A Land of Mountains and Ice Sarek’s mountains used to be covered by vast sheets of ice. Around 9,000 years ago, this ice melted, leaving behind about 100 glaciers. Soon after, reindeer began to arrive. Following the reindeer were the Sami people, who made this territory their home. 教材分析:
本单元是剧本The Million Pound Bank Note中第一幕的第三场。

富商兄弟俩Roderick和Oliver打赌把一张百万英镑钞票给一个一无所有,诚实可靠的穷人,想看看会发生什么事。

最后他们物色到Henry Adams。

为了让学生从图、文、声、像等多种形式感受戏剧,我对教材进行删减和整合,改变传统阅读课照本宣科的模式为视听说教学法,让学生观看带有英文原文的视频,感受原汁原味的语言材料。

同时抢答问题,小组讨论等不同任务,以化解难点突出重点。

学情分析:
高一的学生学习主动性强,已初步具备用英语获取信息、处理信息、分析问题和解决问题的综合能力。

但缺少对外国作品的了解,对文化类的阅读文章的欣赏力和深度挖掘文章的能力有所欠缺。

所以作为英语老师要在培养学生阅读能力中提高文化素养,让每个人体验文学的乐趣和英语阅读的快乐

Introduce some writers and Mark Twain
设计意图:提前一天把学生分成八人一组,要求学生分工合作利用网络收集Mark Twain 的资料。

教学反思:
本堂课总体还是比较成功,较好的完成了预期的教学目标,通过本课的学习,学生对马克吐温的作品及人物背景也有了一定的了解,阅读能力也有了一定的提升。

因为学生基础薄弱,加上课堂的时间有限,所以给学生讨论的时间较少,在接下来的教学中,我会逐渐的改进,让每个学生都能得到参与其中,逐步提高听说读写的能力。

总之,我想说的是,路漫漫其修远兮,吾将上下而求索。
