写一篇关于介绍沈阳城市的英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My City - ShenyangHi everyone! My name is Li Ming and I'm 10 years old. I live in a really cool city called Shenyang. It's in the northeast part of China. Today I want to tell you all about my awesome city!Shenyang is the capital of Liaoning Province. It's a really big and important city with over 8 million people living there. But it feels like a friendly place, not too crowded or busy. There are lots of parks, shops, restaurants and fun things to do.The city is pretty old - it used to be called Mukden a long time ago when it was the capital of the Qing Dynasty between 1625 and 1644. You can still see old palace buildings and city walls and gates from that time. The Mukden Palace is a famous historical site that lots of tourists come to visit. But Shenyang isn't just about old stuff! We have modern skyscrapers, shopping malls, and all the latest technology too. My favorite place is Zhongshan Square right in the center of thecity. It's this huge open plaza with fountains, gardens, and a big TV screen that plays music videos. I love going there to run around with my friends.Shenyang has a pretty cool climate. We get four seasons just like a lot of places, but our winters are crazy cold! The temperature can drop to -40°C which is really, really freezing. Everything gets covered in ice and snow. But I actually like winter because it means I can go sledding, have snowball fights, and go ice skating on frozen lakes and rivers. Summers aren't too hot either, just warm and pleasant. There are loads of yummy foods you can try in Shenyang. We're famous for our dumplings and noodles. My favorite food is jianbing which is kind of like a crepe or burrito with an egg cooked right into the thin bread wrapper, along with sauces, vegetables and meat. So delicious! Shenyang candies like zhenzhutang (pearl candy) and guobatang (sizzling candy) are popular snacks too.Shenyang has a bunch of fun activities and places for kids. My favorite is Shenyang Botanical Garden, which is a huge park filled with thousands of different plant species, gardens, a petting zoo, playgrounds, and an amusement park inside wit篇2My Awesome City - Shenyang!Hi everyone! My name is Xiao Ming and I'm going to tell you about the super cool city where I live - Shenyang! It's the biggest city in Northeast China and the capital of Liaoning Province. Get ready to learn some really fun facts about this amazing place!First of all, Shenyang has a long and interesting history. It used to be called Mukden and was the capital of the Qing Dynasty for a long time. That means it was the home of emperors and their families for over 200 years! You can still see lots of old palaces, temples, and walls from that era. The Imperial Palace is huge and has over 300 rooms. I went there on a school trip and it felt like stepping back in time. So cool! But Shenyang isn't just about history, it's also a modern, bustling city. The skyline is full of tall skyscrapers and bright lights. At night, the city looks like a sparkling jewel from far away. My favorite skyscraper is the Shenyang International Financial Center. It's 384 meters tall and has 69 floors! I get dizzy just thinking about how high up it is.One of the best things about living in Shenyang is the food. We have so many delicious local dishes that you can't findanywhere else. My top three favorites are luzhouhuoshao (smoky BBQ), errentou (Two Ears, which is a tasty dumpling), and Sahler's baked goods. The pastries from Sahler's are out of this world –their mocha rolls and egg tarts melt in your mouth. Yum!Shenyang has tons of fun places to visit too. The Shenyang Botanical Garden is like a magical forest with thousands of different plants and flowers. They even have pandas there! Isn't that amazing? I also love going to Beiling Park. It's a huge park right in the middle of the city with lakes, gardens, and lots of space to run around and play.In the winter, Shenyang turns into a winter wonderland. The whole city is blanketed in fluffy white snow and it's perfect for having snowball fights or going sledding. The snow sculptures they make are unbelievable – last year they carved a life-size terracotta warrior out of ice! Brrr, I need to put on my hat and mittens just thinking about how cold it gets. But what I love most about Shenyang is the people. We have residents from all over China and the world living here. Everyone is so friendly and there's a really strong community spirit. During holidays like Chinese New Year, the streets are filled with the sounds of firecrackers, dragon dances, and delicious smells from street food stalls. It's a total party!Shenyang may not be as famous as Beijing or Shanghai, but in my humble opinion, it's one of the greatest cities on Earth. It has a rich culture, amazing food, and so much to see and do. I feel super lucky to call this place my home. If you ever get a chance to visit, you'll see why I love my awesome city of Shenyang so much!篇3My Awesome City - Shenyang!Hi everyone! My name is Li Ming and I'm 10 years old. I was born in the coolest city ever - Shenyang! It's the biggest city in my home province of Liaoning in northeast China. I love Shenyang so much and I'm going to tell you all about it!Shenyang has been an important city for a really really long time. Way back in 1625, it used to be the capital of the Qing Dynasty which ruled all of China for almost 300 years! Because of that, we have lots of amazing historical places and palaces from that era like the Mukden Palace and Zhaoling Tomb. My favourite is the Shenyang Imperial Palace which is just ginormous - it has 300 rooms and took 12 whole years to build!Even though Shenyang is an old city with tons of history, it's also a very modern and busy place today. Millions of people livehere and there are awesome skyscrapers, massive shopping malls, fun theme parks and so much more. One of the coolest places is the Shenyang City Sculpture Museum which has humongous abstract metal sculptures all over the grounds - they're so tall I have to bend my neck all the way back to see the tops!Something I really love about Shenyang is how green it is. There are parks and gardens all over the city like the Shenyang Botanical Garden which has flowers and plants from all over the world. My favourite is Zhongshan Square which is this massive park right in the middle of downtown with a big fountain, lakes, and beautiful gardens. In the summer they have awesome events there like concerts and fireworks shows. And the food here is just the yummiest! Shenyang is famous for its delicious snacks and dishes. Some of my favourites are candied hawthorn berries, deer meat sausages, and sesame pancake rolls. Whenever my grandma comes to visit, she always brings me tons of amazing Shenyang food. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!Of course, winters in Shenyang are freeeeezing cold. It's not unusual for temperatures to get down to -20°C or even colder! Everything is covered in thick snow and ice. But you know what? That's totally fine because we have the most epic winter fun. My favourite is going sledding at the huge sledding parks they setup everywhere. There's nothing better than zooming down those long snowy hills!Shenyang also has the coolest New Year's celebrations for Chinese New Year. Every year there is a massive festival with incredible fireworks shows, delicious festival foods, dragon dances, traditional operas and so much more. One year, they even had real-life pandas there! Lunar New Year is my favourite time of year.I could go on forever about how awesome Shenyang is, but I've already written so much! Let me just end by saying that whether you're exploring its incredible history, enjoying the modern amenities, playing in the parks, trying the yummy food, or joining the amazing New Year's festivities, Shenyang simply has it all. Today I want to tell you all about my awesome hometown - Shenyang. It's a really big and cool city in the northeast part of China. Get ready to learn some fun facts!Shenyang has been around for a very long time. It used to be called Mukden when it was the capital of the ancient Qing Dynasty way back in the 1600s. The old imperial palace there is called the Mukden Palace and it's beautiful with yellow glazed tiles. I've been there on a field trip before and it felt like stepping back in time! The palace has 300 rooms and took 13 years to build using special architecture from that era.But Shenyang isn't just an old historic place. It's actually a really modern city too with lots of tall skyscrapers and bright lights at night. The skyscrapers kind of make the city look like a giant robot from far away! My favorite is the Shenyang City Landmark Tower which has 58 floors and a cool twisting shape. At night, colorful lights make it glow. I can see it from my bedroom window.Shenyang has a pretty cold climate since it's up north, kinda near Russia. In the winters we usually get tons of snow and the temps can drop to -20°C! Everything is covered in white and it's perfect for having epic snowball fights with my friends. We have to bundle up in lots of layers with big puffy coats, scarves, andboots. I like drinking hot chocolate to stay warm inside. But the summers are nice too - not too crazy hot, just warm enough to play outside. For transportation, Shenyang has a great subway system to get around quickly underground. The subway cars are smooth and fast and there are lines that go all over the city. I feel like a grown up riding all by myself sometimes! There are also tons of public buses that are cheap if you need to go somewhere the subway doesn't reach. And of course, lots of people drive cars or ride motorcycles and bicycles too on the roads and special bike lanes. You definitely can't miss eating the signature foods when you visit Shenyang! My favorite dish is lao bian dou, which are boiled and seasoned broad beans. They sell bags of them on the street from carts and they're so tasty and addicting - I can eat a whole bag by myself! Another must-try is the fried Shenyang pancakes that are crispy on the outside and stuffed with pork, veggies, and sauces inside. You can also find lots of great Mongolian-style barbecue spots. As for fun things to do, Shenyang has awesome parks and museums I love going to. The Shenyang Botanical Garden feels like a jungle with plants from all over the world in theirgreenhouses. It has an amazing bonsai tree area too with miniature trees that are hundreds of years old! My top museum is probably the Shenyang Science & Technology Museum because it's so hands-on and interactive. You can do experiments, learn about space and dinosaurs, and they even have an underwater world section. On weekends, my family sometimes goes to Zhongshan Square which is this big open plaza downtown. There are always street performers and festival events happening there. One time we saw Chinese dragon dances and martial arts shows which were so awesome! The square also has fountains that kids can run through when it's hot out.I hope you can visit Shenyang sometime because it really is such a great place to explore! Between the amazing food, cool buildings, fun activities and parks, and mix of old & new, there's something for everyone. I feel so lucky to call Shenyang my home. Let me know if you have any other questions!篇5My Awesome Hometown - Shenyang!Hi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm a 4th grader from the super cool city of Shenyang in China. Today I'm gonna tell you allabout my amazing hometown. Get ready to learn some really neat stuff!Shenyang is the capital city of the Liaoning Province in northeast China. It's a massively huge city with over 8 million people living there! Can you imagine that many people in one place? My mind gets dizzy just thinking about it.The history of Shenyang goes way way back, over 700 years! It used to be the capital of the Qing Dynasty which ruled China for almost 300 years from the 1600s to the 1900s. Because of that incredible history, Shenyang has some unbelievably awesome ancient sites and landmarks left over from those olden times. One of the coolest places is the Mukden Palace, also called the Shenyang Imperial Palace. It's this gigantic palace complex that used to be where the Qing emperors lived and ruled from. Walking through the palace grounds is like stepping back in time to hundreds of years ago when emperors and royal families lived there. There are temples, gardens, throne rooms and so much more. My favorite is the huge Portuguese-style royal garden - it has trees, ponds, pavilions and winding paths. I love exploring all the nooks and crannies!Another crazy place from the Qing era is the Zhaoling Tomb. This is where some of the Qing Dynasty emperors and their families are buried in these enormous underground tomb chambers. The architecture and carvings are breathtaking. I get chills every time I visit and imagine the ancient royal processions that took place there.Of course, Shenyang has tons of incredible stuff from modern times too. It's a major industrial hub of China, producing aviation equipment, machinery, cars, electronics and all kinds of manufactured goods. Shenyang is loaded with factories and plants. Some of the biggest companies headquartered there are Brilliance Auto, Neusoft and Siasun.Because Shenyang is such an important business and industrial center, it has a super energetic urban downtown area packed with skyscrapers, shopping malls, restaurants and nightlife. My favorite place to hang out is the Zhongjie Pedestrian Street - it's this long stretch filled with shops, street food vendors and people everywhere. I love grabbing some jian'r, which are these crispy fried meat pockets that are a Shenyang specialty. Soooo delicious! For fun, my family loves spending time at the Shenyang Forest Wildlife Park. It's this sprawling zoo and park area withgardens, a small amusement park, and exhibits with pandas, tigers, bears, monkeys and other cool animals. We'll spend an entire day wandering around checking everything out. Petting the cute panda cubs is the absolute best!In the winter, Shenyang gets absolutely freezing with crazy blizzards and sub-zero temperatures. But the snow makes everything look like a magical winter wonderland! The best part is going ice skating on the frozen lakes and rivers. I'm a pretty skilled skater if I do say so myself. Sometimes the ice gets so thick that you can drive cars out onto the lakes - how wild is that?!Shenyang also has some awesome yearly events and festivals. The biggest is probably the Shenyang International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival held every January. Sculptors from all over the world come to carve enormous, mind-blowing statues and scenes entirely out of ice and snow. Last year's Dragon Palace sculpture spanned over 10,000 square feet! I was totally awestruck.Well, that's my city of Shenyang in a nutshell! It's such an amazing place with a fascinating mix of ancient imperial history and cutting-edge modern development. The culture, food and activities are second to none. If you ever get a chance to visitShenyang, you absolutely have to come see it for yourself. Just don't forget to pack a warm jacket in the winter!篇6My Awesome City - Shenyang!Hi everyone! My name is Xiaoming and I'm going to tell you all about the super cool city where I live - Shenyang! It's the biggest city in Northeast China and the capital of Liaoning Province. Get ready to learn some awesome facts about my hometown!First of all, Shenyang is an ancient city with a really long history going back over 2,300 years! It used to be called Shenzhou and was the capital of two powerful dynasties - the Liao Dynasty from 938 AD to 1125 AD and the Qing Dynasty from 1625 AD to 1644 AD. That's why we have so many incredible historical sites like the Mukden Palace, Zhaoling Tomb, and Beiling Park. The Mukden Palace is this gigantic royal palace from the Qing Dynasty that has over 300 rooms! I went there on a school field trip and it was breathtaking.Another crazy cool thing about Shenyang is that it used to be one of the biggest industrial cities in China, producing tons of machinery, weapons, trucks, and airplanes. My grandpa evenworked in a factory here when he was young! These days, Shenyang is becoming more modern with tons of skyscrapers, shopping malls, universities, and cool new businesses like tech companies. But there are still some old factories too which is pretty neat.Shenyang has a pretty intense climate which I think is really fun. Our summers are hot and humid but our winters are freezing cold with tons of snow! Last year we had the biggest snowstorm in ages and I got to go sledding basically right outside my apartment building. When there's heavy snow, the whole city looks like a winter wonderland. It's magical! Just gotta remember to bundle up super warm.Food is another awesome part of living in Shenyang. We have so many delicious local dishes like half-smoke chicken, baked rolled pancakes, and cat-ear noodles. My absolute favorite though is baked smoke chicken - it's chicken that gets cooked by being hung over smoking fires which makes the meat sooooo tender and smoky flavored. Yum! For snacks, I love eating the local fried dough twists, peanuts, and tanghulu (those yummy candied fruit skewers). My mouth is watering just thinking about it all!As for fun stuff to do, Shenyang has a ton of great parks, museums, temples, and activities. My favorite park is Qingchuan Park which has a huge lake for boating plus gardens, playgrounds, and even a little amusement park area. The Shenyang Arboretum is another awesome green space with plants and flowers from all over the world. If it's rainy or cold, I love going to the Shenyang Science World which is this gigantic museum full of super cool science exhibits and an awesome digital planetarium. For holidays and celebrations, Shenyang always goes all out. My favorite is the Lunar New Year when the entire city gets decorated with traditional red lanterns, dragon dances, fireworks, and special markets selling Holiday foods and goods. I also love attending the city's annual Ice and Snow Festival each winter where they build these unbelievable giant ice sculptures that light up at night! So as you can see, Shenyang is a lively, historical, and culture-filled city that I feel so lucky to call home. It has a little bit of everything - from imperial palaces to towering modern skyscrapers, freezing winters to sizzling summers, mouthwatering local cuisine to amazing museums and parks. I'm proud to be a Shenyang kid and I hope you'll consider visitingmy vibrant and exciting city someday! Thanks for reading my essay, and let me know if you have any other questions!。

Shenyang is a really big city in the northeast part of China. It's the capital of Liaoning Province and has been an important place for a long, long time.Shenyang has a cool history. A long time ago, it used to be called Mukden. It was the capital of the Qing Dynasty which ruled China for almost 300 years from 1644 to 1912. The emperors and their families lived in a huge palace here called the Mukden Palace. Parts of the old palace are still around today as the Shenyang Imperial Palace. I've been there on a field trip and it's amazing! There are lots of fun things to see and do in Shenyang. One of my favorite places is Zhongshan Square right in the center of the city. It's a big open area with gardens, fountains, and sculptures. I love running around and playing there. At night, they have beautiful lights and music shows. If you come to Shenyang, you have to go to Shenyang Botanical Garden too. It has the biggest greenhouse I've ever seen full of awesome plants, trees, and flowers from all over the world. Outside they have trails you can walk on and see pandas, deer, and other cool animals. My class went on a field trip there last year and it was the best!Shenyang has some of the yummiest food ever. My favorite is luzhi jiaozi which are tiny dumplings filled with pork and veggies. They are boiled and then dipped in a vinegar sauce. Soooo delicious! Another Shenyang food I love is baozihua which are little fried pancakes made from corn flour. The best ones have a crispy outside and warm, soft inside. You eat them with brown sugar syrup drizzled on top. I could eat them all day! There are two foods Shenyang is most famous for though. The first is Shenyang burwa which are thin shreds of pork belly that are braised and cooked for a long time until they are crispy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth tender inside. They are flavored with soy sauce, wine, and spices. So yummy with a bowl of rice! The other iconic food from Shenyang is laohuagan or "tiger sauce." It's a super spicy sauce made from fermented soy beans, garlic, chili peppers, and other spices. It's brick red colored andhas a kick that will make your tongue feel like it's on fire! My dad loves putting it on everything but it's too hot for me. Maybe when I'm older I can handle the heat.Shenyang is known as one of the best places in China for Korean food too because we have a big Korean community here. My favorite Korean dishes are jumeokbap which is rice with shredded seaweed, Korean fried chicken, and jjajangmyeon which are thick noodles in a black bean sauce. So tasty! There are fun events and festivals in Shenyang throughout the year too. Every August we have the Shenyang International Fireworks Festival where fireworks teams from all over the world put on amazing fireworks shows for an entire week. The whole city lights up with colorful explosions in the sky. It's really beautiful. In the winter, the Shenyang International Ice and Snow Festival is huge. They build enormous ice sculptures all over the city parks and have ice slides, mazes, and playgrounds. One year they even made a full-size ice replica of the Forbidden City palace in Beijing! My friends and I spend hours running around and playing in the snow and ice.I hope you can come visit Shenyang one day. Between the historic sights, beautiful parks and gardens, awesome food, andfun events, there is so much to see and do here. Shenyang is a wonderful place to live and I'm lucky to call it my home city. Thanks for reading and xie xie (that means "thank you" in Chinese)!篇2Shenyang is a Big City in ChinaHi friends! My name is Little Wang and I am going to tell you all about the cool city of Shenyang where I live. Shenyang is a really big city in the northeast part of China. It has over 8 million people living here! That's a lot of people. In Shenyang, we have to study English at school. English is an important language to learn because people all over the world speak it. That way we can make friends from different countries and learn about their cultures too.For English class, we have to write compositions every week.A composition is like a short essay or story. Writing compositions helps us practice using English grammar and vocabulary words. It's not always easy, but I'm getting better at it!My teacher says the key to a good English composition is to have a clear topic sentence that tells what the main idea is. Thenyou need a few supporting sentences with details and examples. Finally, you wrap it up with a good conclusion sentence. Some topics my teacher gives us for compositions are:Describe your favorite holidayWhat do you want to be when you grow up?Tell about an experience you hadIntroduce your family membersI'll share a composition I wrote about my favorite game:"My Favorite Game is Badminton""My favorite game is badminton. Badminton is a racket sport played on a court with a net in the middle. The object is to hit a shuttlecock back and forth over the net. A shuttlecock is a projectile with feathers on one end. You try to win points by making your opponent miss hitting it back before it bounces twice on their side. I enjoy badminton because it is fast-paced and fun. The rallies where you keep hitting it back and forth are very exciting. Badminton is also good exercise because you have to run back and forth a lot. That is why badminton is my favorite game to play."Doesn't that make you want to go play badminton too? Writing compositions helps me express myself better in English.Awesome Shenyang FoodAnother cool thing about Shenyang is the delicious food here! A few of my favorite Shenyang dishes are:Lao Bing - This is a super yummy type of flatbread made from wheat flour. They cook it in a special oven with layers of crispy sesame bread stuck together. You pull it apart and dip the layers in a savory sauce. So tasty!Burdalucky - This funny name is how you say "braised chicken" in my city's dialect. It's chicken braised in a sauce with potatoes, carrots and mushrooms. It's a classic homestyle comfort food.Suan Cai Lao Mian - These are thick, chewy noodles mixed with lots of vinegary pickled veggies. The sour and salty flavors blend so nicely. My mouth waters just thinking about it!Aren't you hungry yet? Trust me, the food in Shenyang is incredible. It makes me one happy and full kid!Awesome Shenyang AttractionsWith a huge city like Shenyang, you know there have to be tons of fun places to visit too. Here are some of my favorite attractions:Shenyang Imperial Palace - This palace used to be home to the earliest Qing Dynasty rulers before they moved the capital to Beijing. It has amazing architecture with royal yellow glazed tiles. You can see the living quarters, gardens, temples and even the arena for palace entertainment troupes. So cool to imagine what life was like for the emperor and his family!Zhonghua Road - This is the oldest shopping street in Shenyang dating back over 300 years. It's lined with little stores selling snacks, crafts, antiques and more. At night they turn on these gorgeous red lantern lights. It's a magical place for browsing and people watching.Shenyang Botanical Garden - This garden has like a zillion different flowers, trees and plants from all over the world. It feels like you enter a new land when you walk through each themed area whether it's tropical rainforest, dry desert or bamboo forest. Don't miss the big greenhouse conservatories either!Aren't those awesome attractions to visit in Shenyang? Our city has such a rich culture and history. I'm proud to call Shenyang my hometown! Thanks for letting me tell you all about my city, its English lessons, yummy foods and fun tourist spots. If you ever visit Shenyang, I'd be happy to show you around as your tour guide! Studying and writing in English helps me share my world with new friends like you. Goodbye for now!篇3My Awesome City - Shenyang!Hi everyone! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I live in the super cool city of Shenyang in China. Today I'm going to tell you all about my favorite things in Shenyang - the yummy foods, the fun places to visit, and why writing English compositions here is awesome!First, let me tell you about the amazing foods we have in Shenyang. My number one favorite is liang pi - it's kind of like thick chewy noodles with a really yummy sauce made from vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, and other delicious spices. The noodles are so long that you have to slurp them up! Another Shenyang specialty I love is bao dun fan - it's a big bowl of rice with all sorts of tasty things on top like beef, eggs, vegetables, and sauce. Yum!For snacks, I go crazy for the skewers we call chuan'r. They're little pieces of lamb, beef, or chicken that get barbecued with cumin, chili peppers, and other spices until they're crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Sometimes my parents take me to Muslim Quarter where there are lots of chuan'r stands. I can smell the amazing aromas a mile away!Speaking of Muslim Quarter, that's one of the coolest areas to explore in Shenyang. It's this old neighborhood with narrow streets lined with little shops and restaurants. You can find all kinds of stuff there - souvenirs, clothes, lamps, baskets, and more!I love walking around taking in all the sights and sounds.Another awesome place is Shenyang Imperial Palace. It used to be where the emperors lived a long time ago. The palace buildings are so pretty and grand with their yellow glazed tile roofs. My favorite part is the Imperial Garden with its ponds, bridges, and pagodas. It's like stepping back in time to ancient China! For a taste of modern Shenyang, you have to go see the giant Ferris wheel and roller coasters at Shenyang City Square. The Ferris wheel is so tall that you can see the whole city skyline when you ride it. I've been on the upside-down roller coaster a couple times - it's simultaneously terrifying and exhilarating! Now I want to tell you why I think doing English compositions in Shenyang is the best. My English teacher Ms. Wang is really cool and encouraging. She's always telling us to write about our lives and things we're passionate about. Since Shenyang has so much delicious food, fun attractions, and fascinating history and culture, there's no shortage of awesome topics to write about!Last year, I wrote a composition about the Shenyang Imperial Palace and another about the different kinds of noodles we eat here. Ms. Wang really liked them and said my descriptions made her feel like she was there. Just a few weeks ago, I wrote about going to the top of the Ferris wheel and how scared but excited I felt. I tried to use really vivid adjectives to paint a picture in the reader's mind.I think writing English compositions is important because it helps me practice expressing myself clearly. It also allows me to share my love for my city and all its food, culture, and history with people around the world. Who knows, maybe writing about Shenyang will inspire some people to come visit!Well, that's my take on the incredible city of Shenyang. Between the scrumptious foods like liang pi and chuan'r, the cool attractions like Muslim Quarter and the Imperial Palace, and theopportunity to write engaging English compositions about it all, what's not to love? If you ever get a chance to visit Shenyang, you have to let me know so I can show you around!篇4My City ShenyangHi! My name is Xiaoming and I live in Shenyang. It is a big city in the northeast part of China. I love my city and I want to tell you all about it!Shenyang is famous for many things. One really cool thing about Shenyang is that we have a great tradition of English writing. Every year, there is an English writing competition called the "Shenyang English Writing Competition" for students like me. We have to write a short essay or story in English. The best ones get prizes and are published in a book! Isn't that neat?Last year, I entered the competition. The topic was "My Favorite Season." I wrote all about spring because I love when the flowers bloom and it gets warm enough to play outside after the cold winter. Writing in English is hard, but my teacher Ms. Wang helps me a lot. She always says "Practice makes perfect!" I didn't win last year, but I tried my best. This year, I am going to enter again. Maybe you can try writing in English too!Another awesome thing about Shenyang is the yummy food. We have so many delicious dishes and snacks. My number one favorite is jianbing guozi. It's kind of like a crispy crepe wrapped around scrambled eggs, sauce, and crunchy wonton crackers. You can get it from street vendors in the morning. It is so good! I like to dip it in the soy sauce and vinegar mixture they give you.Another tasty Shenyang food is baibao. They are cute little vegetable dumplings that look like little buns. You peel off the dough wrapping and dip the veggie filling in vinegar. Yum! My grandma makes the best baibao. Sometimes she lets me help her fold the dough around the filling. For sweets, Shenyang has delicious fried dough twists called youxuan. They look like long twisted ropes and are coated in sugar or honey. You can get them from street vendors or shops. They are crispy and sweet and just melt in your mouth! Whenever my parents take me to the big park, I always beg for a youxuan. There are lots of fun places to go in Shenyang too. One of my favorite spots is Zhongshan Square. It's a huge open area in the center of the city with gardens, fountains, and a big hilltop pavilion. On holidays, they have carnival games, performers, andvendors selling snacks and toys. My friends and I love to rent those four-wheeled pedal bikes and ride around the square!Another cool place is Shenyang Imperial Palace, also called the Mukden Palace. It's an ancient palace complex that used to be home to Qing dynasty emperors before they moved the capital to Beijing. You can see the grand halls, temples, and even the living quarters where the emperors and empresses lived. My class went on a field trip there last year. I thought the best part was the imperial gardens with the pretty pavilions, ponds, and rock mazes. The best place for kids is Shenyang Children's World park. It's a massive park with loads of rides, playgrounds, and attractions just for children. They have roller coasters, train rides, bouncy castles, climbing areas and more. You could probably spend a whole week there and still not do everything! Every time I go, I beg my parents to let me ride the spinning UFO rocket ride again and again. There's so much more I could tell you about Shenyang, like Beiling Park with its beautiful willows and gardens, or the awesome science and technology museums. But I'm running out of space to write. Maybe next time you can come visit myamazing city yourself! Just be sure to try the jianbing guozi and youxuan. You'll love the food here!篇5Shenyang is the Cool Capital City of Liaoning Province!Hey friends! Today I want to tell you all about my awesome hometown, Shenyang. It's the capital of Liaoning Province in northeast China. Shenyang is a really big and important city with over 8 million people living there. But don't worry, I'll be your tour guide and show you all the best parts!First up, let me tell you about English compositions in my school. We have a special class just for writing English essays and stories. It's one of my favorite classes! Our teacher says writing compositions helps us practice using English grammar and vocabulary correctly. We learn special techniques like using interesting descriptive words and organizing our ideas into paragraphs. Sometimes we even get to be creative and write fun stories or poems. Writing compositions in English for 60 words is pretty easy, but I prefer when we get to write longer 200 or 300 word ones. Anyway, enough about English class...let me tell you why Shenyang is so awesome!Shenyang has been an important city for a really, really long time. Way back in the 1600s, it was the capital of the Qing Dynasty. You can still see amazing historical sites and palaces from that era all over Shenyang. The Mukden Palace is my favorite - it's this gigantic royal complex with ornate buildings, gardens, and even a park. I went on a school field trip there and it felt like stepping back in time to when emperors lived there. So cool!Another landmark from ancient times is the Zhaoling Tomb. This is where one of the Qing Dynasty emperors is buried along with his wife and other important nobles. The tomb mounds are huge, like small hills covered in trees and grass. Inside the tombs, you can see all sorts of relics and treasures that were buried with the emperor. My mom says walking through the dim, underground tomb passages gives her the creeps...but I think it's an adventure! For a taste of modern Shenyang, you have to go see the big Shenyang Olympic Sports Center Stadium. It hosted some events for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and now it's where the local soccer and athletics teams play. The stadium looks so futuristic with its sleek design and gigantic arched roof. I've been to a few soccer matches there and the atmosphere is electric with all thecheering fans. Simple games like soccer are so much more exciting when played in an enormous Olympic-level arena!Of course, no city is complete without delicious food! Shenyang has plenty of diverse cuisine since it's such a melting pot of ethnic groups like Han Chinese, Manchus, Mongols, and more. One really iconic Shenyang dish is lǎo-èrtu which is a type of mega-stuffed bun. The dough gets rolled out into a huge round wrapper, then it's packed full of all sorts of yummy fillings like pork, vegetables, beef, and more. Just one lao-ertu is enough to fill me up for hours! They can be eaten any time of day too - breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack...whenever!Another well-known Shenyang meal is ji'r, which means "chicken broth and meat." It's basically a hearty chickensoup/stew with potatoes, peppers, and other veggies floating in a rich, flavored broth. On cold winter days, nothing hits the spot like a piping hot bowl of ji'r. You dip the tender chicken pieces and fresh noodles right into the savory soup - so comforting and delicious! While we're on the topic of food...Shenyang is famous for its night markets too! Personally, I prefer the Xita Street Night Market in the Muslim district. As soon as you arrive, your nose is overwhelmed by the most mouthwatering blend of grilled meat, fried dough, spices, and other tasty aromas. My favorite street snacks are crunchy lamb kebabs fresh off the sizzling grill, sticky rice cakes coated in brown sugar syrup, and crispy friedflower-shaped dough fritters. I have to stop myself from spending all my allowance money whenever I go!You know what else is awesome about Shenyang? The shopping! My mom loves taking me to the Taiyuan Street Shopping District. It's the oldest and biggest shopping area downtown with a whole network of interconnected alleys and corridors. We'll spend hours browsing all the stores selling things like traditional handicrafts, antiques, jewelry, snacks, clothes, trinkets...you name it! Even if you don't actually buy anything, it's fun just walking around taking in all the sights, sounds and smells. Sometimes we'll stop for a foot massage too after all that walking.Okay, I could keep going on and on, but I'm running out of words here! There's just so much cool stuff to do and see in Shenyang. From historical sites to modern stadiums, delicious street food to amazing shopping...my city has it all. I feel so lucky to live here. If you ever get a chance to visit Shenyang, you have to let me know so I can show you around myself! I'll introduceyou to my favorite lao-ertu lady and everything. Shenyang is the best!篇6Shenyang is a Really Cool City!Hi friends! My name is Lucy and I'm going to tell you all about the awesome city of Shenyang in northeast China. Shenyang is the biggest city in my home province of Liaoning. It's an ancient place with over 2,300 years of history, but it's also very modern with tall skyscrapers and lots of fun things to do. Let me share some of my favorite parts about Shenyang!First, let me tell you about writing English essays, which we have to do in school sometimes. An English essay is like a little story or book that you write in English class, usually between 50-100 words long. Our teacher gives us a topic, and we have to write a few paragraphs about it using good English vocabulary and grammar. It's fun because we get to be creative writers! One time I wrote an essay about my summer vacation. Another time the topic was my favorite food. English essays help make our English better. Now let's talk about the yummy food in Shenyang! My absolute favorite Shenyang food is luzhi fried dough twist. It's along, spiral-shaped bread that is crispy on the outside and soft and doughy inside. The best part is dipping it in sweet soybean paste - mmm, so delicious! You can find luzhi at street food stalls all over the city.Another must-try food is Shenyang sanzhenzhu, which means "three bulbs." It's a super flavorful hotpot with glass noodles, potatoes, and lotus root. I like putting lots of chili oil and vinegar on mine to make it extra spicy and sour. You'll find sanzhenzhu restaurants everywhere. For dessert, I love tangguan, which are little sticky rice balls filled with sweet fillings like black sesame, red bean, or peanut. They are so warm, chewy and yummy, especially in the winter. My grandma makes the best tangguan!Shenyang is heaven for food lovers. After you've stuffed yourself, you'll want to walk around and see the incredible historical sites and tourist attractions. Let me describe some of the coolest places:The Imperial Palace is one of the top spots. This was the home and office for the early Qing dynasty emperors before they moved the capital to Beijing. You can tour the incredible palace buildings with gorgeous architecture, gardens, and museums fullof Qing treasures. I love dressing up in ancient costumes and pretending to be an emperor or empress there!Right next to the palace is Shenhe Gu Cheng, which means "Old Imperial City." This walled area has lots of traditions from long ago, like rickshaw rides, calligraphy shows, and little shops selling arts and crafts. You feel like you've traveled back to China's past when you walk around the old stone roads and gates. It's amazing! For nature, Shenyang has Qingchengshan Park, a huge forest park on a scenic mountain. There are hiking trails, waterfalls, temples, and cable cars over the trees. In autumn, the leaves turn bright red, yellow and orange - so pretty! I go there a lot with my family to get fresh air and appreciate the beautiful scenery.Speaking of scenery, you can't miss Shenyang's modern architecture too. The brand new LT Metrotown is one of the coolest mall and office districts I've ever seen. It has twisty, futuristic skyscrapers covered in sparkling colored glass and lights. At night it looks like a fairy tale castle! You can go ice skating, shopping, or just gaze at the dazzling lights. As you can tell, Shenyang has something for everyone - whether you're into culture, nature, food or just having fun. I feelso lucky to be growing up in such an incredible city that combines new and old so well. If you ever visit northeast China, you have to come to Shenyang and experience it for yourself. I know you'll love it as much as I do! Let me know if you need any other Shenyang tips.。

This is where one of the Qing Dynasty emperors and his empresses are buried. The tomb has these giant stone sculpturesof animals, officials, and warriors guarding the entrance. There are sprawling grounds with pavilions, bridges over ponds, and seemingly endless walking paths through the woods. In the winter, Shenyang gets super freezing cold and covered in snow. But that's when the fun really starts! There are huge snow sculpture competitions where artists carve gigantic, detailed sculptures out of compacted snow. And at New Year's, there are awesome fireworks displays and festival celebrations with dragon dances and firecrackers. As you can probably tell by now, I absolutely LOVE my city of Shenyang! It has a super long history dating back over 2,300 years to the Warring States period. Over the centuries, Shenyang has been home to many different kingdoms, empires, and dynasties. Because of this rich heritage, my city has a ton of incredible historical sites and culture. One of the top attractions here is the Mukden Palace, also known as the Shenyang Imperial Palace. It used to be the home of the early Manchu rulers before they conquered the rest of China and established the Qing Dynasty in Beijing. The palace complex is absolutely massive with over 300 buildings painted in bright yellow and red colors. My favorite part is the elaborate imperial gardens with beautiful pavilions, bridges, and ponds. Taking a stroll through the palace grounds makes me feel like a little prince!Another famous landmark in Shenyang is Zhonghua Road, one of the oldest and busiest commercial streets. The fresh jianbing stuffed with egg, vegetables and sauce is so delicious!Shenyang is also known for its delicious cuisine, especially barbecue, dumplings, and noodles. My favorite local dish is lao bian dou fu, which is firm tofu stuffed with vegetables and doused in a savory sauce. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Many of China's most popular fast food chains like Kungfu and Shuanghui were also founded in Shenyang. In addition to its historical sites and yummy food, Shenyang has a lot of fun places for kids like me to visit. In winter, we often get heavy snowfall that blankets the whole city in white. My friends and Ilove going sledding, having snowball fights, and building snow forts and snowmen. Isn't winter the best? One of the coolest things about Shenyang is that it hosted the 2019 World Masterminds Competition, an international competition for highly gifted students. Thanks for reading!篇3Shenyang, the Cool City in Northeast ChinaHi there! My name is Xiao Ming and I'm a 10-year-old boy from Shenyang, a really cool city in the northeast part of China. Today I want to tell you all about my hometown and why I think it's such an awesome place.First of all, Shenyang has a very long and fascinating history. It used to be called Mukden and was the capital of the Qing Dynasty, which ruled China for almost 300 years from 1644 to 1912. There are lots of amazing historical sites here like the Mukden Palace, which was where the emperors lived. It's this huge complex of temples, gardens, and buildings painted yellow and red. Walking through it makes me feel like I've traveled back in time!Another really neat place is the Zhaoling Tomb, where one of the Qing emperors and his empresses are buried. The underground tomb is so big and there are all these tiny detailed carvings on the stone walls. It's kind of spooky but in a cool way.I also love checking out all the old city gates that were part of Shenyang's giant defensive wall back in the day.But Shenyang isn't just about history - it's a totally modern city too. The tower in the center is 305 meters tall, which is taller than an 80-story building! It has a revolving restaurant at the top where you can look out over the whole city while you eat. I went there for my birthday last year and it was the best view ever.Speaking of food, Shenyang has some of the most delicious dishes in China. We're famous for our barbecue, especially kebabs made from lamb. My favorite is the mutton soup withhandmade noodles - it's so warm and comforting, especially in the freezing winters we get here in the northeast. For dessert you have to try the super sticky, sweet fried dough twists. I can never get enough of those! One thing that makes my city unique is the amazing folk arts and traditions that are still kept alive here. On every holiday, the streets are filled with the sounds of gong-beating and drum performances. Artists make these crazy detailed wood carvings and clay figurines too. But my favorite is the Yangge folk dance where the dancers wave bright colored bamboo stems and ribbons around. It's so lively and vibrant! We also have lots of fun events throughout the year. The International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival is probably the most famous. Sculptors come from all over the world to carve these enormously detailed and imaginative shapes out of ice. Some of them are bigger than my house! It's beautiful but also a little sad because you know the sculptures will eventually melt away.In the summer, there are night markets that take over the streets where you can buy all kinds of snacks, toys, and clothes. It's a big, important city with over 8 million people living there. Can you imagine having that many neighbors? Woah! The city has a long history dating back over 2,300 years. It used to be called Mukden when it was ruled by the Qing Dynasty emperors. Some really old buildings and palace ruins from back then are still around today. Pretty neat, right? One of the most famous spots in Shenyang is the Mukden Palace. This huge palace complex used to be home to the Qing emperors before they moved their capital to Beijing. Walking through the palace grounds is like stepping back in time! The buildings are so colorful and ornate with lots of intricate designs. My favorite part is the beautiful gardens with their ancient trees and ponds.Another cool place is the 18th Century Zhaoling Tomb. This is where one of the Qing emperors and his wife were buried underground in an enormous tomb filled with treasures. I think it would be both fascinating and a little creepy to explore those ancient tunnels!Speaking of creepy, have you heard about the 33m tall Buddha statue in Shenyang? It was carved out of a single piece of wood in the 1700s. Apparently, the giant Buddha has survivedfires and bombings over the centuries. Some people say it's haunted...I'll let you decide if you believe those spooky stories or not! These days, Shenyang is known as an important industrial center for machinery, cars, weapons and aircraft manufacturing. Factories and smokestacks are everywhere you look. My dad works at one of the big automobile plants making cars to sell all across China. When it comes to food, Shenyang has some really yummy local dishes you've got to try. Their fried meat patties called 'guo kui' are crispy on the outside and juicy inside - my mouth is watering just thinking about them! For dessert, you can't miss Shenyang's famous 'muhkwa' which are sticky, chewy rice cakes covered in sesame and peanuts. So delicious! The winters in Shenyang are freezing cold with tons of snow. Temperatures can drop to -30°C brrrrr! Everyone has to bundle up in huge puffy coats to stay warm. We go sledding and have huge snowball fights to make the most of that chilly winter weather. In the summer, the city comes alive with lots of outdoor festivities and celebrations. People dress up in colorful traditional clothes and there are performances of music, dancingand dragon puppets. My favorite part is getting to sample all the different street food stalls lining the parks and plazas. Yum!One thing you have to know about Shenyang is that it has a huge population of Korean descendants. After the Korean War, many ethnic Koreans settled here. You'll see signs in both Chinese and Korean all over the city. There are even special neighborhoods and markets catering to the Korean community.Shenyang is considered one of the most livable cities in China with its nice mix of modern and historical sites, tasty food options, and fun seasonal activities. Let me tell you all about my amazing hometown!Shenyang is the capital of Liaoning Province and it's huge - over 8 million people live here! The city has a really long history dating back over 2,300 years. In the 17th century, it was even the capital of the mighty Qing Dynasty for a while before they moved the capital to Beijing. One of the coolest things about Shenyang is all the incredible historic sites and ancient architecture. The Mukden Palace is this massive complex that used to be home to the Qing emperors. With its grand halls, temples, gardens and walls, it's like stepping back in time to imperial China. I love exploring the palace grounds and imagining what life was like for the royals back then!Another iconic Shenyang landmark is the Zhaoling Tomb. This is where some of the early Qing Dynasty emperors and empresses are buried underneath these huge stone tortoise and crown structures. The tomb area is so peaceful and serene. My favourite part is rubbing the tortoise heads - it's supposed to bring you luck and wisdom!Speaking of luck, Shenyang has some amazing temples too. The Taiqing Palace is this Buddhist temple that's over 300 years old with the most beautiful architecture and intricate carvings. They have huge copper Buddha statues and the whole place has such a calm, spiritual vibe. Whenever I go there I like to make a wish by tying a ribbon to the wishing tree! For a city over 2,000 years old, Shenyang sure has a hip, modern side too. We have the best shopping areas like Zhongjie Pedestrian Street and Taiyuan Street. These long walking streets are packed with stores selling clothes, toys, snacks - you name it! The neon lights and buzz of activity make it feel like a giant, non-stop party. If you want the ultimate Shenyang experience though, you have to visit Shenyang Muslim Street. This area is famous for its mouthwatering delicacies from the Muslim Hui minority group. Just wandering down the street, your nose gets hit with the most tantalizing scents of kebabs, flatbreads, dumplings and noodle soups sizzling away. My favourite treat is sugarობილეびs - they're deep-fried dough twists coated in syrup and they're outrageously good.No visit to Shenyang is complete without slurping down some lazi, our local hotpot specialty. It's a super spicy brothloaded with lamb, beef, veggies and thick hand-pulled noodles. The name literally means "lazy" because the idea is you can just sit there and not have to chew much! It'll definitely put some fire in your belly. If you need to cool off after all that spice, Shenyang has some amazing outdoor spaces too. Qingshui Park is this peaceful oasis right in the city center with ancient temples, pavilions and even a miniature mountain landscape. I love hiking the trails and discovering the hidden nooks and pagodas. For a bigger nature escape, you have to visit Shenyang's Huáng Hé Scenic Area. It's built all along the b anks of the majestic Hun River and has tons of walking paths winding through lush gardens and forests. You can take a boat cruise down the river or even go river rafting if you're feeling adventurous! In the winter, Shenyang turns into a snowy wonderland. Bundle up and you can go sledding, ice skating or skiing at spots all around the city. One of my favourite traditions is the huge Ice and Snow World they build every year - it's like an icy fairytale kingdom with massive illuminated ice sculptures!Whether you're exploring ancient palaces, indulging in delicious cuisine or enjoying the great outdoors, Shenyang reallydoes have something for everyone. I feel so lucky to call this historic yet modern, cultural yet natural city my home. If you ever get a chance to visit, you'll quickly see why us locals are so proud of our awesome Shenyang!篇6Shenyang, My Awesome City!Hi there! My name is Li Ming and I'm a 10-year-old kid from Shenyang, China. Shenyang is the coolest city ever and I want to tell you all about it!First off, Shenyang is the capital of Liaoning Province in northeastern China. It's a really big and important city with over 8 million people living there. The city has a long history going back over 2,300 years to ancient times. A lot of amazing things happened in Shenyang's past.During the Qing Dynasty from 1644 to 1911, Shenyang used to be called Mukden. It was where the Manchu rulers who governed China were from originally. The city has incredible royal palaces and tombs from that era that you can still visit today! The Mukden Palace is this gigantic complex of traditional buildings painted yellow and red. It's so beautiful and grand. I went there on a school field trip and loved exploring all thedifferent halls and gardens. The tombs of Qing emperors are nearby too with amazing stone sculptures and underground rooms. But Shenyang isn't just about old stuff from centuries ago. It's a thoroughly modern city these days too. The city center has all these towering skyscrapers and neon lights that make it look so futuristic. At night the skyline is stunning with the buildings all lit up. My favorite is the Shenyang Olympic Sports Center. It kind of looks like a giant glass crown! So sparkly and cool.Shenyang has awesome food too. Since it's in the northeast, the cuisine is quite different from other Chinese foods you might know. We eat lots of dishes with meat, potatoes, and noodles. My number one favorite Shenyang delicacy is candied hawberries. They are these little berries cooked with syrup and sugar until they turn into sweet, gooey candies. So yummy! You've also got to try lao-bing which are these big pancakes stuffed with all sorts of tasty fillings like beef or vegetables. Shenyang is famous for lao-bing all over China.Another amazing thing about my city is the incredible weather we get. Shenyang has four distinct seasons that are all awesome in their own way. Winters are bitterly freezing with tons of snow. Building epic snowmen and having crazy snowballfights is the best! Spring is nice and mild when all the trees get their leaves back. Summer brings hot sunny days where my friends and I go swimming at the water park. But my favorite is autumn when the whole city turns bright orange and red from the changing leaves. So pretty! You know what else rocks about Shenyang? All the fun stuff there is to do! We have awesome museums like the Shenyang Science World which is packed with mind-blowing exhibits on technology and nature. Then there are massive parks perfect for having picnics, riding bikes, or just relaxing among the beautiful gardens. My top pick is Shenyang's gigantic Zhongshan Square which hosted the 2005 World Expo gardens. It's this lush oasis right in the center of the city.Just walking around Shenyang's neighborhoods is entertaining too. The city has such a cool mix of old historic areas with traditional courtyard houses alongside gleaming new shopping districts. You've got to check out the Xita Street antique market where friendly vendors sell all kinds of fascinating ancient treasures and knick-knacks. And Shenyang's underground metropolis is so rad - it's basically a whole other city underneath the streets with malls, restaurants, and metro stations! How awesome is that?I love living in Shenyang. From the incredible food to the fascinating mix of new and old, there's always something exciting to explore and experience. As you can probably tell, I'm super proud to call this amazing city my home. If you ever get the chance to visit Shenyang, you've got to let me know so I can show you around all the coolest spots! Today I want to tell you all about my amazing hometown!Shenyang is the capital of Liaoning Province. It has a really long history dating back over 2,300 years. A loooong time ago, it used to be the capital of the Qing Dynasty which ruled China for almost 300 years! Because of this important background, Shenyang has tons of incredible historical sites and cultural relics leftover from ancient times. One of the coolest places in Shenyang is the Mukden Palace. This giant palace complex used to be where the Qing emperors lived a few centuries ago. It has over 300 rooms and covers a huge area - it's like a small city inside the city! My favorite part is the pretty gardens with all the colorful flowers and decorativerocks. I also really like the Qing dynasty outfits and weapons you can see in the museums there. So awesome!Another must-see is the Zhaoling Tomb. This is where one of the early Qing emperors and his empresses are buried underground. Above ground there are huge stone sculptures of animals, officials, and warriors guarding the tomb. My dad says the underground palace is even more amazing but you need special permission to go inside. Maybe I'll get to sneak a peek when I'm older! If you like wide open spaces, Shenyang has a ton of parks perfect for having picnics, flying kites, or just running around. Shenyang People's Park is centrally located and has an amusement park inside. My favorite though is Qingshui Park because it has a big lake where you can go boating in the summer. In the winter when it freezes over, we go ice skating! The ice is so clear you can see all the way to the bottom.Speaking of winter, Shenyang gets super cold and we have loooong freezing winters. Last year we got over 6 feet of snow! That's taller than me. The snow gets piled up so high on the sides of roads that all you can see are the tops of cars driving by! Don't worry though, we're used to the harsh winters here. We justbundle up in our biggest, puffiest jackets and keep on going about our days.Another thing Shenyang is famous for is the food! We have the most incredible bread products ever. My favorite is the shaobing, which is a sesame seed-crusted baked pie stuffed with all sorts of yummy fillings like beef, vegetables, or even sugary sweet fillings. I could honestly eat 10 of them in one sitting, no problem. We also have these crispy, sugary dough twists called youxian that are addictively delicious. Eating those with a cup of hot soybean milk is the perfect breakfast when it's freezing outside. For regular meals, Shenyang has a cool mix of northeasternChinese cuisine along with Korean and Manchurian influences from the ethnic groups that live here. Lots of hearty stews, dumplings, and noodle dishes that warm you right up. My mom always complains the food here is too salty and oily for her taste, but I love it!Overall, Shenyang is such an awesome city with a perfect blend of ancient history, modern life, yummy food, and crazy winters. We have so much fun stuff to see and do all year round. If you ever get a chance to visit, I promise you won't bedisappointed! Let me know if you need a local tour guide to show you around. It's an underground tomb where one of the Qing emperors and his wife are buried. You can go inside and see all the cool carvings and decorations. It's kind of spooky but also really interesting to learn about how they buried emperors back then.Even though Shenyang has a lot of old stuff, it's also a very modern city. There are tons of tall buildings and skyscrapers, especially in the downtown area. One of the tallest buildings is called the Shenyang World Trade Center, and it's over 300 meters high! At night, all the buildings are lit up with colorful lights, and it looks so pretty.Shenyang has some really tasty food too. My favorite is the Shenyang liang pi, which is kind of like a cold noodle dish with lots of flavors. It's a little bit spicy and a little bit sour, but it's super yummy, especially in the summer. Another famous Shenyang food is the Shenyang shabu-shabu, which is a kind of hot pot where you cook thin slices of meat and vegetables in a boiling pot of broth. It's fun to cook your own food at the table! One of the best things about Shenyang is that it has four distinct seasons. In the spring, all the trees and flowers start to bloom, and the weather is nice and warm. Summer can get pretty hot, but it's perfect for going to the pool or the water park. Fall is my favorite season because the leaves turn all sorts of pretty colors like red, orange, and yellow. And in the winter, it snows a lot, and you can go sledding or build snowmen. No matter what time of year it is, there's always something fun to do!Shenyang also has some really cool parks and museums. My best friend's parents are zookeepers there, so sometimes we even get to go "behind-the-scenes" and learn how they care for all the animals. We've gotten to feed the elephants, pet the kangaroos, and watch the vets give medical check-ups. It's the best!Well, those are some of my favorite parts about living in the amazing city of Shenyang. My name is Xinxin and I'm 9 years old. I was born and raised in the awesome city of Shenyang in northeastern China. Today, I want to tell you all about my beloved hometown!Shenyang is the capital of Liaoning Province and a major city in the region. With over 8 million people, it's a huge metropolitan area with lots of tall buildings, busy streets, and cool attractions. The city has a really long history dating back over 2,000 years to ancient times. It used to be called Shenyang when it was the capital of the Qing Dynasty from 1625 to 1644.One of the top places to visit in Shenyang is the Imperial Palace or Gugong. This grand palace complex used to be home to the Qing emperors. The amazing architecture with its yellow glazed tiles looks just like the Forbidden City in Beijing! I love wandering around the throne rooms, living quarters, gardens, and other buildings imagining what life was like back then. The Forbidden City is probably Shenyang's most famous landmark.Another highlight is Zhongshan Square right in the center of town. Escher artwork come to life! Climbing on the trippy structures and taking fun photos is my favorite activity there.Shenyang has plenty of parks and green spaces too. My top pick is Shenyang Olympic Park which hosted some events for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. It centers around a huge lake with beautiful willow trees and flower gardens lining the shoreline. You can rent a boat, have a picnic, or just lounge on the grassy areas. In winter, they open up an awesome outdoor ice skating rink!Speaking of winter, we definitely get our fair share of cold and snow in Shenyang. Temperatures can drop below freezing from December through March. Us locals are used to bundling up in our heaviest coats, hats, and gloves to brave the bitter chill. One fun winter tradition is eating pāohuā bing or scorched bread baked in a cylindrical clay oven. This delicious street food is crispy and chewy at the same time - the perfect snack to keep you warm!No matter the season, Shenyang dishes up some incredibly tasty cuisine. We're known across China for our xīhuā candiedfruit snacks, fried meat pies, and fresh pulled noodles like suan nai you mian. My mouth is watering just thinking about the flavors! For family dinners, we love shapalishi or "eight treasure" rice stuffed with hearty ingredients like chicken, sausage, vegetables, and egg yolk. Yum!Well, I could go on and on about Shenyang's charms all day. From ancient palaces to modern marvels, delicious eats to winter wonderlands, my city has something for everyone. If you ever get the chance to visit northeastern China, make sure to stop by Shenyang! I'm proud to call this historic, dynamic, and fun place my hometown.。
