什么是素质教育?

家长:请您解释一下什么是素质教育?

专家:我认为,素质教育作为一种理念,指的是德﹑智﹑体﹑美全面发展的教

育。其目的在于培养知识丰富﹑身心

健康﹑掌握多种技能的复合型人才。

素质教育是针对应试教育而言的。后

其课堂教学主要是注入式或“填鸭

式”,注重传授书本知识,而忽略培

养创造能力﹑应变能力和合作精神。

创造能力指的是要有创新的思维和

要创新,就可能有风险。常常是风险

和机遇相伴而存。因此,青年人要敢

于冒风险,敢于独辟蹊径,以创造新

的机会。在市场竞争和人才竞争的当

变化之前,先改变自我。现代青年更

多地强调个人理想﹑个人价值﹑和

What Is Quality-Oriented education? Parent: Could you please give an explanation of quality-oriented

education?

Expert: I think quality-oriented education as a concept refers to

education for all-round

development in morality,

intelligence, physical culture

and aesthetics. It aims at

cultivating integration-type

personnel who have rich knowledge,

keep healthy physically and

mentally, and master several

kinds of skills.

Quality-oriented education is

termed in contrast with

examination-oriented education.

The latter aims at training

students who are good at learning

by rote and passing exams. Its classroom teaching is mainly conducted in the spoon-feeding way or the cramming way, which lays stress on imparting book knowledge while ignoring the fostering of creativity, capability of rising to the occasion, and spirit of cooperation. Creativity refers to having original thinking and pioneering spirit, and being bold in breaking the set patterns, conventions and trying the new methods and new approaches. There may well be risks if you want to make innovations. It is often the case that risks go together and co-exist with opportunities. Therefore, young people must have the courage to take risks and open up a new path, so as to create new
