高德中学交流活动欢迎致辞

尊敬的来宾，老师们，同学们，早上好。

Good morning. Dear Nancy and Adam, dear teachers and students,

首先，我谨代表外国语中学的师生们向美国高德中学的师生访问团的到来表示热烈的欢迎。

First of all, on behalf of our teachers and students, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our guests---- they are two teachers and ten students from Gould Academy, the United States.

高德中学以为大学输送学术型人才为办学使命，培养有独立思维能力，有道德的人。而外国语中学也同样致力于培养德智体美全面发展的学生。在培养人才方面，两所学校有着同样的使命。

Gould aims to prepare academically motivated students for college and help them become independent-minded and ethical citizens. I think our two schools share similar missions. Quanzhou Foreign Language Middle School pays great attention to students’ academic performance and their moral character.

在此之前，我们已经成功举办了两次交流活动。我们获益良多。而今，南希老师和亚当老师带着他们的经验，带着他们的热情再次来到了泉州外国语中学。我们对此次的交流充满期待。参加本次交流的还有十位高德的优秀学生，他们将和我们的学生一起学习，并将亲身体验中国的家庭文化。

This is the third time we get together to have the exchange project. Nancy and Adam bring their passion and knowledge and we are eager to learn and share as well. As for the ten students, they will stay at our students’ homes to experience Chinese family life and study with us in our school.

我希望，在接下来的一周里，我们两所学校的师生们能够积极参与，积极交流，以增加彼此的了解，加深友谊。从而促进两所学校乃至两个国家的教育与文化交流。

I hope that, in the following week, the two sides can be deeply involved in the various exchange activities, and actively enhance mutual understanding and friendship between each other so that we can make a great contribution to promoting educational and cultural exchanges of the two schools and two countries!
