Requests
Guiding principle: Do not hesitate to make a report if it is reasonable. Guidelines
Make the request specific, using a polite tone. Explain convincingly the reason for the request. Let the recipient know why you came to him/her for help. Mention it if there is something in return.
Invitations
Guiding principle: It must be warm and express an honest wish for acceptance. Guidelines: Mention the sender of the invitation and its purpose in the very first sentence. State when, where and what for the event is scheduled to take place. Ask the person to tell you whether he/she will accept the invitation or express hope that he/she will accept.
