一、教材分析
Book 6 Module 1 Unit 1 I want a hot dog,please.的语言功能是在快餐店点餐;学习任务为:学习目标语句“What do you want? I want a hot dog, please. How much is it? It’s thirteen dollars and twenty-five cents.”运用目标为能运用所学的语言进行点餐。

二、学情分析
本课的教学对象是六年级学生,他们的英语知识已经有了一定的积累,英语听说读写方面的能力有了一定的基础,具备了初步运用英语做事的能力。

而且学生在合作学习以及在真实的任务中运用所学语言进行交际的能力等方面都较低年级时有了很大提升。

由于本课的语言特点适合为学生创设联系实际的生活化的语言环境,因此在教授新课时,应为学生创设真实的应用环境,提高学生的语言运用能力,让学生在实践中获取新知,应用新知。
