Warming up activities:

After this, please open your book and turn to Lesson 55, let us see who are the Sawyers, and what do they like to do?

Read the paragraph by yourselves and then watch the vedio.

What does Mrs. Sawyer usually do in the afternoon?

When do the children always do their homework?

Grammar:

一般现在时：表示经常的习惯性的动作或者是现在的状态，常与表示频度的时间状语连用，表示客观事实或普遍真理。

Mrs. Sawyer stays at home every day.

At night, the children always do their homework.

注意：当主语为第三人称单数（he/she/it/Tom/my brother…）时，谓语动词+s或+es

1、一般情况在动词后面直接加-s，如: come----comes arrive----arrives

2、以-s, -x, -ch, -sh, -o 结尾的动词加-es，如：fix----fixes wash----washes go----goes watch----watches do----does

3、以辅音加-y结尾的动词，把-y改成-i，再加-es;而元音加-y结尾的动词，只加-s即可：carry----carries play----plays stay----stays

练习：Mrs. Sawyer (stay) at home.

She always (eat) her lunch at home.

重要知识点：

1、在英文中，姓氏后面加s，前面加上定冠词the，表示“某某一家”，后面的谓语动词用复数。如：the Sawyers

2、Live是不及物动词，后面要加介词in/at, in 通常加地点、城市等，at通常用于街道、门牌号等。如：live in Beijing，live at 87 King Street

3、Arrive为不及物动词，在它后面不可以直接跟名词作为宾语，需要加介词in/at, 后面是大地点时用in，小地点时用at。如：arrive in Shanghai，arrive at school
