The mid autumn festival is a traditional festival of China, which falls on the fifteenth of the eighth month of Chinese lunar calendar. It is to celebrate the harvest of a year and for the family to reunite. To some extent, it is like Thanks- giving day in western countries. People are grateful because their food is gathered for the winter and the agricultural work is over. Family members usually get together and offer sacrifices to the moon. when the moon arises, people will sit in the yard，admiring the full moon, enjoying delicious moon-cakes and fruit, talking about a year’s harvest, Looking back to the past and looking into the future. It is a time of pleasure, happiness and reunion.
春节The Spring Festival
春节是中国最重要的节日，它是为了庆祝农历新年，节日通常开始于除夕夜the eve of the lunar New Year ，结束于农历正月十五。

正月十五也被称作元宵节。

在春节前，人们通常要彻底的打扫卫生。

购物并准备许多美食。

人们贴春联couplets挂红灯笼求得好运。

在除夕夜，家人们团聚在一起吃大餐。

饺子，臊子面minced noodles和鱼是最传统的食物，他们代表了财富长寿和富足abundance 。

孩子们最喜欢春节了，因为他们可以吃美食，穿新衣，放鞭炮，他们还能从长辈那里得到压岁钱。

春节大约持续15天，在节日期间人们聚在一起吃喝玩乐。

The Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. It’s to celebrate the lunar calendar’s New Year. The festiva l actually begins on the eve of the lunar New Year and ends on the 15th day of the first month of the lunar calendar, which is called the Lantern Festival. Before the festival, people usually give their houses a thorough cleaning, do a lot of shopping and prepare a lot of delicious food. People put New Year couplets on the wall and hang red lantern for good fortune. On the New Year’s Eve, families get together and have a big meal. Dumplings, minced noodles and fish are the most traditional food. They stand for treasure, long life and abundance. Children like the festival best, because they can have delicious food, wear new clothes,
set off firecrackers. They can also get gift/lucky money in red packets from elders. The Spring Festival lasts about 15 days long. During the festival, People get together to eat, drink, and have fun with each other. The festival let people enjoy life and have a good rest.
The lively atmosphere not only fills every household, but fills streets and lanes.
A series of activities such as lion dancing, dragon dancing, lantern shows, land boat dancing and temple fairs are held for days. The Spring Festival then comes to an end when the Lantern Festival is finished.。
