Ladies and gentlemen,Good morning! Today, I would like to talk about the power of listening. In today's fast-paced world, where we are constantly bombarded by distractions and information, the art of listening is often overlooked. However, I believe that listening is not only a skill, but a powerful tool that can help us connect with others and make a positive impact in our personal and professional lives.Firstly, listening is the key to effective communication. When we truly listen to someone, we show them respect and make them feel valued. By giving our full attention to the speaker, we can better understand their thoughts, feelings, and needs. This in turn enables us to respond in a meaningful way, fostering deeper connections and creating more meaningful relationships.Secondly, listening is essential for learning and personal growth. When we listen to others, especially those who have different perspectives and experiences from our own, we open ourselves up to new ideas and knowledge. By actively seeking out different viewpoints, we broaden our horizons and expand our understanding of the world. Listening also allows us to learn from our mistakes and gain valuable insights from the wisdom of others. Furthermore, the power of listening extends beyond individual interactions. It plays a crucial role in building harmonious communities and societies. By listening to the voices of all members, we foster inclusivity and ensure that everyone's needs are heard and considered. Through open and respectful dialogue, we can find common ground and work towards shared goals, creating a more cohesive and vibrant society.Lastly, listening is a skill that can be developed and honed. It requires patience, empathy, and an open mind. We can practice active listening by focusing on the speaker, maintaining eye contact, and avoiding distractions. By being fully present in the moment, we can better absorb and internalize what is being said. In conclusion, the power of listening cannot be underestimated. It is through listening that we can truly understand and connect with others, learn and grow, and build harmonious communities. So, let us embrace the art of listening and the positive impact it can have on our lives and the world around us. Thank you.。

How To Be A Good ListenerWhen we communicate with each other, we must speak and listen. The funny thing is most people love to do more talking and that means less listening. I love the saying “we have one mouth and two ears, so we should listen twice as much as we speak”. So how do we become better listeners. I'm glad you asked, because I have three ways we can do just that on this episode of rocket kids. I'm Kyrun and let's get this started. Most of what we do and don't do or the way we act and respond is based on our understanding of the messages convey to us. In other words, it’s what we think we hear, not what we know we heard. The bottom line is, listening helps us gather the formation we need to make informed decisions. It helps reduce misunderstandings and improves relationships and keeps us from jumping to conclusions. All pretty great things, so let's get to listening. Here are three ways we can become better listeners.Pay attention. This is all about focusing on speaker and really hearing what is being said. Maybe we eliminate any destructions. Don't try to talk where there's a lot of noise, like the runway on an airport, hard to hear over those planes, no. And don't get stuck on the end of a bad connection. “What? You're breaking up.”“okay, I’ll do it.”I didn't hear a word they said. Listen until they have stopped talking. Because if you're always interrupting, then, how are you even gonna know what they said, if they can't even say it.Watch your cues. What we are doing and saying really does matter to the speaker. Maybe we are leaning in a touch. I like this, because it helps me really focus on what they're saying. But what if I'm leaning back at my arms crossed, yeah, a lot different, huh. The right facial expression at the right time is another good one that lets them know you hear them. If you are talking about something disappointing, but your friend is smiling or looking off somewhere. Well, that would be weird. And you probably wouldn't want to continue. So don't do that. Things like appropriate nods and eye contact are also great nonverbal responses and don't forget the “I see”“oh really”“what?”“get out of here”“T hat's amazing”and “I understand”. They go a long way encouraging the speaker and let them know you are with them. Use these verbal and non-verbal cues, but don't be fake. Because they're gonna know and so will you.Slow it down. This is probably the hardest one to get right and requires us both to listen and respond, without making the other person feel like what they just said didn't matter at all. An active listener pays attention to what people say, how they say it and why they are saying. And to do that, we have to slow it down. Sometimes we may want to repeat what we think we just heard, just to be sure it's really what we heard. And no! We aren't just repeating what they said like some parrot, but we are short it up and putting it in our own words. Just make it a practice to be clear on what they said, so we can respond calmly, thoughtfully and with purpose. And who doesn't want that? And they’re three super ways to be a better listener. Just remember our goal is to understand the thoughts, feelings and needs of the speaker. Receive it and make sure what we heard was accurate. From here, we get to add to the conversation and what we say and how we say it, is a whole different skill for us to learn. But for listening, try to pay attention, watch your cues and slow it down. And that's this episode of rocket kids. I'm Kyrun. Thanks for being here. Thanks for listening, and always remember to be your best self.。

Ladies and gentlemen,Today, I stand before you to talk about the power of listening. Listening is an art that is often overlooked in our fast-paced and noisy world. However, it is a fundamental skill that can bring about profound changes in our personal and professional lives. When we truly listen, we build connections, foster understanding, and open ourselves up to new ideas and perspectives. One of the most important aspects of listening is empathy. When we listen empathetically, we put ourselves in the shoes of the speaker, seeking to understand their emotions, thoughts, and experiences. This allows us to forge deeper connections with others and create an environment of trust and support. By showing empathy through listening, we can offer solace to those in need, assist in problem-solving, and provide comfort and understanding.Listening also empowers us to learn, grow, and expand our horizons. When we listen intently to others, we gain new insights and perspectives that can challenge our existing beliefs and broaden our understanding of the world. By actively seeking out different viewpoints, we can foster a culture of open-mindedness and embrace diversity. Through listening, we become lifelong learners, constantly expanding our knowledge and understanding of the world around us.Moreover, listening enhances our effectiveness in our personal and professional relationships. Relationships are built on communication, and listening is a crucial component of effective communication. When we truly listen, we are better able to understand the needs, desires, and concerns of others. This allows us to respond appropriately and offer support and solutions. In the workplace, listening to colleagues and clients can lead to improved collaboration, increased productivity, and better customer service. In our personal lives, effective listening can strengthen our relationships, resolve conflicts, and foster a sense of connection and intimacy. So how can we develop our listening skills? Firstly, we must be present in the moment, fully focused on the speaker and not distracted by our own thoughts or external stimuli. Secondly, it is important to listen without judgment. We must be open and accepting of the speaker's perspective, even if it differs from our own. Additionally, asking open-ended questions and seeking clarification shows the speaker that we are truly engaged and interested in what they have to say. Lastly, we must practice active listening, which entails not only listening to the words being spoken but also paying attention to non-verbal cues and the underlying emotions and needs of the speaker. In conclusion, listening is a powerful tool that can transform our relationships, expand our knowledge, and foster empathy and understanding. By practicing active and empathetic listening, we can create a world where everyone feels truly heard and valued. So let us strive to become better listeners, and in doing so, let us unlock the immense potential of the power of listening. Thank you.。

Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening. It is my great pleasure to stand before you today to talk about a fundamental yet often overlooked aspect of communication: listening. The ability to listen effectively is not just a skill; it is a cornerstone of successful relationships, both personal and professional. In our fast-paced world, where information is readily available and distractions are abundant, the act of listening has become a lost art. We are so accustomed to talking and being talked at that we haveforgotten the importance of truly hearing what others have to say. Butlet me assure you, the power of listening cannot be overstated.Firstly, effective listening fosters trust and understanding. When we take the time to listen to others, we show them that their words and feelings matter. This can be especially crucial in professional settings, where misunderstandings can lead to conflict and lost opportunities. By listening actively, we can clarify intentions, resolve disputes, andbuild strong, lasting relationships.Consider this scenario: a team leader is discussing a project with her team. Instead of simply stating her expectations, she listens to each team member's ideas and concerns. This not only encourages open dialogue but also ensures that everyone feels valued and heard. As a result, the team is more likely to collaborate effectively and achieve their goals.Secondly, listening enhances our own communication skills. When welisten attentively, we gain insights into how others express themselves, which can help us become more empathetic and responsive in our interactions. We learn about different perspectives, experiences, and cultures, broadening our understanding of the world around us.For example, imagine you are in a meeting with a diverse group of colleagues. By actively listening to their viewpoints, you not only gain valuable information but also demonstrate respect for their unique backgrounds. This can lead to more innovative ideas and a more inclusive work environment. Moreover, listening is a key component of effective leadership. A leader who listens to their team members is more likely to inspire confidence and create a positive work culture. When employees feel that their voices are heard, they are more motivated to contribute their best efforts. So, how can we cultivate the art of listening? Here are a few tips:1. Be fully present: Put away distractions such as phones and laptops, and focus on the speaker.2. Show interest: Nod, maintain eye contact, and use encouraging body language to indicate that you are engaged.3. Avoid interrupting: Let the speaker finish their point before you respond.4. Ask questions: Clarify your understanding and show that you are interested in their perspective.5. Reflect and summarize: Paraphrase what has been said to ensure you have understood the message. In conclusion, the power of listening should not be underestimated. It is a vital skill that can transform our interactions, build stronger relationships, and enhance our leadership abilities. By practicing effective listening, we can create a more empathetic, inclusive, and productive world.Thank you for your attention. I encourage you to take a moment toreflect on your own listening habits and consider how you can incorporate these practices into your daily life. Together, we can harness the power of listening to make a positive impact on those around us.Thank you.。

Here are two of them.Reductive listening is listening “for.” It reduces everything down to what's relevant and it discards everything that's not relevant.Men typically listen reductively. So he's saying, “I've got this problem.” He's saying, “Here's your solution. Thanks very much.Next.” That's the way we talk, right guys? Expansive listening, on the other hand, is listening “with,” not listening “for.” It's got no destination in mind. It's just enjoying the journey.Women typically listen expansively. If you look at these two, eye contact, facing each other, possibly both talking at the same time.Men, if you get nothing else out of this talk, practice expansive listening, and you can transform your relationships.

The Power of ListeningListening is a fundamental skill that is often overlooked in our fast-paced, technology-driven world. However, the power of listening cannot be overstated. It is a crucial component of effective communication, empathy, and personal growth.Firstly, listening is essential for effective communication. When we actively listen to others, we demonstrate respect, understanding, and a genuine interest in their thoughts and perspectives. This, in turn, fosters a more open and productive dialogue, as individuals feel heard and valued. Effective listening also helps to prevent misunderstandings and conflicts, as it allows us to clarify information and ensure that we have accurately interpreted the message being conveyed. Moreover, listening is a crucial aspect of empathy. By actively listening to others, we can better understandtheir experiences, emotions, and needs. This understanding enables us to respond with compassion and support, ratherthan simply reacting or offering unsolicited advice. Empathetic listening can be particularly valuable in personal relationships, as it helps to build trust, deepen connections, and foster more meaningful exchanges.Furthermore, the power of listening extends to personal growth and self-awareness. When we listen to ourselves, we can gain valuable insights into our own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This self-reflection can lead to a deeper understanding of our motivations, strengths, and areas for improvement. By cultivating the habit of self-listening, we can become more attuned to our inner voices and make more informed decisions that align with our values and goals. In addition, the act of listening can have a profound impact on the world around us. When we listen to the experiences and perspectives of others, particularly those from diverse backgrounds or marginalized communities, we can gain a more nuanced understanding of complex social and political issues. This knowledge can then inform our actions and advocacy, leading to more inclusive and equitable solutions. However, despite the clear benefits of listening, it is a skill that many people struggle to develop. In our fast-paced, technology-driven world, we are often bombarded with distractions and tempted to multitask, which can make it challenging to truly focus on and engage with others. Additionally, our own biases, preconceptions, and personal agendas can sometimes prevent us from listening with an open mind and heart. To cultivate the power of listening, it is essential to practice mindfulness, empathy, and a genuine curiosity about the experiences and perspectives of others. This may involve setting aside dedicated time for focused listening, actively suspending our own judgments and assumptions, and asking thoughtful questions to deepen our understanding. By making listening a priority, we can not only improve our personal and professional relationships but also contribute to a more compassionate and inclusive world. In conclusion, the power of listening is a fundamental and often overlooked skill that can have a profound impact on our lives and the world around us. By embracing the art of listening, we can become better communicators, moreempathetic individuals, and more self-aware and purposeful human beings. It is a skill worth cultivating, as the benefits it can bring are truly immeasurable.

Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening. It is a great honor to stand before you today and share with you a message that I believe is crucial to our personal growth, our relationships, and our collective future. The message I want to convey is simple yet profound: the power of listening. In a world that is increasingly noisy, distractions are everywhere. We are bombarded with information, notifications, and endless chatter. In this whirlwind, the art of listening often takes a backseat. However, I stand before you today to remind us all of the transformative power that lies in the act of truly listening.Listening is not just about the ears receiving sounds; it is about the heart receiving messages. It is about understanding not just the words spoken, but the emotions, intentions, and experiences behind them. When we listen, we open ourselves up to new perspectives, ideas, and connections that can enrich our lives in ways we never imagined.Let us explore the myriad benefits of listening:1. Enhanced Relationships: Listening is the cornerstone of any strong relationship. When we listen to our friends, family, and colleagues, we show them that their thoughts and feelings matter. This mutual respect and understanding can foster deeper connections and build trust.2. Improved Communication: Active listening is a skill that can revolutionize our communication. By truly hearing what others have to say, we can respond more thoughtfully and effectively. This leads to clearer conversations, fewer misunderstandings, and more productive interactions.3. Personal Growth: Listening is a tool for self-improvement. When we listen to the advice of others, we can gain insights that help us grow both personally and professionally. It is through listening that we can learn from our mistakes, adapt, and evolve.4. Conflict Resolution: In times of conflict, listening can be a powerful mediator. By giving each party the opportunity to be heard, wecan uncover the root causes of the problem and work towards a mutually acceptable solution.5. Empathy and Compassion: True listening requires empathy. When we listen with an open heart, we can understand the struggles and joys of others. This empathy leads to compassion, and in turn, to a more compassionate and understanding world. Now, let us delve deeper into the art of listening:The First Step: PresenceThe first and most important aspect of listening is presence. It means being fully engaged in the moment, giving our undivided attention to the speaker. This means putting away distractions, such as our phones or other devices, and focusing on the person in front of us.The Second Step: Active ListeningActive listening involves not just hearing the words, but also paying attention to the tone, body language, and emotions of the speaker. It requires us to ask clarifying questions, summarize what has been said, and respond with empathy. The Third Step: Non-Judgmental AttitudeA non-judgmental attitude is crucial for effective listening. It means setting aside our preconceived notions and biases, and truly trying to understand the perspective of the other person. This does not mean we have to agree with them, but it does mean we respect their right to have a different viewpoint. The Fourth Step: Reflective ListeningReflective listening is a technique where we repeat back what we have heard to ensure we have understood the speaker. This not only confirms our understanding but also shows the speaker that we value their thoughts and feelings. In conclusion, the power of listening is immense. It has the potential to transform our lives, our relationships, and our world. By practicingthe art of listening, we can become better communicators, more empathetic individuals, and more effective problem solvers. As we go about our daily lives, let us remember the words of the great philosopher Confucius: "To listen effectively, one must be silent enough to hear." Let us strive to be silent enough, to listen deeply, and to connect meaningfully with those around us.In the spirit of listening, I invite you to take a moment to reflect on your own listening habits. Ask yourself: Am I truly present when I listen? Do I actively engage with the speaker? Do I approach conversations with an open mind? By answering these questions honestly, we can embark on a journey of growth and transformation.Let us commit to becoming better listeners, not just today, but every day. Let us use our ears not just to hear, but to understand, to connect, and to grow. Together, we can create a world where listening is valued, respected, and practiced by all.Thank you for your attention. May we all embrace the power of listening and make a positive impact on the world around us.God bless.。

The Power of ListeningLadies and Gentlemen,Today, I stand here to discuss a topic that is often overlooked in our fast-paced, talk-intensive world - the power of listening.Listening is often considered a passive activity, something we do when others are speaking. However, in reality, listening is an active process that requires concentration, empathy, and understanding. It is a two-way communication skill that involves not just hearing the words but also comprehending the intent, emotions, and perspectives of the speaker. The importance of listening cannot be overstated. It is the foundation of effective communication. When we listen actively, we show respect to the speaker, create a sense of connection, and foster understanding. Listening helps us to gather information, learn new things, and make informed decisions. It also enhances our emotional intelligence, allowing us to empathize with others and build stronger relationships. In today's world, where information is constantly flowing and people are constantly talking, the ability to listen well has become even more crucial. With the advent of social media and other digital platforms, people often find themselves淹没在 a barrage of opinions and viewpoints. It's easy to get carried away by the noise and forget to listen. However, it is in these noisy times that the value of listening stands out.Listening requires patience and practice. It involves setting aside our own opinions and perspectives to truly understand what the other person is saying. It means being present, engaged, and responsive. It's about asking questions, clarifying doubts, and showing empathy towards the speaker's experiences and feelings. As we move forward in our lives and careers, let us remember the power of listening. Let us make it a habit to actively listen to others, to understand their perspectives, and to respond with empathy and respect. By doing so, we not only improve our communication skills but also create deeper connections and stronger relationships.Thank you for listening.

1Good afternoon, everyone! The topic of my speech today is “Being a Good Listener”.Good listening can always show respect, promote understanding, and improve interpersonal relationship. Many people suggest that parents should listen more to their children, so they will understand them better, and find it easy to narrow the generation gap; teachers should listen more to their students, then they can meet their needs better, and place themselves in a good relationship with their students; students should listen more to their classmates, thus they will help and learn from each other, and a friendship is likely to be formed. What I want to stress is that each of us should listen more to others. Show your respect and never stop others till they finish their talk; show you are interested by a supportive silence or a knowing smile; be open-minded to different opinions even though you don’t like them. In a word, good listening can really enable us to get closer to each other.Thank you for your listening! 2I believe listening is powerful Medicine.Studies have shown it takes a physician about 18 seconds to interrupt a patient after he begins talking. It was Sunday. I had one last patient to see. I approached herroom in a hurry and stood at the doorway. She was an older woman sitting at the edge of the bed struggling to put socks on her swollen feet. I crossed the threshold spoke quickly to the nurse scanned her chart noting she was in stable condition. I was almost in the clear.I leaned on the bedrail looking down at her. She asked if I could help put on her socks. Instead I launched into a monologue that went something like this: "How are you feeling? Your sugars and blood pressure were high but they're better today. The nurse mentioned you're anxious to see your son who's visiting you today. It's nice to have family visit from far away. I bet you really look forward to seeing him."She stopped me with a stern authoritative voice. "Sit down doctor. This is my story not your story."I was surprised and embarrassed. I sat down. I helped her with the socks. She began to tell me that her only son lived around the corner from her but she had not seen him in five years. She believed that the stress of this contributed greatly to her health problems. After hearing her story and putting on her socks I asked if there was anything else I could do for her. She shook her head no and smiled. All she wanted me to do was to listen. Each story is different. Some are detailed; others are vague. Some have a beginning middle and end. Others wander without a clear conclusion. Some are true; others not. Yet all those things do not really matter. What matters to the storyteller is that the story is heard — without interruption assumption or judgment.Listening to someone's story costs less than expensive diagnostic testing but is key to healing and diagnosis.I often thought of what that woman taught me and I reminded myself of the importance of stopping sitting down andtruly listening. And not long after in an unexpected twist I became the patient with a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis at age 31. Now 20 years later I sit all the time — in a wheelchair. For as long as I could I continued to see patients from my chair but I had to resign when my hands were affected. I still teach med students and other health care professionals but now from the perspective of physician and patient.I tell them I believe in the power of listening. I tell them I know firsthand that immeasurable healing takes place within me when someone stops sits down and listens to my story. 3It is quite imporLant to be a good listener. Effective listening is more than simply avoiding the bad habit of interrupting others while they are speaking. It's being content to listen to the entire thought of someone rather than waiting impatiently for your chance to respond.Slowing down your responses and becoming a better listener aids you in becoming a more amiable person. As you wait for the person you are communicating with to finish, as you simply listen more intently to what is being said, you will feel more relaxed, and so will the people you are talking to. Not only will being a better listener make you a more patient person, but it will also improve your relationship with others because everyone loves to talk to someone who truly listens to what they are saying. It is quite easy for you to be a better listener. As long as you for get yourself and imagine yourself in the speaker's experience to understand the emotion behind the words, and then give your appropriate responses slowly, you will be an endeared listener. 4Making my voice heardGood morning, ladies and gentlemen. I am a student from civil engineering class X.My name is S, the title of my speech is "making my voice heard".For a shy boy, standing here is not easy, if I do not break out in a cold sweat or my legs are not shaking at this moment, it must be your lovely touched me.Many years ago, in an afternoon a snotty little boy nap, he got out of bed, He had a dream that can't tell anyone. In the dream, he became a writer, through books, the whole world hear his voice. People read about his life, they experienced his suffering, which relieved their wounded heart. Many years later, the little boy had grown up, the Youth Suffering marked on his body. Is his dream still in, and what path has he decide to follow? As you might have guessed, the little boy is me. Whenever I am aware of my unique and different, I would want to do something special, to serve for the people. I realized, before me, in the past and future time, no one will like me, because I am the whole history and the endless ocean of the only one, I must do something different career. You are a miracle, said my parents. In all the years that have passed, there has never been another child like you, your legs, your arms, your clever fingers and the way you move. From infant to young adult, time flies and I have grown up. But the only thing that remains shining is my belief, that I am different from anybody else, that no one can ever replace me in the world, that one day I will make my voice heard.I will strive to be a pioneer, a scholar, a kind of people who, even facing adversity, will continue to embrace life and walk fearlessly towards the challenge.I have been to the orphan to play with those desertedchildren. I tell them stories and play with them on the lawn. I love to see them running freely here and there, wearing the innocent smile on their faces. When I told them a fairy tale they asked me, “Why the prince and princess always live a happy life in the end?” “Because that is in the fairy tale”,I explained. "We can imagine an ideal world, full of sweetness and happiness, but it is just a dream. Only through the efforts, constantly chasing, dreams can come true.Life is not always satisfactory, different from the real story, you must adhere to, so to be successful." The nurses there said to me, “Thank you. You not only accompany them and tell them stories, but also explain something that we dare not talk with them about They will know the happiness and sorrow of the world sooner or later. It doesn’t matter who tells them about that. What does matter is how they perform to face their life with bravery and passion. And I am glad that they listen to my words and they will gradually make out what I mean. Now I'm standing in the front of the room, I don't know how far is the distance to the dream, but I will stick to it. I try to express myself to gain your support. I dream of being a Shakespear, a Balzac any celebrity that is well known to the world. As Samuel Erman once wrote in his poem: “Youth is not a time of life. It's a state of mind. It's not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. It's a matter of the will, a quality of imagination, a vigor of emotion. It's the freshness of the deep spring of life.” It doesn't matter what we've been through, where we come from, who our parents are, nor our social or economic status. The important thing is that you must adhere to, and then to succeed, then the world know.I and my heart will be still unique. I will be brave. I will striveto increase my own knowledge and wisdom .then, one day, I will making my voice heard. That’s my all speech. Thank you.学会倾听的英语演讲稿5Some people say: "the most beautiful flowers because it is bright." Someone said: "the most beautiful rain because it moist". Ladies and gentlemen,Good evening. It is a great pleasure to stand before you today to talk about a crucial skill that is often overlooked but is essential in our lives: the art of listening. In the context of English speeches, understanding how to listen effectively can transform not only the way we perceive information but also how we communicate and engage with others.Firstly, let us acknowledge that the ability to listen is a fundamental aspect of human interaction. When we listen, we not only receive information but also show respect and interest in the speaker. In English speeches, this respect is crucial as it allows the speaker to feel valued and encourages them to share their ideas more openly. To be a good listener during an English speech, one must first be present. This means physically being in the room and mentally focusing on the speaker. Often, we find ourselves distracted by our thoughts, our phones, or even the discomfort of sitting for an extended period. However, to truly grasp the essence of the speech, one must be fully engaged.Active listening is another key element. This involves not just hearing the words but also understanding the message behind them. We must pay attention to the tone, the choice of words, and the body language of the speaker. These non-verbal cues can provide additional context and help us interpret the speaker's true intentions. One effective technique to enhance our listening skills is to summarize what we have heard. This can be done either mentally or aloud. By summarizing, we reinforce our understanding and ensure that we have not missed any critical points. Additionally, summarizing can help us stay focused, as we are constantly reminded of the speaker's main ideas.Another important aspect of listening is to be open-minded. We must be willing to consider different perspectives and ideas, even if they challenge our own beliefs. In English speeches, diversity of thought isoften celebrated, and as listeners, we have the opportunity to learn from these varied viewpoints.Furthermore, it is essential to avoid interrupting the speaker. Interrupting not only disrupts the flow of the speech but also sends a message of disrespect. Instead, we should wait for the speaker to finish their point before we respond or ask questions. This demonstrates our patience and our genuine interest in what the speaker has to say.In addition to these skills, we should also be empathetic listeners. Empathy allows us to connect with the speaker on a deeper level, understanding their emotions and experiences. This connection can make the speech more impactful and memorable. In conclusion, the art of listening during English speeches is a valuable skill that can enhance our communication and personal growth. By being present, active, open-minded, patient, and empathetic, we can fully appreciate the message being conveyed and engage more effectively with the speaker and the content of the speech.Thank you for your attention, and I hope that we can all strive to become better listeners, not just in English speeches but in all aspects of our lives. Listening is not just about hearing words; it is about understanding the world around us and the people we share it with.Goodnight.。

listening is an active skill. whereas hearing is passive, listening is something that we have to work at. its a
relationship with sound. and yet its a skill that none of us are taught. for example, have you ever considered that there are listening positions, places you can listen from? here are two of them. reductive listening is listening for. it reduces
everything down to whats relevant and it discards everything thats not relevant. men typically listen reductively. so hes saying, ive got this problem. hes saying, heres your solution. thanks very much. next. thats the way we talk, right guys? expansive listening, on the other hand, is listening with, not listening for. its got no destination in mind. its just enjoying the journey. women typically listen expansively. if you look at these two, eye contact, facing each other,
possibly both talking at the same time. men, if you get nothing else out of this talk, practice expansive listening, and you can transform your relationships.

and four modalities where you need to take some action and get involved. first of all, listen consciously. i hope that after this talk youll be doing that. its a whole new dimension to your life and its wonderful to have that dimension. secondly, get in touch with making some sound. create sound. the voiceis the instrument we all play, and yet how many of us are trained in using our voice? get trained. learn to sing. learn to play an instrument. musicians have bigger brains. its true. you can do this in groups as well. its a fantastic antidote to schizophonia. to make music and sound in a group of people,
whichever style you enjoy particularly. and lets take a
stewarding role for the sound around us. protect your ears? yes,
absolutely. design soundscapes to be beautiful around you at home and at work. and lets start to speak up when people are assailing us with the noise that i played you early on.
