雅思写作关于就业类范⽂推荐 Businesses should hire employees for their entire lives. Do you agree or disagree? Model Answer: I would have to completely disagree with the statement above. In the following paragraphs I will outline the basic concepts of my position. First of all, I will least the major disadvantages for employers. On the today's market a company must be very flexible in order to compete with other firms. So, imagine the situation when a company can not fire its employees to stay on the market. It will lead to loosing not only a profit, but the clients, market share and competitive ability. Now, imagine the situation when a company is growing fast, everything is good and the next few years are going to be excellent. So, employers need more people to extend the production. However, nobody can tell what will happen in a few years. In this case, employers will be afraid to hire new people and extend their business because they will not be able to fire them if something goes wrong. Another important aspect of this is that a company can not have the best employees. It can not hire the better one without dismissing another employee. What kind of disadvantages will have an employee in exchange for this kind of job security? First of all, it will be very difficult to find a job if one is not the best, because an employer does not want to spend money on one's education. Besides, employer will not have a chance to fire one if he does not do his job well. Second of all, employees with this kind of security tend not to perfect themselves because after they are hired they can not lose their job. In conclusion, I would like to add that this statement has some positive aspects too such as constancy, a strong spirit of the company, etc. This system takes place in Japan and some companies succeeded in it. But I think that the reason of it subsists in the Japanese traditions, the particular cultural features, habits and customs. However, on today's market here in the United States a company can not afford to hire employees for their entire life. 雅思写作关于政府类范⽂推荐 Most writers of fiction do not earn enough money to live from their writing. Do you think the government should give them financial assistance to help encourage good literature? Model Answer: There are some conditions under which a novelist could reasonably expect some government support. In general terms, if the writer has already proved that he or she can write well, and if the stories produced are stimulating and interesting, then I consider that some financial help might be given. Language quality is difficult to define, but if the writing shows, for example, good grammar, a wide vocabulary, and elegance and imagination, then I can see a valid reason for assisting an author to spend some time free from money problems. Such a writing needs to be encouraged. the entertainment value of a book would be also a factor in deciding whether to provide assistance to an author. Further consideration would include social and educational values expressed in the author's work. However, if the ideas were socially irresponsible, or if the stories contain unnecessary violence or pornography for its own sake, then I would not want to see the author sponsored to write stories which do not benefit society. Other exceptions are the many writers of good books who do not require financial help. Books which proved to be extremely popular, such as the Harry Potter stories, clearly need no subsidy at all because the authors have become rich through their writing. Views on what good quality writing means will vary widely, and so if any author is to be given money for writing, then the decision would have to be made by a committee or panel of judge. An individual opinion would certainly cause disagreement among the reading public.【2016年雅思写作范⽂推荐】。

Specifically, in 1998, migrants who spoke English tend to be poorly employed, decreasing from 8% to 3% with some eventual fluctuations.Similar number of non-migrants and migrants whose first language was not English were laid-off that year. After rising marginally till 1999, there was a fall in the figure for those born-Australians while a constant decline occurred in non-English speaking laborers to 1%.To conclude, people who born where English is not widely spoken are inclined to live a more impoverished life.(190 words) TASK 2题目类别:广告类提问方式:Agree/disagree考试题目: Nowadays a large amount of advertising aiming at children should be banned because of the negative effects. To what extent do you agree or disagree?范文:(word count:331)Advertising has been considered as an effective way to boostthe sales of the advertised products, which is widely used in diverse areas. However, some side effects produced by the advertisements especially those directed at children have aroused the concern among the public. From my perspective, these advertisements should be strictly regulated rather than banned. It is undeniable that advertisements can inform consumers about new products and services, which helps children and parents make informed choices. The advertising campaigns not only allow consumers to get to know a variety of alternative goods, but also the distinctive features of each brand, hence children or their parents can make a comparison of those products and purchase the ones in need. Apart from that, advertising is an important source of entertainment which gives children a lot of fun. As many advertisements shown on TV are both educational and attractive to children, they can gain many benefits while watching. For example, those funny cartoon characters can teach children to dance or sing.On the other hand, some negative influences should also be taken into consideration. Due to the fact that children have not developed physically and mentally to a full extent, they can be easily swayed by advertising. If the advertisements contain some misleading information, children may not have the ability to distinguish right from wrong, and consider the information or the specific action to be acceptable. Meanwhile, some of the advertisements can be deceptive. In order to pursue profits to a larger extent, some companies may deliberately exaggerate the advantages of their products and hide those potential risks. As a result, children may pester their parents to buy these products which turn out to be not exactly the same.To summarize, children-aimed advertisements can bring both positive and negative effects. Instead of banning them, the government can attach tighter regulations in the procedure of examination and approval. At the same time, parents should take the responsibility of guiding children when the false advertisements occur.猜你可能喜欢:。

2016雅思写作精选范⽂之科技类 We have been living in the nuclear age now for over half a century. Since the first atomic bombs were developed, nuclear technology has provided governments with the ability to totally destroy the planet. Yet the technology has been put to positive use as an energy source and in certain areas of medicine. To what extent is nuclear technology a danger to life on Earth? What are the benefits and risks associated with its use? Model Answer: These days, many people are afraid of nuclear technology because of the dangers associated with its use. In my opinion, although it is true that nuclear weapons pose the greatest threat to life, the use of nuclear technology for peaceful purposes also carries some serious risks. Nuclear power stations provide an important source of cheap power for many industrialised nations and some developing countries. However, there is always the danger of radiation leaking from these plants. Even though safety precautions are taken, there have been numerous disasters such as the explosion of a nuclear plant in Russia not long ago. Nuclear technology is even used to help cure some diseases such as cancer. Radiation can be applied to the body to burn away cancerous cells. This is, however, a dangerous procedure, and the application of radiation is almost always painful and not always successful. The most worrying aspect of nuclear technology, though, is its use for military purposes. Enough atomic bombs have already been built to completely destroy the planet, and the real danger is that one day some country will start a war with these weapons. Too many countries now have the technology required to make such bombs, and there is currently much debate about how to control the situation. In conclusion, nuclear technology certainly has positive uses, but is, nonetheless, dangerous. However, it would have been better if it had never been used to create nuclear weapons. If life on Earth is to continue. 2016雅思写作精选范⽂之犯罪类 Without capital punishment (the death penalty) our lives are less secure and crimes of violence increase. Capital punishment in essential to control violence in society. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? Model Answer: Before talking about the essential role of death penalty, you have to think about the meaning, and the purpose, of any kind of punishment. If you consider that the purpose is to prevent the guilty from being nasty again, you can be seduced by an argumentation in favour of the suppression of capital punishment. But you have to think about another aspect of the problem: a punishment is also useful to impress people, to make them fear the law. In fact, let's take the example of a young misfit, which has grown in a violent atmosphere, influenced by older delinquents, etc ... He lives in the streets, he's got no aim but to survive. This is the kind of person who could possibly kill someone for money, or even for fun ... Why would he fear prison? Life would be easier for him there. In addition, in many cases, when you behave normally, you can benefit from penalty reductions. This young misfit needs to be impressed, he needs to know that the law is a frontier. When you cross it, you can lose your life. That is why capital punishment helps keeping a distance between robbery and murder. If you abolish it, you suppress the difference between these two types of crime, which are completely different. But there is also a limit to define: even if death penalty is unavoidable, it would be a crime to apply it to inadequate cases. If there is no premeditation or past facts which can justify such a punishment, it is far too strict to apply death penalty. That is why the lawmakers have to establish precisely the context in which capital punishment car be pronounced. That is the price to pay to limit violence without using excessive violence.。

One argument commonly raised that this process will be damaging to the globe diversity. When locals are bombarded with foreign products or culture, they may gradually abandon their traditional values or ways of life, so this would have a negative impact on their national or cultural identities in the long run. They even quote numerous examples such as the Eskimo in Iceland and Mosuo ethnic group in Southwest China to illustrate their point of view. While this is particularly true of some minority cultures, I want to point out that they are still special cases instead of the general rule.Generally speaking, sharing something across the globe can contribute to a deeper mutual understanding between different nations. For example, a piece of country music by John Denver may well shed light on the peaceful daily life of Americans while a pop song by Cui Jian may introduce to Westerners a much more familiar China. What is more, an experience of some alien cultures may encourage more appreciation of the local ones, rather than assimilation or malfunction. There is overwhelming evidence on this when we consider japan, or China, or even the US, which tend to incorporate theinternational elements into the local. To conclude, I am quite optimistic about the prospect of an increasingly similar world. Of course, some minority groups may be put at a disadvantage for they cannot receive equal attention as the superpowers. So I also advocate that governments or other bodies should make efforts to bring these minorities into the international horizon.B卷参考范文Knowledge is power, Francis bacon wrote long ago. Education has a key to play in one’s growth and a nation’s development.Education is the driving force of productivity. Keeping this in mind, numerous countries and governments are paying closer attention to the cultivation of talents. People differ greatly in their views as to how to wisely allocate educational budget, some people assert that instead of supporting other subjects, national investment in science is desirable. As I see it, government should place equal stress on both science and arts.Granted, plenty of evidence and arguments could be easily found to prove that it is advisable for a nation to subsidize science. For a start, the competition among different countries, to some extent, amounts to the competition of gifted people. Science and technology is the stimulating factor of the development of productivity. Large amounts of talents could inject new life into a nation’s prosperity. Besides, in comparison with art students, those who are better equipped with science knowledge such as computer, business and accounting could create more commercial value.Nevertheless, it is rather superficial to simply say that national budget should be only restricted to science investment. The mightiness of a nation involves many aspects and the cultivati on of good citizens or talents is to realize one’s comprehensive development. The construction of a country needs enterprisers, mathematicians and scientist, yet, on no account can we ignore the immense value of artists, writers, musicians. In addition to science subjects, literature, history, philosophy, music, art and PE should also become the aim of education. Literature strengthens one’s cultural deposit, history deepens one’s insight into life, philosophy fosters one’s analytical thinking, music moulds one’s temperament, art cultivates one’s artistic eye and PE enhances one’s health index. In these senses, art still deserves enough attachment and support. Art talents are indispensable to the betterment of a country.Overall, I re-affirm my conviction that education should not have too much utilitarian, conversely, it needs to render more concerns over one’s spiritual growth and character-training. Ideal educational policy should place equal significance on science investment and other subjects.猜你可能喜欢:。
2016雅思作文范文
2016雅思作文范文Globalization is a phenomenon that has transformed the world in various aspects, including economy, culture, and communication. While it has brought numerous benefits, such as increased economic growth and cultural exchange, it also poses significant challenges that need to be addressed. This essay will discuss both the advantages and disadvantages of globalization. One of the most significant advantages of globalization is the expansion of markets. Businesses can now operate on a global scale, allowing them to access new customers and resources. This not only increases their revenue but also fosters competition, which can lead to better quality products and services. For instance, technology companies can source materials from different countries, reducing costs and improving efficiency. Moreover, globalization has facilitated cultural exchange. People from different parts of the world can share their traditions, languages, and ideas more easily than ever before. This has enriched localcultures and promoted understanding among different societies. For example, the popularity of international cuisine and music has created a more diverse cultural landscape, allowing people to appreciate and learn from each other's heritage. However, globalization also has its downsides. One of the most pressing issues is the widening economic gap between developed and developing countries. While globalization has benefited many, it has also led to job losses in certain industries as companies relocate to countries with cheaper labor. This can result in social unrest and increased poverty in affected areas.Additionally, the cultural homogenization that often accompanies globalization can threaten local identities. As global brands and media dominate, unique cultural practices may be overshadowed or even lost. This can lead to a loss of diversity, as communities adopt a more uniform lifestyle influenced by global trends. In conclusion, globalization is a complex process that brings both opportunities and challenges. While it offers the potential for economic growth andcultural exchange, it also requires careful management to address its negative impacts. Policymakers must work together to ensure that the benefits of globalization are shared equitably, preserving cultural diversity while fostering economic development.中文翻译:全球化是一个在经济、文化和沟通等各个方面转变世界的现象。
2016雅思作文范文
2016雅思作文范文In recent years, the environment has been in a rather sorry state, and it's high time we took some real actions.Let's first look at the air we breathe. You know, in big cities, it's like the air has gone on a really bad diet. It's full of all kinds of pollutants. Every time I step outside in some urban areas, it feels likeI'm inhaling a bunch of tiny, dirty monsters. The smog is so thick that sometimes you can't even see the buildings clearly. And it's not just uncomfortable; it's a serious threat to our health. People are getting more and more respiratory diseases, and it's all because of this lousy air. Then there's the water situation. Rivers and lakes that used to be crystal clear are now murky and stinky. Some industries just dump their waste into the water without a second thought, as if the water is their personal garbage bin. We can't keep doing this. Think about all the poor fish and other water living creatures. They must be feeling like they've moved into a horror house instead of their natural habitats. So, what can we do? Well, the government has to play a big role. They should tighten the regulations on polluting industries. No more letting them get away with murder. They need to impose heavy fines on those who violate environmental laws. And for us common folks, we can start small. For example, we can reduce our use of plastic bags. Every time I see those plastic bags flying around like some sort of unwanted ghosts, it makes me sad. We can use reusable bags instead. Also, recycling should be a no brainer. Instead of just throwing everything into the trash, we should sort out our waste and recycle as much as possible. In conclusion, protecting the environment is not some fancy, far off idea. It's something that affects each and every one of us directly. If we don't act now, our world will become a really unpleasant place to live in. And I don't know about you, but I'd rather not live in a world that looks like a post apocalyptic movie set. So, let's roll up our sleeves and get to work on saving our environment.。

Task:Some people think that in the modern society individuals are becoming more dependent on each other, while others say that individuals are becoming more independent of each other. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.Sample answer:In history, the American philosopher and writer Thoreau proclaimed the importance of self-reliance,because being independent,in his perspective,is an essence of integrated personality. With centuries passing by,the social setting and background have changed but it seems that Thoreau would be disappointed if he found that we are more inextricable close each other. Some people advocate that we less rely on each other than we did in the past. One reason responsible for this is the disintegration of conventional families in most countries in the world. In the past, family members lived under the same roof and they were bound up with some traditional family values such as filial piety and benevolence. It means they would care about each other and sometimes showing unnecessary courtesies is also highly valued. However, the shift in family structure has made the conventional big families into nuclear families, which are made up of two parents and children with much simpler relationship.Another group of people argue that the social members are more closely associated with each other. We are faced with more complicated and daunting work than before for the reason that our society has developed in a full speed. The ever-challenging task can hardly be soundly handled with the individual capability, which means that cooperation will play a pivotal role in whether the task can be accomplished. In this way, individuals are inevitably connected to each other.Personally,I believe that the connection between individual is closer.Modern technology facilities the communication from the global level and we have more chance to build relations with people from all walks of life. The soaring cost of living also makes it hard to live totally on one's own,and dependence on each other is a sensible way for this dilemma. 16年雅思大作文
16年雅思大作文The Changing Face of Education: Adapting to the 21st Century Education, the cornerstone of individual and societal progress, has undergone a dramatic transformation in recent years. Technological advancements, evolving economic landscapes, and shifting social values have reshaped the learning process, demanding a critical examination of traditional pedagogical approaches and a proactive adaptation to the realities of the 21st century. One of the most significant drivers of change in education is the ubiquitous presence of technology. The internet, mobile devices, and interactive learning platforms have democratized access to information, creating a world where knowledge is readily available at our fingertips. This paradigm shift necessitates a move away from rote memorization and towards fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and digital literacy skills. Educators are challenged to integrate technology effectively, utilizing its potential to personalize learning experiences, provide engaging content, and facilitate collaboration beyond geographical boundaries. However, the integration of technology in education is not without its challenges. Concerns about digital equity, the potential for distraction, and the over-reliance on technology at the expense of essential human interaction require careful consideration. Finding the right balance between traditional teaching methodologies and innovative technological tools is crucial to harnessing the power of technology without compromising the core values of education. The rapid evolution of the global economy presents another significant challenge to education systems. The traditional model of acquiring a specific skillset for a lifelong career is becoming increasingly obsolete. The demand for adaptable,multi-skilled individuals capable of navigating a dynamic job market necessitates a shift towards fostering transferable skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. Furthermore, the rise of automation and artificial intelligence underscores the need for lifelong learning, enabling individuals to adapt and upskill throughout their careers to remain relevant and competitive. Beyond the economic imperatives, education must also address the evolving social and ethical landscape of the 21st century. In an increasingly interconnected and multicultural world, fostering global citizenship, intercultural understanding, and empathy is paramount. Educating individuals to be responsible global citizens, capable of critical engagement with complex societal issues and ethical dilemmas, is essential for creating a more sustainable and equitable future. The changing face of education also necessitates a re-evaluation of the traditional roles of teachers and learners. Teachers are no longer the sole gatekeepers of knowledge but rather facilitators, mentors, and co-learners in an interactive learning environment. Students, empowered by access to information and technology, are encouraged to take ownership of their learning, actively engaging in critical thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and self-directed learning. This shift requires nurturing a growth mindset in learners, encouraging them to embrace challenges, learn from mistakes, and develop alifelong love of learning. In conclusion, the 21st century has ushered in an era of unprecedented change in education. Technological advancements, evolving economic realities, and shifting social values necessitate a critical re-evaluation of traditional pedagogical approaches and a proactive adaptation to the demands of our time. Embracing innovation, fostering essential skills, and prioritizing ethical and global citizenship are crucial for shaping an education system that empowers individuals to thrive in the complex and ever-changing landscape of the 21st century.。
雅思剑16t1大作文
雅思剑16t1大作文英文回答:In my opinion, learning a foreign language isdefinitely worth the effort. Not only does it broaden our horizons and provide us with better job opportunities, but it also allows us to communicate with people from different cultures and understand their perspectives.Firstly, learning a foreign language opens up a whole new world of possibilities. It allows us to explore different cultures, traditions, and ways of thinking. For example, when I learned Spanish, I was able to appreciate the beauty of Latin American literature and music, and I even made friends with people from Spanish-speaking countries. This enriched my life and gave me a deeper understanding of the world.Secondly, being bilingual or multilingual can greatly enhance our career prospects. In today's globalized world, many companies are expanding their operations internationally, and they are in need of employees who can communicate effectively with people from different countries. By learning a foreign language, we become more valuable and attractive to employers. For instance, my friend who speaks fluent Mandarin was able to secure ahigh-paying job in a multinational company that operates in China. His language skills gave him a competitive edge over other candidates.Furthermore, learning a foreign language can improve our cognitive abilities. Studies have shown that bilingual individuals have better problem-solving skills, enhanced memory, and increased creativity. This is because learning a second language requires us to think in different ways and adapt to different linguistic structures. For example, when I started learning French, I noticed that my logical thinking and memory improved significantly. This not only helped me in language learning but also in other areas of my life.中文回答:在我看来,学习一门外语绝对是值得的。

2016年11月26日雅思写作考试真题People believe that using mobile phones and computers to communicate. Therefore, people are losing the ability to communicate with each other face to face. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
【1】Now you are benefiting from the use of mobile phone and the Internet as social interaction media, could you imagine what your daily lives would be without these inventions? Some people claim that individuals are gradually losing face-to-face communication skills. Nevertheless, from personal perspective, online communication cannot make people lose the ability of offline communication.Apparently, excessive use of the Internet and mobile phones has been undermining our interpersonal relationship offline. Even during a face-to-face conversation, it is no rare thing that everyone is busy looking at his cell phones, neglecting his friends or families across the dinner table. In addition, it has become incredibly easy to contact each other electronically and share information instantly in social community. Gone are the days when people could only communicate via fixed telephone or writing letters which took several days to reach others. So no one is not crazy about smart phones and computers which boast cutting-edge functions like sharing photos and videos with more friends simultaneously. In spite of the popularity of technological progress mentioned above, never should we turn a blind eye to the irreplaceablity of face-to-face communication. It is common that many schools impart knowledge to students by teaching in classrooms instead of distance education. The same is true of the cooperation among companies, which needs face to face conversation to acquire trust with each other in advance. Furthermore, although online contact may possess increasing numbers of friends, the permanence of mutual relationships cannot lack face-to-face interactions, which can be confirmed bythe example of the closest friends and even loving couples. Besides, solving tricky issues are generally more effective and more convenient by surrounding colleagues or friends then by those who live and work in remote places and need online communication. As far as social interaction is concerned, although the cell phone and the Internet have updated the lives of the current generation. People cannot forget how to make offline communication with each other.雅思范文【2】We live in a world where communication through modern technology such as smart phone and computer is so prevalent that it’s hard to go anywhere without seeing someone texting, emailing, writing blogs and tweeting. Of course the use of technology can be good. It provides us with faster, more efficient ways to communicate with others, but it can also harm our ability to communicate with people face to face.Studies have shown that students who rely so heavily on technology have trouble communicating in person because they don’t quite develop all of the necessary skills to hold or even start a face-to-face conversation. For example, students who are constantly texting with abbreviated forms of words such as “LOL” and “OMG” have begun to speak with the same acro nyms. This form of talking is often seen as flighty and uneducated. Furthermore, in the face to face communication, especially the serious ones, such as interviewing someone, or just meeting someone for the first time, we need to catch the subtle tone in their voice, see their expression as it changes from sad to outraged, and look them in the eye to see if they are trustworthy. Yet most of these skills have been lost to our obsession to thesmart phone and computer. In addition, many of us have formed the habit of using the smart phone even when they are with their friends. The unspoken subtext of checking text messages in front of friends is: “Somewhere else there is someone who I care about more than you. I want to know what they have to say more than what you have to say to me now.” In this way, we are devaluing our current situation, the friends and family around us, our surroundings and setting, for something going on elsewhere. This is certainly a complete disrespect for the people we spend time with in person, which may ruin our relationship with them.In summary, though I believe the smart phone and computer are very useful in speeding up our communication with others, they may prevent us from finding enough time to communicate with real people in person and even worse, they may result in ineffectiveness or even failure in our face-to-face interactions with others.雅思范文【3】When it comes to the issue about the influence brought by the pervasive use of technologies, some people argue that devices like mobile phones and computers do not damage the ability to communicate face to face, but I cannot agree with this opinion. To begin with, the presence of mobile devices and computers trap their users in a virtual world. In the past, the public might be accustomed to having parties together where they could interact with peers. However, social platforms on the Internet allows people, especially the young generation, to talk with anyone they want, because of which individuals may not attend offline activities. Naturally, people will be nervous to converse withothers face to face without regular exercise. In addition, the rise of cellphone and social websites will also dampen the enthusiasm for face-to-face communication. Currently, what do people do when they have a meal together?A lot of people, although they sit closely, attempt to post their pictures online and they hardly talk to people near them. Current technology renders it possible for users to talk to others with great distances, but it is also a double-edge sword since users may prefer to chat online rather than talk directly. But the refuting voice may come from opponents that computers and mobile phones facilitate face-to-face communication with the function of video chat. However, they may ignore some deficiencies of video chat. It is true that people could see each other on the screen, but the fact is that people cannot observe and interpret body language of others. In face-to-face conversation, gestures and emotions could be observed clearly while online communication makes it too difficult to identify the real emotions of a person if s/he intends to hide his/her feeling. In sum, the capacity of face-to-face communication does drop, considering that the obsession with mobile phones and computers not only lowers the frequency of face-to-face communication but also makes people lose passion for talking face to face.【2016年11月26日雅思真题作文范文】。

作文一:We are becoming increasingly dependent on computers. They are used in businesses, hospitals, crime detection and even to fly planes. What things will they be used for in the future? Is this dependence on computers a good thing or should we he more auspicious of their benefits?Model Answer:Computers are a relatively new invention. The first computers were built fifty years ago and it is only in the last thirty or so years that their influence has affected our everyday life. Personal computers were introduced as recently as the early eighties. In this short time they have made a tremendous impact on our lives. We are now so dependent on computers that it is hard to imagine what things would be like today without them. You have only got to go into a bank when their main computer is broken to appreciate the chaos that would occur if computers were suddenly removed world-wide.In the future computers will be used to create bigger and even more sophisticated computers. The prospects for this are quite alarming. They will be so complex that no individual could hope to understand how they work. They will bring a lot ofbenefits but they will also increase the potential for unimaginable chaos. They will, for example, be able to fly planes and they will be able to co ordinate the movements of several planes in the vicinity of an airport. Providing all the computers are working correctly nothing can go wrong. If one small program fails disaster. There is a certain inevitability that technology will progress and become increasingly complex. We should, however, ensure that we are still in a position where we are able to control technology. It will be all too easy to suddenly discover that technology is controlling us. By then it might be too late I believe that it is very important to be suspicious of the benefits that computers will bring and to make sure that we never become totally dependent on a completely technological world.作文二:Task:Maintaining public libraries is a waste of money since computer technology is now replacing their functions. To what extent do you agree or disagree?Sample answer:The advent of computer technology has shaped the landscape of many traditional industries, among which the public library is the one that has been unprecedentedly challenged.Although the concern and worry for fading dominance of library is not unwarranted,I still believe the maintenance of public libraries is necessary.Libraries, though not so easily accessible as the digital books backed by the computer technology, can create an atmosphere which can sooth readers and then make them more concentrate on reading and studying. The piles of books, ranging from literature ones such as novels, poems and proses to the non-literature counterparts such as encyclopedias, history books and so on will give readers a sense of solemn and they are likely to treat reading as a holy baptism stimulating their cognitive development. In comparison, when readers get some information by e-books,they may regard it as a spiritual fast food, thereby absorbing little but to idle away time.Another point for continue to run public libraries is that the functions of libraries is not restricted to do some readings; instead,it is now a multi-functional complex in which the visitors can attend an academic lecture, exchange opinions on some issues with participants in some seminars or receive some professional training and education. This experience can hardly be obtained through some e-books or online courses, which may mainly focus on the presentation of knowledge itself rather than the communication of those who are engaged in it.Of course, cost of the maintenance of public libraries is one point that undermines the predominance of them.In the virtual digital world , cost can be reduced because of less spending on personnel and premises, making the price of some e-books more seductive.Easy access to abundant resources is also magnetic to some readers, especially who need to keep pace with the latest information. In conclusion, public libraries still our attention and effort to maintain its operation,in spite of the rising importance of digital libraries.(309 words)【2016年雅思写作优秀范文】。
