三、教学重难点：教学重点：1. 巩固掌握一些国家及代表性建筑，国家及城市的方位，重点了解美国，英国和加拿大的一些有关常识以及各个国家热衷的体育运动。

2. 熟练掌握功能句，在恰当语境中熟练运用，提高综合运用能力。

教学难点：复述课文对话，并根据图片进行语言描述。

四、教具准备：录音机、磁带、单词卡片、课件等。

五、教学过程：（一）Warming up活动一：头脑风暴教师让学生说出国名，地名，方位名词，人称代词，物主代词。

T: Can you say some names of country? For example: China, Japan…S: America, Canada, Australia…T: Some names of cities? Beijing, New York…S: London，Ottawa，Berlin, Paris, Canberra, Los Angeles, Chicago, SydneyT: The same group as I, you... my, your... east,...设计意图：通过复习各类单词，使学生们对本单元的知识进行回顾，为下面的活动做铺垫。

提问5、6两个单元短语，随机提问，英译汉，汉译英，补全短语等形式。

（二）Presentation and practice活动二：Do you understand? (Tick or cross)1. 让学生看图，根据图片用所学过的知识进行语言描述。

教师出示单词，让学生认读，并讨论五个元音字母在上下两排中分别发什么音，总结发音规律。

What are Lingling’s pets? Fish设计意图：通过平时的语音学习，学生已经有了一定的积累，先让学生自己认读总结发音规律，可以加深印象。

活动四：Can you tell?1．让学生朗读第5、6单元课文对话，引导学生进行复述。
