Application for Admission to Postgraduate Studies (2013-2014)

NOTE S FOR APPLICANTS (Internet Application)

The following notes are NOT applicable to the following programmes:

-Faculty of Business Administration (Executive MBA, Executive MBA (Putonghua class), Executive Master of Professional Accountancy (in Shanghai), Full-time MBA, JD/MBA Double Degree Programme, MBA (Evening Mode), MBA (Weekend Mode), MBA in Finance (in Beijing and Shenzhen), MBA in Health Care, MSc in Finance, OneMBA Global Executive MBA Programme)

-Faculty of Education (Postgraduate Diploma in Education, Postgraduate Diploma in Education(Primary) )

-Faculty of Engineering (Executive MSc in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (in Shenzhen) only)

-Faculty of Social Science (MA in Psychology Counselling and Psychotherapy, MSc in Economics (in Shenzhen) )

-Faculty of Law (PCLL only)

Applicants for the above programmes should refer to the corresponding programme website for details.

1.Application Deadline

Different programmes have different application deadlines. Please refer to the Postgraduate Prospectus or application deadlines for details.

2. Submission of Application Form

Applicants should provide true, accurate and complete information in support of their applications. Any misrepresentation will result in disqualification of their applications and subsequent enrolments in the University.

(i) For all applications

a.Read carefully these Notes for Applicants.

b.Choose “Apply Now”. Select the Faculty and then the programme apply for and press the “Application

Form” button at the bottom.

plete the application form and press the “Submit” button. Y ou will see an acknowledgement

receipt if the submission is accepted. Print it for future reference and mark down the Application No.

printed on the top right hand corner. If you see any error message(s), please enter the required

information according to the instructions.

d.Download forms for supporting documents. All applicants MUS T print 2 “Confidential

Recommendation” and “Transcript Submission Covering Sheet” for further actions. Print “Payment

V oucher” only if you choose to pay by bank draft/cheque.

e.Submit a separate application form along with the supporting documents for each programme.

(ii) For applications of Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS)

a.Go to RGC website .hk/hkpfs/apply.html to submit an initial application and get a

HKPFS reference number.

b.Read carefully these Notes for Applicants.

plete the application form and press the “Submit” button. Y ou will see an acknowledgement

receipt if the submission is accepted. Print it for future reference and mark down the Application No.

printed on the top right hand corner. If you see any error message(s), please enter the required

information according to the instructions.

d.Download forms for supporting documents. All applicants M UST print 2 “Referee’s Report” and

“Transcript Submission Covering Sheet” for further actions. Print “Payment V oucher” only if you

choose to pay by bank draft/cheque.

e.Submit a separate application form along with the supporting documents for each programme.
