【基础知识梳理】

一、基数词和序数词相互转换

one—first two—second three—third four—fourth five—fifth six—sixth seven—seventh eight—eighth nine—ninth ten—tenth eleven—eleventh twelve—twelfth thirteen—thirteenth fourteen—fourteenth fifteen—fifteenth sixteen—sixteenth seventeen—seventeenth eighteen—eighteenth

nineteen—nineteenth twenty—twentieth thirty—thirtieth

forty—fortieth fifty—fiftieth sixty—sixtieth

seventy—seventieth eighty—eightieth ninety—ninetieth

基数词变序数词口诀

基变序，有规律，末尾加上th；

一二三，特殊记，八加h，九去e，ve要用f替，

以y结尾变ie，后跟th莫忘记；

若想表示几十几，只变个位就可以。

二、基数词和序数词的用法

1．序数词前一般要用the。如：

The second is what I really need. 第二个是我真正需要的。

重点记忆：first second third fifth ninth twelfth twentieth thirtieth等序数词

2．序数词前若有限定词，则可以不用加the。如：

It is my third time to visit Beijing.这是我第三次访问北京。

3．序数词前面也可以加不定冠词a或an，表示“又一，再”，内含顺序性。

如：

We've tried it three times.Must we try it a fourth time？

我们已经试过三遍了。还必须再试一次(第四次)吗？

三、概数词的用法

1．hundred，thousand，million，billion（十亿）与具体的数字one，two…或several，some，many等连用时，要用单数形式。如：

five hundred people 500人two thousand books 两千本书

many million trees 几百万棵树

2．表示大概数字时用复数形式且与of连用，前面不能再加数字。如：

thousands of factories成千上万家工厂

四、数词的其他常见表达

1．编号表示法

名词＋基数词＝the＋序数词＋名词。如：

第一课Lesson One＝the first lesson 第二页Page Two＝the second page 2路公车Bus No.2或the No.2 bus。

有时可以直接用数字来表示。如：

206房间Room 206 一年级二班Class 2, Grade 1

2．世纪表示法

通常为定冠词＋序数词＋世纪(century)，也可为定冠词＋百位进数＋'s。如：the sixth(6th) century公元6世纪the 1900's20世纪

3．年代表示法

用“in＋the＋年代-s”表示“在几十世纪几十年代”；若表示早期、中期、晚

期时，可在定冠词前添加early，mid-，late。

in the 1960's在20世纪60年代

in the early1830's在19世纪30年代初期

in the late 1920's在20世纪20年代末期

也可用“in＋one's＋整十的复数”表示“在某人……多岁时”。如：

in her twenties在她20多岁时

4．年、月、日表示法

通常英式英语表达顺序为“日，月，年”，而美式英语表达为“月，日，年”。一般“年份”用基数词(可简写)，“日期”用序数词，读时前面(可以)加定冠词the。如：

on May 5th, 2015在2015年5月5日

5. 分数表示法

分子基数词，分母序数词；分子大于一，分母加s。如：

one third 三分之一two fifths 五分之二

其中二分之一one half 四分之一one fourth/quarter

6．数词的其他重要表示法

表示在一定基础上增加一定的数量，用“another＋基数词＋名词复数＝基

数词＋more＋名词复数”。

We need another two chairs.＝We need two more chairs.

我们还需要两把椅子。

。如：表示计量时，用“基数词＋度量单位＋形容词(long/wide/deep/high…)”Lin Shuhao is 1.91 meters tall. 林书豪身高 1.91米。“基数词＋连字符＋名词(＋形容词)”作定语，名词用单数形式。如：

a fifteen-year-old boy一个15岁的男孩

比较：The boy is fifteen years old.

a five-year plan一个五年计划

a ten-minute walk＝ten minutes' walk步行十分钟的路程
