1.0 Purpose / 目的

To evaluate the safety of battery pack employed in the rechargeable type sample when terminals of battery pack are short-circuited.

评估可充电型样机的电池是否符合安全要求.

2.0 Definition/概念:

2.1 Discharge-Operate the sample no longer to operate with the switch in the”on” position

for an additional hour.

电池完全放电-运行样机直到其完全停止,再保持开关处在开的位置上多一个小时.

2.2 Recharge-Charge the discharged sample for 16 hours through the charger connected to a

supply main of 120V/60Hz.

充电-让电池完全放电的样机通过充电器接上120V/60Hz电源充电16小时.

5.0 General Instructions/说明:

5.1 Tests may be conducted at any ambient temperature within a range of 10-40℃(50-100℉).

测试可在10~40℃(50~100℉)之的环境温度下进行.

5.2 Unless otherwise noted, all tests are to be conducted with appliance connected

to a 120VAC, 60Hz power source.

除非另外标注, 否则所有样机都将连接在120V/60Hz电源下进行测试.

5.3 All equipment used must be calibrated on an annual basis. Calibration stickers

with last calibration and calibration due date must be affixed to each instrument.

使用的所有设备都必须以一年为周期进行调校. 载有最后调校日期和调校周期的调校粘纸必须被粘固在每一个仪表上.

6.0 Procedure/步骤:

6.1 Obtain a representative sample of the appliance to be tested.

准备一台有代表性的样机用来测试.

6.2 Obtain Test Results Form TTR1033 and completely fill in the information describing the

sample and the equipment used prior to running the test.

用TTR1033结果的表格, 在测试运作前完整地填入样机和使用的设备的情况.

6.3 Discharge and recharge the sample.

将样机电池完全放电后充满电.

6.4 Short-circuit the terminals of battery pack through knife switch making sure it open.

把样机电池包两极端子分别引一条线出来接到一开关装置控制的两侧，确保开关装置处于断开状态。

6.5 Immerse the sample completely into nonconductive oil.

将样机完全浸入装满油的容器中。如图1示意图。

6.6 Close the knife switch until the ultimate results are obtained.

合上开关装置，观察测试现象，直到最终结果出现，停止测试

6.7 As a result of the test：

a)There is/is no venting of the battery；

b)There is no rupturing or distortion of the battery case;

c)There is no expulsion of the battery electrolyte.

观察测试中是否有冒泡，测试后电池壳是否断裂或变形，电池电极是否脱位。

7.0 Results/结果:

7.1 Use the corresponding Test Results Form TTR1032 to report all numerical results as the

information described below.

使用TTR1032测试结果的表格, 除报告所有数字结果外, 还有下列描述的数据.

7.2 Clearly and completely describe all parts that are part of this evaluation. Include all

model numbers, manufacturing date codes, materials, plastic part revision letters, and modification status.

清楚并完整地描述本评估的所有零件, 包括所有型号名称, 材料和塑料零件改版符号.

7.3 Clearly and completely describe all special conditions of the test (i.e. Was

the test performed in exact accordance with the test procedure or were there special variations).

清楚并完整地描述所有测试的特殊条件(即按照测试程序实际进行的测试或特殊的变改)。
