I am writing to express my thoughts on the topic of self-study for the English proficiency examination. As a self-learner who has successfully passed the English II exam, I would like to share some tips and strategies that have helped me along the way.First and foremost, it is essential to create a study schedule and stick to it. Setting aside dedicated time each day for studying English will help you stay on track and make steady progress. Consistency is key when it comes to language learning, so make sure to allocate enough time for reading, writing, listening, and speaking practice. In addition to regular study sessions, it is crucial to immerse yourself in the language as much as possible. This can be done by watching English movies and TV shows, listening to English music, and reading English books and articles. By exposing yourself to the language in various forms, you will improve your listening and comprehension skills, as well as expand your vocabulary.Furthermore, practice makes perfect. Utilize online resources such as language learning apps, websites, and forums to practice grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. Engaging in language exchange with native speakers can also be beneficial in improving your speaking skills and gaining confidence in using English in real-life situations.Another important aspect of self-study is setting specific goals and tracking your progress. By setting achievable goals, such as mastering a certain number of vocabulary words or improving your writing skills, you can stay motivated and focused on your learning journey. Keep a journal or a study log to track your progress and celebrate your achievements along the way.Lastly, don't be afraid to make mistakes. Learning a new language is a process, and making mistakes is a natural part of that process. Embrace your mistakes as opportunities for growth and learning, and don't be discouraged by setbacks. Remember that every mistake is a step closer to mastery. In conclusion, self-study for the English proficiency examination requires dedication, consistency, and perseverance. I am writing this letter to offer some advice on how to write a versatile and effective recommendation letter. As someone who has both written and read many recommendation letters, I believe that following these guidelines will help you create a powerful and impactful letter that will truly benefit the person you are recommending.First and foremost, it is important to start the letter by introducing yourself and your relationship to the person you are recommending. This will provide context for the reader and give them an understanding of your perspective. Be sure to include your name, position, and how long you have known the individual.Next, it is crucial to highlight the person's strengths and qualifications. Provide specific examples of their skills, accomplishments, and character traits that make them an outstanding candidate. Use concrete and descriptive language to paint a clear picture of the individual's capabilities and potential.Additionally, it is important to tailor the letter to the specific opportunity or position the person is applying for. Research the requirements and expectations of the role and align your recommendation with those criteria. This will demonstrate that you have a deep understanding of the person's fit for the position and will add credibility to your endorsement.Furthermore, it is essential to be honest and genuine in your recommendation. Avoid exaggerating or embellishing the person's qualifications, as this can come across as insincere and ultimately harm their chances. Instead, focus on providing a balanced and authentic portrayal of the individual, highlighting both their strengths and areas for growth. Moreover, it is beneficial to include specific anecdotes or examples that illustrate the person's impact and contributions. This will add depth and credibility to yourrecommendation and provide the reader with tangible evidence of the individual's abilities. In addition, it is important to conclude the letter with a strong and confident endorsement. Clearly state your recommendation and express your belief in the person's potential for success. This will leave a lasting impression on the reader and reinforce the value of your endorsement. Finally, it is crucial to proofread and edit the letter for clarity, coherence, and correctness. Ensure that there are no grammatical or typographical errors, and that the letter flows smoothly from start to finish. A polished and professional recommendation letter will reflect positively on both you and the person you are recommending. In conclusion, writing a versatile and effective recommendation letter requires careful consideration and attention to detail. By following these guidelines, you can create a powerful and impactful letter that will truly benefit the person you are recommending. Thank you for considering this advice, and I wish you the best of luck in crafting your recommendation letter.Sincerely,。

自学考试英语二经典必考英语作文书信文一览

自学考试英语二经典必考英语作文书信文一览

自学考试英语二经典必考英语作文书信文一览全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Classic Writing Tasks for English ExamsHi there! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about the different types of writing tasks you might see on English exams. My teacher Mrs. Johnson taught our class about these, and I thought they were really interesting! The first type is narrative writing. This is where you tell a story, like writing your own book or short novel. The story can be imaginary and made-up, or it can be based on a real event from your life. You need to have characters, a plot with a beginning, middle and end, and descriptive details to make the story come alive. Some exams give you a picture or prompt to start your narrative from.Another common writing task is descriptive writing. Instead of telling a story, you just describe something in lots of detail to create a vivid picture in the reader's mind. It could be describing a person, place, object, experience or memory. You use all your senses - sight, sound, smell, taste, touch - to paint that picturewith words. Descriptive language like adjectives and figurative speech is really important. Then there are expository writing tasks. These are more factual and informational, where you explain, define or describe a process. You might have to write an essay explaining what causes climate change or how to bake a cake. You can't make things up - it has to be logical and based on facts and research.Persuasive writing is another biggie! For these tasks, you have to take a stance on an issue and convince the reader of your viewpoint. You state your opinion, give reasons and evidence, and try to get the reader to agree with you. Some persuasive prompts could be "Selling violent video games should be banned" or "All students should have to wear school uniforms."Speaking of opinions, another task is opinion essays or editorials. These are like persuasive writing but more balanced - you look at different perspectives and evidence for and against an issue before stating your own view. You explore the pros and cons in a fair way. There are also creative writing prompts, where you get to use your imagination! You might be asked to write a poem, song lyrics, a creative memoir piece, or a creative response to a book you read. Don't be afraid to be artistic and play with language. The last major type I'll mention is correspondence - in other words, letter or email writing. You could have to write a formal letter, like a job application, proposal or complaint. Or it might be an informal, friendly letter to a friend or relative. The tone, formatting and conventions are different for each.Phew! That's a lot of different writing tasks! The important thing is to read the prompt or instructions very carefully. Make sure you understand what type of writing is expected, who the audience is, and what the purpose is. Then plan out your writing with an outline or notes before you start drafting.I really hope this overview has helped explain some of the main writing tasks you could face on English tests and exams. I know it's a lot to remember, but don't worry - just take itstep-by-step. I believe in you! Let me know if you have any other questions.篇2English Writing: The Many Styles I Need to LearnHi there! My name is Emma and I'm 10 years old. I love learning new things, especially when it comes to English class. Writing is one of my favorite subjects because there are so many different styles to explore. My teacher says it's really important topractice all the various formats, as they could appear on big tests down the road. While some writing styles are more fun than others, I'm trying my best to master them all. Let me tell you about some of the main ones we've covered so far!LettersOne of the first kinds of writing we learned was letters. There are a few key things to remember when writing a letter. First, you need to include the date at the very top. Then comes your greeting, like "Dear Grandma," or "Dear Friend." After that is the body of the letter where you write all your news and messages. You're supposed to use full sentences and paragraphs, just like in an essay. Finally, you sign off with "Sincerely," or maybe "Love," and then your name. We've practiced lots of different letter styles - friendly letters to family, thank you notes, and letters to people you don't know very well. My favorite was the one we wrote to our future selves! The teacher is keeping them safe until we're in 5th grade. I can't wait to open mine and see what hopes and dreams 10-year-old me had jotted down.EmailThese days, people don't just write letters on paper anymore. We also have to know how to send proper emails. Emails are kind of like modern letters, but the formatting is a little different. Instead of a date at the top, you write the recipient's email address and your own address. Then you have a subject line where you sum up what the email is about in just a few words. The body is pretty much the same as a letter though. You still use full sentences, paragraphs, and stuff. Except with emails, you need to be way more careful about abbreviations and slang. The teacher always reminds us that emails have to be polished and professional, just like any other kind of writing assignment. At the very end, you can simply put your name again instead of "Sincerely." No need for your address or anything. Isn't technology neat? You just hit send and your message zooms through cyberspace to its destination! Of course, the teacher still makes us handwrite some letters too so we don't forget how.Formal EssaysOkay, now for the writing that's not quite as fun...formal essays! These follow a super strict format with no room for creativity. Basically, you start with an introductory paragraph that clearly states your main idea and the points you'll cover. Then you have three body paragraphs where you discuss those pointsone by one, using lots of details and examples. Finally, you wrap it all up in a conclusion paragraph that restates your main idea. The hardest part is making sure to use very formal language with no contractions or casual phrases. You also can't use "I" or "you" - it has to be in third person, like "one" instead of "you." And zero exclamation points or emoticons allowed! My essays always end up sounding like robots wrote them. But I guess that's the point - they're supposed to be super serious with no personality.Persuasive LettersThese are like a mixture of a letter and an essay. The purpose is to clearly state your opinion and support it with strong reasons and examples, kind of like an essay. But the format is just like a letter, with the date, greeting, body, and signature at the end. We've had to write persuasive letters about all sorts of topics - why our school should have a longer recess, which pet is the best to own, what to do about litterbugs, etc. I kind of enjoy these because you get to blend formal writing skills with a more casual, conversational tone. Just don't get too casual and mix in text-speak and stuff!Creative StoriesPhew, I'm getting a little worn out just thinking about all these formats! Probably my favorite kind of writing is when we get to make up fun, creative stories. For these, we can finally loosen up and not worry about sticking to a rigid structure or using super formal language. We use all the descriptive words, metaphors, imagery, and conversational dialogue that are usually off-limits.The only real "rule" is that stories need to follow a chronological plot with a clear beginning, middle, and end. Other than that, we can let our imaginations run wild! I love dreaming up wacky characters, fantastical settings, and unpredictable storylines. Of course, the stories still need to make sense overall. But we can definitely get way more expressive and personal compared to dry reports and essays.Whew, I think that's most of the major writing formats we've covered so far! Believe me, there are plenty more where those came from. I have a feeling things are only going to get trickier from here on out. But I'm trying hard to master each style, one by one. Writing can be challenging for sure, but I still enjoy exploring all the cool ways we can use words to express ourselves. I just have to keep practicing, practice, practice.Maybe I'll grow up to be an author or journalist someday! Who knows what the future holds? For now, I'll just keep on writin'!篇3Classic Exam Essays and Letters for Self-Study English Test IIHello, my name is Emily, and I'm a 10-year-old student in the fifth grade. I love learning English, and I'm super excited to share with you some of the classic exam essays and letters that are often included in the Self-Study English Test II. These essays tell a story, and they're a great way to show off your creativity and your ability to use descriptive language. For example, you might be asked to write about a time when you overcame a challenge or learned an important life lesson.Another type of essay that's often included on the test is the persuasive essay. In these essays, you have to try to convince the reader to agree with your point of view. You might be asked to write about a controversial topic, like whether or not students should have to wear uniforms to school.Expository essays are also really common on the Self-Study English Test II. These essays are all about explaining something to the reader. You might be asked to explain how something works, like a scientific process or a historical event. But the Self-Study English Test II isn't just about essays – you might also be asked to write a letter. I hope this has been helpful, and good luck with your studies! Remember, as long as you work hard and stay focused, you can absolutely ace this test.篇4My Favorite Writing TopicsHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. I love writing stories and letters. My teacher Mrs. Roberts always gives us fun prompts to write about in class. Some of my favorite writing assignments are when we get to write letters or essays ondifferent topics. I'll tell you about some of the best ones we've done!Writing LettersOne of the first types of letters we learned was friendly letters. A friendly letter is written to someone you know, like a friend or family member. You have to include a heading with your address and the date. Then you start with a greeting like "Dear Sam," for your friend Sam.The body is where you write all the details you want to tell your friend. You can write about what's new with you, ask them questions, and tell funny stories. My favorite friendly letter was when I wrote to my cousin about losing my first tooth. I described how weird it felt and how I was excited for the tooth fairy to come! After the body, you write a closing like "Your friend," and then your name. Easy peazy!Another type of letter is a business letter. These are more formal letters that you write to companies or professionals like doctors. The heading goes at the top too but then you have to write the date and the address you're sending it to.The greeting in a business letter is more formal too, like "Dear Dr. Smith." In the body, you have to be very clear about why you're writing. Like if I was writing to my doctor about getting a rash, I'd describe my symptoms very specifically. To close a business letter, you write "Sincerely," and your name. We had to write practice business letters asking companies for information about their products. It was a little tricky at first but good practice! The last kind of letter is called a persuasive letter. This is where you're trying to convince the reader to do or agree with something. Like if I wrote a persuasive letter to my parents, I might try to persuade them to let me get a puppy or stay up later. For persuasive letters, your body paragraphs have to state your opinion clearly at first. Then you give strong reasons and evidence to back up your point of view. You have to make it sound logical and reasonable. I wrote one trying to convince my principal to have extra recess time every Friday. I gave reasons like how fresh air and exercise helps kids focus better. Unfortunately it didn't work - but maybe next year!Essay WritingAnother thing we practice a lot is writing different types of essays. I've gotten pretty good at organzing my thoughts into an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. One of my favorite essays to write is a narrative essay. This is just a true story, usually something that happened to you. The introduction gets the reader interested by setting up the scene. Like if I wrote about the time I got stung by a bee, I might start with a dramatic line like "I'll never forget the sun-drenched summer day when a bee decided to attack."Then in the body paragraphs, you go through the story chronologically - what happened first, next, and so on. The body covers all the details like descriptive words to set the scene, quotes from what people said, and your own thoughts and feelings throughout the experience. The conclusion wraps it all up and explains why the event was so meaningful or important to you. For my bee story, I might write about how it taught me to be more careful around bugs and nature. It's fun getting to tell your own real stories!Another common essay is the expository essay. This is all about explaining a process or giving information about a topic. Like you could write an expository essay on something like "How Trees Grow" or "The Life Cycle of a Butterfly."The intro gets the reader interested and gives an overview of what you're about to explain. Each body paragraph then walks through one step of the process or one main point about the subject. You might use signal words like "First," "Next," and "Finally" to organize your points. The conclusion just summarizes the key things you explained. Easy peasy! We had to write one about how to make our favorite meal from start to finish. I picked mac and cheese since it's so delicious and not too hard to explain. We also have written persuasive essays, which are kind of like the persuasive letters. You take a clear stance on an issue or topic and then back it up with lots of reasoning and evidence to make your case. The intro gets the reader interested and states your thesis - your main argument or viewpoint. Each body paragraph covers one of your key reasons why your stance is right, using facts and logic. Like if I wrote that kids should get less homework, I might have body points about how it causes stress, prevents family time, and doesn't really help learning. In the conclusion, you restate your thesis and give a powerful closing statement that wraps up your whole argumentin a strong way. I had to write a persuasive essay last year about which was the best ice cream flavor. I篇5Learning English by MyselfHi everyone! My name is Jenny and I'm 10 years old. I really love learning English because it's such a fun and useful language. My teacher says that writing practice is super important for getting good at English. So today I want to share some of the most common essay and letter topics that come up on English exams. That way, you can start preparing too!One of the biggest topics is writing letters. On tests, you might have to write a letter to a friend, a family member, a teacher, or even a company. Some common letter types include:• Letters to a pen pal introducing yourself and your hobbies• Thank you letters to someone who gave you a gift or did you a favor• Letters to family members updating them o n your life• Cover letters applying for a job or opportunity• Complaint letters about a product or service you weren't happy withFor any letter, you need to get the formatting right. Start with your address at the top right, then the date below it. Below that goes the recipient's address on the left side. After a blank line, put your greeting like "Dear Sarah," or "To Whom It May Concern."The body is indented and has an intro, middle paragraphs, and conclusion. Use transition words like "firstly," "additionally," and "in conclusion." End with "Sincerely," then your signature.Another major topic is opinion essays where you argue for a particular viewpoint. You might see prompts like:• "Schools should require students to wear unif orms" - agree or disagree?• Which leisure activity is better - playing sports or gaming? Why?• Should all courses be taught online or in-person? Take a stance. For opinions, your intro paragraph states your thesis or main argument. Each body paragraph has one reason supporting youropinion, with explanations and examples. The conclusion rephrases your thesis and summarizes main points. You may also write expository or informative essays about concepts or processes. For instance:• Explain the life cycle of a butterfly• Describe the history and traditions of a holiday• What are the steps involved in making pizza? These follow the same format: intro with thesis, body paragraphs with facts and descriptions, closing paragraph. Be sure to use transitions, formal language, and stay objective without opinions.Narrative essays are another possibility. The prompts ask you to tell a true story, like:• An experience that taught you something valuable• A challenge you overcame• The happiest or funniest moment of your lifeSet up the situation in the intro, then the body tells the story chronologically with descriptive details like sights, sounds, emotions. The conclusion shares the lesson or significance of the experience.Last but not least, you could see creative prompts like:• If you could be an animal, which would you be and why?• W rite a short story starting with the line: "It was a dark and stormy night..."• If you could invent one thing to make the world better, what would it be?For creative writing, let your imagination run wild! Use descriptive and figurative language. Follow story elements like character, setting, plot. Most of all, have fun with it.No matter what type of writing you encounter, stay calm and organized. Brainstorm ideas first, then outline your intro, body, and closing thoughts. While you write, keep checking back that you're following instructions and answering all parts of the prompt.Whew, that's a lot to cover for English essays and letters! The key things are using proper formatting, staying on topic, including quality examples and explanations, and checking your work. I hope these tips help you feel prepared.Just remember - the more you practice writing in English, the easier it will become. Don't get discouraged, and keep working hard! Pretty soon, you'll be an English writing superstar. Let me know if you have any other questions!篇6Learning English Through Letters and EmailsHi friends! My name is Emma and I'm 10 years old. I love learning English and want to share some tips about how to practice your writing skills through letters and emails. These are really important for doing well on English exams.Let's start with letters since those have been around for a super long time! Letters used to be the main way people communicated with friends and family far away before things like email and texting existed. Can you imagine having to wait weeks or even months to get a letter back from your pen pal? That's how it was back in the old days! There are a few different types of letters we need to know how to write for English exams. One is an informal letter to a friend or relative. These letters have a very friendly, casual tone. You can start with a greeting like "Dear Sam" or "Hi Grandma". Then you just write like you are having a conversation and tellingthem all about what has been going on in your life lately. You can ask questions, tell funny stories, discuss your hobbies, or anything else friends would chat about. At the end you can say something loving like "Your pal, Emma" or "Take care, love Emma".Formal letters are written very differently. You have to use proper language, avoid slang or contractions, and have a more serious tone. An example situation could be writing to a company about a problem with a product you purchased. You would start with "Dear Sir/Madam" since you don't know the name of who you are writing to. Then state your purpose clearly, give all the relevant details in a polite way, and end with "Yours faithfully,". It's important to organize formal letters in a logical way with an introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion.Another type of formal letter is writing to the editor of a newspaper or magazine. Maybe there was an article you disagre。

北京自考英语二作文,书信

北京自考英语二作文,书信Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to express my concerns about the increasing amount of plastic waste in our environment. As a concerned citizen, I believe it is our responsibility to take action to reduce the amount of plastic waste we produce. Firstly, plastic waste is harmful to our environment. It takes hundreds of years for plastic to decompose, and during that time, it can release harmful chemicals into the soil and water. This can have devastating effects on wildlife and their habitats, as well as on human health. Secondly, the production of plastic is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. The process of producing plastic requires the use of fossil fuels, which release carbon dioxide and other harmful gases into the atmosphere. This contributes to climate change and its associated impacts, such as rising sea levels and extreme weather events. Thirdly, plastic waste is a global problem that requires a global solution. While individual actions can make a difference, it is important for governments and businesses to take action as well. This includes investing in alternative materials and recycling programs, as well as implementing policies to reduce the use of single-use plastics. In order to address this issue, I believe we need to take a multi-faceted approach. This includes reducing our use of plastic, recycling as much as possible, and supporting the development of alternative materials. We can also support businesses and organizations that are taking action to reduce their plastic footprint, and advocate for government policies that promote sustainability. In conclusion, plastic waste is a serious issue that requires immediate action. By working together and taking individual responsibility, we can reduce the amount of plastic waste we produce and protect our environment for future generations. Sincerely, [Your Name]。
