对英语作文的反思
素质教育就是用科学的手段、方法,遵循教育教学规律,充分发挥受教育者的天赋,对受教育者进行多方面的培养。

我认为:英语素质是指学生在听、说、读、写等各方面的素质,即英语实用能力。

英语写作以对英语词汇、语法及句型结构的熟练掌握为基础,它能真实地反映出学生在较长一段时间内的外语学习状况。

因此写作能力的培养是高中英语教学的重要任务之一。

一、书面表达中的典型错误
前段时间给学生布置了一篇作文,内容是:假定你是李华。

David是你的美国笔友,他对中国鼓励使用环保购物袋很感兴趣,来信向你询问此事。

请你给他写封信,主要内容如下:(1)感谢他的关注。

(2)简要介绍相关情况。

(3)谈谈你的感想。

注意:1、词数100左右,信的格式已为你写好。

2、可根据内容要点进行适当增加细节,以使行文连贯。

我根据平时的训练要求,给学生25分钟写作,结果大学有三分之二的学生能完成。

在批阅作文的过程中,我记录了一些错误,并对此作了分类,错误主要有以下几类:
1.词汇方面的错误。

这方面主要体现在单词拼写错误、词性错误、动词的过去式过去分词错误、名词的单复数形式、形容词副词的比较级最高级等等。

如:①enviroment (为environment 拼写错误)②As too many (单词用法错误应为much)use of plastic bags, ③…make our country an even cleanner (应为cleaner) place ④These bags are made of a variety of material (应为materials) ⑤…has caused serios(拼写错误应为serious) white pollution ⑥…that can be easy(应为easily) treated ⑦…started useing (useing应为using)them
2.语法方面的错误。

语法是正确表达的必要条件,学生在这方面的主要错误有:主谓不一致,情态动词后接to do ,句中无谓语动词,一个句子中出现多个谓语动词,动词原形用作主语等等。

如:①As too much use of plastic bag s have caused…(本句的主语为too much use,所以have应改为has) ②…,they can to be reused.(to去掉,can后要直接跟动词原形)③use these shopping bag can greatly improve…(use应用using,不能直接用动词原形做主语) ④Our government encourages us use shopping bags (应为to use, encourage sb to do sth.)
3.汉语式表达。

学生容易受汉语的干扰,写出一些只有中国人能懂而母语为英语的人很难接受的句子。

如:①I very happy you notice this .(应为I’m very happy you’ve noticed this .) ②Many people know the bags advantages begin to use them.(应为Many people know the advantages of the bags and begin to use them.)
4.语篇和修辞方面的错误。

简单句过多,句与句之间无连接词。

如:①These bags are easily treated .They are made of some materials.(句子太简单,缺少连词) ②We use too many plastic bags, these bags cause serious white pollution.(中间加上连词and)
二、反思
通过对以上错误的分析,我发现学生在词汇方面出现的错误最多,语法错误居第二。

这点可以反映出如下教学方面的问题。

1.由于最近七、八年来高考题中删去了对单词拼写词的考查,因此老师放松了对单词的检查力度,学生也随之放松了对单词的记忆。

有些单词学生有可能认识,但如果真正写出来却不一定正确。

另外,对一些不规则动词的过去式、过去分词、
名词的复数形式、形容词、副词的比较级、最高级等记忆不牢,有时如果实在记不住,学生就干脆按规则变化来变了,结果就错了。

2.由于近几年教学中要求淡化语法,对语法的讲解只侧重知识规则的输入,而由于练习不够或学生并没有了解。

因此,有时不敢用,有时虽然用了却不对。

一些句子结构学生掌握不牢,用起来不能得心应手。

三、解决办法
由于发现了以上问题,我觉得在以后的教学中,我觉得应该在以下个方面多下功夫。

1.加大对单词拼写的检查力度。

在讲课过程中,从单词的拼写、词性以及用法等方面进行讲解,加大学生的练习,使学生做到熟练运用一些重要单词、短语。

2.正确对待语法。

淡化语法并不是不讲语法,重要的语法不仅要讲而且要讲透,并配以适当练习。

高考书面表达的最高要求就是要求学生用一些高级语法来提高文章的档次,提升文章的品位。

要求学生正确使用语法的同时,还要让学生掌握一些表达效果好、使用场合广、操作简便易行的高级语法,如:感叹句、强调句、现在分词作状语、with复合结构等等。

这些句型相对简单易学,表达效果也不错,只要掌握其用法特点,并有意识地加以使用,一定会为文章增添光彩。

3.教育学生注意行文逻辑。

许多学生写出来的句子是正确的,但是文章前后不连贯,层次不清晰,逻辑性不强。

因此,让学生根据所给材料,考虑使用一些过度及连接的词汇,如表示时间顺序的:at first, then, finally, at last, suddenly等等;表示对称关系的:on one hand, on the other hand;表示递进关系的:what's more, what's worse, besides 等等;表示转折关系的:but,however, while, otherwise等等;表示因果关系的:as a result, therefore 等等。

准确地使用好这些词汇将有助于增强文章的可读性。

4.规范学生书写。

书面表达要书写工整,布局美观,卷面整洁会增加得高分的机会。

做完后,还要认真修改,避免大小写及标点符号等错误。

总之,我想只要在教学中,能从内容、语言、语法、表达、结构、逻辑及卷面等多方面对学生进行规范训练,提高学生的书面表达能力应该不是一件困难的事。
