无锡是个好地方。
我所以这么说，丝毫不因为她是我的故乡。
我想，即使用外地人挑剔的眼光来看，也是如此。
无锡给我的印象始终是：风光旖旎的“太湖明珠”，日新月异的“鱼米之乡”。
要领略太湖美景，自然是去鼋头渚。
有首诗说得好：“太湖佳绝处，毕竟在鼋头。
”站在山下往上望，满山郁郁葱葱的，其中有亭堂隐隐现现，引你迫不及待地上山去寻。
一路上，能见到些许山亭庙堂。
它们的建筑风格比较独特，节奏明快，活泼而不压抑。
登上山顶，太湖美景就尽收眼底了。
多么宽广的水面啊，简直望不到头!昆明湖和她比起来，未免黯然失色。
她是那样清澈，看着她，你的心都会透明起来。
这是一种毫无雕饰的自然的美，恬静的美。
再极目远眺，那处于烟波浩渺之中的，莫不是蓬莱、方丈、瀛洲三仙岛?不，那是“三山”。
看，多象一只悠然自得的大青龟，若隐若现，忽浮忽沉。

欣赏无锡景的好去处并不只是鼋头渚，还有蠡园、梅园、锡惠公园等许多地方。
蠡园，为纪念范蠡、西施而取名。
园内有一座假山，叫“云窝”，很是玲珑剔透，还有苏东坡等人的墨迹在此园。
锡惠公园最著名的是“天下第二泉”，民间音乐家瞎子阿炳的《二泉映月》
写的就是它。
这个公园还有个园中园-寄畅园，风景别致、秀美，颐和园的諧趣园就是仿它而造的。
梅园，自然有梅树。
当梅花盛开的时节，满园花香，那才叫美呢。
无锡之所以成为“太湖明珠”，并非只因她风光秀丽，还因她是个“鱼米之乡”。
有了太湖这个天赐的“宝湖”，无锡的渔业兴旺发达。
不管你走进副食店还是自由市场，到处可以见到鱼儿一条条活蹦乱跳的，很新鲜。
无锡人和许多南方人一样，以米为主食，而她的稻米产量也是很高的，是全国“四大米市”之一。
近几年来，无锡的发展非常快，尤其是轻工业。
丝绸、棉纺、电子产品畅销各地，北京许多厂用的柴油发电机，也产于无锡。
而郊区幢幢的新楼房，便是农业发展的最好证明。
由于工农业的飞速发展，无锡曾被评为全国第二大“明星城”（明星城是发展迅速、成绩卓著的城市），仅次于常州。
无锡的传统产品也有了新的改进和发展。
“惠山泥人”是无锡顶有名的手工艺品，有好几百年历史了。
泥塑“弥勒佛”，腆着肚子，笑眯眯的，好玩得很;观音菩萨，手捧净瓶，端庄宁静，挺好看的;七品芝麻官，官帽一碰一摇，滑稽极了。
还有小孩、老太等泥塑，多得数不清。
如果你想在无锡买些东西，不妨来几个“惠山泥人”。
噢，对了，再来些酱排骨、油面筋等名产。
当然，最好的纪念是在太湖边照张像，那一定会使你终生难忘。
