Debating: Arguments for or against believing in the supernatural

A:hey,what do you think of believing in the supernatural?

B: This question is easy to answer science or the Church. Well on one hand science is backed up on the other hand people have died for there god or gods. If people are so willing to DIE for what they believe in there must be something behind it. The Catholic Church have executed the illuminate a science group and what did they do the science fools went underground instead of fighting like men or Believers.

A:well,I think The only way to really know whether some claim is true is to read up on it from reliable sources. If you're not willing to do that (and most people aren't), then you should just trust the consensus of experts, because they're the most likely to be right.

B:but sometimes science does not work well.

A: Science is mostly a set of rules determining what we can prove and so know.

I could argue that the sky is purple, but it's not true

I could also argue that it's blue, and that would be true.

But if we had lived in a tomb for a long time and had lost knowledge of it's color over many generations there would be no way to tell, and science would shun both ideas as indeterminable. Not necessarily true or false.

Speculation outside the region of what we can know and prove is pointless because guess what:

We can't know or prove it.

B:maybe you are right.

Debating: Arguments for or against giving first priority to economic status in choosing a spouse

A:what do you think of this question?

B: economy always stands first in the marriage life no matter how deeply you used to love each other. In your daily marriage life, you'll gradually find that nearly everything is connected with money. I have witnessed several married couples used to give up everything in the world for their love breaking down for financial problem. So I don't mean that you should put economic status in the first place, at least you should take it into your serious consideration if you want to decide on a relationship.

A: I definitely didn't give economic status priority in choosing my husband. I married him because I love him and he is a wonderful man and takes good care of me. We certainly aren't rich, but I couldn't be happier, because he is the man I want to be with no matter what his income is. We just are very careful with our finances and make good decisions with our money, and it's never given us any problems so far. I would choose him over money any day!!

B: it is not good to get married and build a family over a shaky foundation. this is the reason why parents want that their children will consider getting married and having children of their own after having achieved some degree of financial stability. it is true that love must be the foremost consideration in marriage but, we cannot discount the fact that, in today's world no marriage will make it through without the couple's financial stability to back up the family that they are building. A:maybe,but I will hoid on my own opinion.

Debating: Arguments for or against the view that feeling stressed before job interviews is bad

A: Hello, Tom. Do you know Jerry failed the job interview?

B: Why? I can’t believe that. He is always good at everything in my mind. I think nothing can defeat him.

A: I think so. But the fact is that he failed the job interview.

B: So, why did he fail the interview?

A: It’s said that he felt stressed before the interview, so he didn’t perform well .he was so sad later. B: what a pity! The stress may make people nervous and can’t show their ability. Because it can make your mind blank and lower your IQ.

A:yes,Thought we know that the stress before the interview is bad ,we always can’t control ourselves to relax .what’s your idea about this?

B:I think we should have a good sleep on the night before the interview. we should be confident and keep a normal heart .we should just do our best .
