks and let them consolidate the content they have learned in the class, then familiar with the new content; they can not get rid of the fixed framework of knowledge-education model. But the British teachers focus on capacity-education, they stress that the students can familiar with the things and phenomena what they want to know about, then under teachers’ instruction and guidance, they can find the right answers and discover new knowledge. British teachers pay more attention to train the children’s sense of independence, and let them to take the initiative. 2. The different method: the two countries have different ways to achieve its goal in education, for instant, the British students learn more subjects than the Chinese students while the Chinese student have to study in school for longer time; the class generally consists of more than 60 students, twice of the British.; the teaching way in China is almo st the teacher’s lectures while in Britain, the students doexperiment by themselves and discuss more. 3. The difference also reflects in the centre of the class. The teaching class in China takes teachers as the center. In lectures and discussions, students prefer to the former. Students hope teachers can teach all of the knowledge about one theme, but not willing to be asked questions by teachers. In the traditional class in China, we always can see that teachers stand on the platform relating things from beginning to ending, but not ask for questions. The teaching class in Britain takes students as the center. Teach and learn is decided by student at large extent. The class looks like a discussion meeting-place, teachers appear as the status of macroscopic monitors, they teach little, and give time to students. Teachers don’t use great effort to explain the question clearly, but try to guide students to finds themselves. In this class, students must throw themselves in actively thought, so it produces enthusiastic and vivid discussion. When students meet questions that they are hard to understand, they will ask teachers for help immediately and teachers will try to guide student’s thought once again until questions are all be solved. Of course, this continuous communication between teachers and students is good to student’s study, it at large extent developed the student’s ability of independent thinking. In addition, there is also difference between the two countries in other aspects. Britain has more compulsory years of education than China (11years in Britain and 9 years in China), while the higher education hasless years, British education spend only three years in university and one year to get a master degree. And term arrangements are also different. There are two semesters in China and the Britain has three terms. Their teachers martiain that the aim of students study is to know new things, but not to recite contents they have known. This type of class arise student’s great interest in studying. When the cabinet ministers of UK went to universities, they nearly all went to one or the other of these two. As the world-famous universities, what are the features of these two universities are most admired? The two widely admired features of Oxford and Cambridge: are the college system and the tutorial system. The college system of Oxford and Cambridge: is one whereby all students live in college during at least part of their course. The relation between universities and the college is just like that between the central government and local government in United Stated, the Oxford University and Cambridge University prescribes syllabi, arranges examination and award degree. The college is responsible for the students’life and the standard and the time of admitting students is decided by each college. The value of this system lies in fostering a community spirit in which a useful mingling of intelligence can take place. In our opinion, the college system should be extended to our countries because this kind of system take the characteristics and the different The different requirements of the development of different majors into account, and universities provide more freedom for its college and meanwhile in the end of a year, the university can rank for the college in accordance with the results of all college undergraduates, according to certain rules of scoring. The ranking can promote competition between colleges. The other feature that is widely admired is the tutorial system of Oxford and Cambridge. It is one whereby each student gets personal tuition once a week in his tutor’s own room. Each student get personal tuition once a week in his or her tutor’s room, sitting in an armchair and reading out an essay which he or she the tutor then discuss. This, with a weekly programmer of private study, is considered so important at Oxford and Cambridge. The tutorial system benefits students a lot since it provide students opportunity to communicate with his or her tutor and discuss problems with them, and also they can ask questions conveniently when they are confused, In this way, it does help students to broaden horizons and encourage the ungraduates to think more when question is given out by their tutors therefore it is of great importance to extend this tutorial system in our country if we want to Improve the quality of the higher education. However it seems not easy to come true in China for lack of teachers and large number of ungraduates .In my college, we also have the tutorial system. A team of four students has a tutor while we didn’t meet once a week let along discuss topics together. Even I just meet my tutor since the first term of my university. So in our country, tutorial system exists but doesn’t play an impo rtant role in university. Only if we use it in a proper way will it benefit us and the higher education of our country. With development of higher education, more and more parents invest more money in their ch ildren’s education and it also opened up the market for educational institutions to help either the students who can’t enter universities or adults to get higher education. Thirdly, the development of higher education increases personal gain. Students get more knowledge and acquire more skills from higher education and then they can get higher paid and increase their income. However, the development of higher education needs huge capital investment, education form of fixed assets. At the same time education activities, research activities also want to use a lot of labor, the whole nation now engaged in education work of the staff more than 10 million, college students more than 200 million. And what is more important, if we only develop the higher education in quantity but not in quality, it will arise more problems, for example, more and more students are addimitted to universities while more and more graduates couldn’t find a job .A large quantities of universities demand huge investment and labor while our higher education is still in a low level.ConclusionFrom this discussion, we learn the similarity and difference of education between China and UK, discuss the higher education and think what we can learn from the British education according to the weak point of our country’s education. Then we all agree that we can learn from college system and tutorial system of the two world-famous universities the Oxford and the Cambridge.。
