This is due largely due to the fact in their own countries, they did not have opportunities to improve their lives nor did they have freedom to achieve success by coming to new world they believe everything becomes possible. The initial immigrants take the mayflower reach the new world. They were dissatisfied with their lives in European. Some of them sought for better life. Some of them sought for religion freedom. They were full of hopes.

In fact all these beliefs derived from the experience of westward movement during the settlement. In America both self-reliance and cooperative social behavior were needed because the process of individuals and the progress of society were mutually beneficial indeed synonymous.
An effort to please god and gain peace of mind through obedience to his moral law by doing good to man. Born again in the sprit does require an effort to reform one’s bad conduct. Americans believe, whether realistically or imaginary, America is a chosen country. In the declaration of independence, all men are created equal and endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights. Until today the belie of god gave men the same birthright has remained unchanged.
