巴布亚新几内亚的行政区(上)很全面人文地理2022-08-16 发表于广东巴布亚新几内亚PapuaNew Guinea,是在南太平洋西部,大洋洲第二大国,属英联邦成员国,位于9°30′S147°07′E,包括新几内亚岛东半部及附近俾斯麦群岛、布干维尔岛等共约600余个大小岛屿。

由巴布亚和新几内亚两部分组成,面积462,840平方公里(178,703平方英里),南部为平原和低地,中部是中央山系,北部山岭走向与山系平行,由几个单独的山岭组成。

海拔1000米以上属山地气候,其余海拔较低地区属热带雨林气候。

5~10月为旱季,11~4月为雨季,沿海地区平均温度21.1~32.2℃,山地比沿海低5~6℃。

年平均降水量2,500毫米。

矿藏丰富,铜储量1,200万吨,黄金储量1,756吨,铜金共生矿储量约4亿吨,产量分别列世界第11位和第13位。

此外还有富金矿、铬、镍、铝矾土、海底天然气和石油等资源。

库土布和戈贝两大油田储量即达4亿桶。
