Introduction
A rock band is a group of people who perform instrumental（器乐的） or vocal（声乐的） music. In each musical style different norms（规范） have developed for the sizes and composition of different ensembles（合奏）, and for the repertoire（曲目） of songs or musical works that these ensembles perform.

Drums
The drum is a member of the percussion group of musical instruments, technically classified as the membranous（膜状物）.Drums consist of at least one membrane, called a drumhead or drum skin, that is stretched over a shell and struck, either directly with the player‘s hands, or with a drumstick, to produce sound. There is usually a “resonance（共鸣） head” on the underside of the drum. Other techniques have been used to cause drums to make sound, such as the thumb roll. Drums are the world’s oldest and most ubiquitous （无处不在的）musical instruments, and the basic design has remained virtually unchanged for thousands of years.

Bass guitar
The bass guitar(also called electric bass,or simply bass） is a stringed instrument played primarily with the fingers or thumb (by plucking（拨）, slapping, popping, tapping, or thumping（锤击）), or by using a plectrum（拨片）. The bass guitar is a transposing （变调）instrument, as it is notated in bass clef（谱 子） an octave（八度音阶） higher than it sounds (as is the double bass) to avoid excessive（过度） ledger（固定的） lines. Like the electric guitar, the electric bass guitar is plugged into an amplifier（放大 器） and speaker for live performances.

Rhythm guitar is the use of a guitar to provide rhythmic chordal accompaniment for a singer or other instruments in a musical ensemble. In ensembles or “bands” playing within the acoustic（声学的）, country, blues, rock or metal genres（流派）, a guitarist playing the rhythm part of a composition supports the melodic lines and solos played on the lead instrument or instruments, be they string, brass, wind, keyboard or even percussion（打击乐） instruments, or simply the human voice.

Lead guitar is a guitar part which plays melody lines （旋律线）, instrumental fill passages, guitar solos （独奏） ,and occasionally,some riffs（反复乐节 ） within a song structure. The lead is the featured guitar, which usually plays single-note-based（单音） lines .In rock, heavy metal, blues, jazz, punk, fusion （混合型）, some pop, and other music styles, lead guitar lines are usually supported by a second guitarist who plays rhythm guitar, which consists of accompaniment（伴奏） chords（和弦） and riffs, often played with a distortion（失真） effect.

Lead vocal
The lead vocalist (or lead singer) is the member of a band who sings the main vocal portions（部分） of a song. Lead vocalists may also play one or more instruments. They are sometimes referred to as the frontman or frontwoman, and as such, are usually considered to be the "leader" of the groups they perform in, often the spokespersons in interviews and before the public. On some occasions, the frontman of the band is someone other than the lead vocalist
