In junior high school, especially when they are in the first year of junior high school, some students may find that they have obvious difficulties in learning English, such as poor grades or weak understanding and application ability. In the face of such challenges, how to effectively supplement the foundation of English and improve the level of English? Here we will explore this issue through practical methods and enlightening stories.Let's start with a real case. Xiao Wang, a freshman in junior high school, felt very difficult when he first came into contact with junior high school English. his reading comprehension was insufficient, the effect of memorizing words was poor, and his scores in each exam made him feel stressed. However, he did not choose to give up, but took a series of targeted and persistent actions.Xiao Wang realized that mastering vocabulary is the foundation of English learning. Instead of relying on rote memorization, he uses "contextual memory" to understand and memorize words combined with text content, sample sentences and daily life scenes. Every day he sets a certain number of new words and ensures that they are used repeatedly in different situations to deepen his impression. In order to improve his reading comprehension, Xiao Wang began to read a variety of primary English books, such as simple English novels, popular science articles and interesting stories. At the same time, he also uses exercises from authoritative textbooks such as New concept English to exercise his understanding of the gist and details of the article. He also actively participated in the school's English corner activities to discuss reading materials and exchange experiences with his classmates.Xiao Wang has not ignored the importance of listening and speaking training. He uses online resources, such as the Khan Institute, Himalayas and other platforms of English listening courses, to listen to English news, short plays or dialogue every day, imitate pronunciation and cultivate a sense of language. In addition, he also took the initiative to participate in the English speech contest to improve his oral expression ability through practical practice. In terms of professional guidance, Xiao Wang consulted the school's English teachers and referred to the views of education experts. For example, the "input hypothesis" put forward by Stephen Krashen, a famous linguist, emphasizes the importance of extensive exposure to the target language for second language acquisition. Accordingly, Xiao Wang adjusted his learning strategy to immerse himself in the English environment as much as possible to make learning more natural and interesting. After a period of efforts, Xiao Wang's English performance has improved significantly, and his progress has fully proved that proper methods and perseverance are the key to improving English learning. Therefore, for students with a weak English foundation in the first year of junior high school, they might as well learn from Xiao Wang's practice, pay attention to the practicality of vocabulary accumulation, strengthen the practical practice of reading comprehension, and improve their listening and speaking ability in an all-round way. and be good at adopting expert advice and making use of effective resources to gradually establish a solid English foundation and move to a higher level of learning. There is no need to rush for success, it is important to accumulate bit by bit and make continuous efforts, as the old English proverb goes, "Rome was not built in a day."

It is three and a half kilometers wide in some places. It is full of mosquitoes. The Niger is a river in West Africa. It is a great river, three and a half kilometers wide in some places. It is full of mosquitoes and crocodiles. It is a very dangerous river. Two men wanted to go down the Niger in a canoe. Everyone thought they were mad. In the end, the two men set out in their canoe. They had not gone far when they saw a young man standing on a rock in the middle of the river. He was waving his shirt to them. The men in the canoe could not understand what he was shouting. They decided it was too dangerous to stop. They passed the young man. Two days later, they met him again in a town. The young man was a crocodile hunter. He was very surprised to see them. 'You are lucky to be alive,' he said.Part Two:Mrs. Harris complains to her husband about their French neighbours. Their son is polite and hard-working. Their daughter is polite and good at games. The husband is better than the French husband!'Mike and Jeanne always get better marks than our Nancy. Their son is polite and hard-working. Their daughter is polite and good at games. And Jeanne's husband is better than you,' said Mrs. Harris to her husband.Kevin Harris said nothing. He was not going to argue with his wife. Just before the Harrises set out for the station, young Mike came in. 'Hello, Mr. Harris,' he said. 'Could you give this envelope to your son? It's a little present from Jeanne and me.''Good heavens! What has Jeanne been doing now?' exclaimed Mrs. Harris when she saw the envelope. The envelope was open. There was a 100-pound note inside. Mrs. Harris was speechless. 'What has got into that woman?' she cried. 'She knows perfectly well Nancy can't afford to pay anyone a hundred pounds!'The Harrises went to the station. Young Mike had gone to work, but his sister and father came to see them off. Kevin Harris shook hands warmly with his French neighbour. As the train left the station, Mike and his father shouted goodbye. Schoolboy Mike had a 100-pound note in his hand. 'Do you like the present?' he shouted 'Don't spend it all at once!'The Harrises laughed. Kevin Harris's wife was still angry.'Why did Jeanne give us this money? She knows it puts us in an impossible position!'Kevin Harris laughed too. 'Mike was making a fool of us!' he said. 'There's no note in the envelope. It's just a piece of newspaper.'The Harrises stood on the platform. They were still laughing when the train disappeared in the distance.。

比如“I am running”,“I am h iding”,“I am hungry”等等,都可以用动作来表示。
