To reach the goal, he let Fagin to help him to make Oliver an incurable criminal. While they were talking, Nancy heard it by accident, and he told it to Ross.When Ross was thinking how to deal with it, Oliver came to tell her that he found Mr. Brownlow. Then Ross and Mr. Brownlow began to discuss it. They met Nancy once again and to Mr. Brownlow got a surprising new that Monks is his old friend’s son. It's part of the Nancy Drew Mystery Stories series and was such a page-turner! Let me tell you all about the crazy plot.The story begins when Nancy Drew, an eighteen-year-old amateur detective, gets a letter from her friend Ned Nickerson. Ned is studying at Emerson College in the big city, and his dorm advisor Mr. Gomber recently passed away under very suspicious circumstances. Gomber fell down the tight, winding stair in oneof the old campus buildings and broke his neck. The police ruled it an accident, but Ned thinks there's more to the story and asks Nancy to investigate.Nancy is thrilled at the prospect of a new mystery and immediately makes plans to visit Ned at Emerson. Her father Carson Drew, who is a lawyer, is going to be in the city on business too, so they travel together. When they arrive, Ned fills Nancy in on more details. Apparently, Mr. Gomber had recently inherited a sizable fortune from a distant relative. Plus, some strange things had been happening in the dorm leading up to his death, like furniture getting rearranged and personal belongings going missing. It's all very suspicious!To start her investigation, Nancy goes undercover as a student at Emerson, moving into the dorm where Mr. Gomber lived and Ned resides. Her first night there, some bizarre occurrences make Nancy think the dorm is haunted! Her bedsheets are pulled off while she's sleeping, and a vase crashes to the floor, spilling water everywhere. It's all very spooky.The next day, Nancy starts questioning students, faculty, and staff about Mr. Gomber's life. She learns that he was a bit of an eccentric loner and didn't have any close friends. He did take frequent walks alone down by the wharf though. Nancy alsodiscovers that the school is swimming in debt and in danger of closing down. Could someone have killed Mr. Gomber for his newly-inherited money to save Emerson College? It's starting to seem more and more like foul play.To take a break from her intense investigating, Nancy goes to the college dance one night with Ned. But danger follows her, and she gets trapped in the dark gymnasium kitchen! After a harrowing struggle, she manages to escape, but now she's certain someone is out to get her and stop her from solving the case.Nancy's detective work leads her to an old sea captain named Obb Babbitt who was close with Mr. Gomber. He reveals that Gomber had made arrangements to leave his inheritance to the struggling college after his death. This motive for murder makes several people suspects, including the school's president and its financial manager.With Ned's help, Nancy eventually discovers a secret underground tunnel leading from the dorm to the wharf where Mr. Gomber took his walks. At the end of the tunnel, they find an old unlocked door that could have provided access to the winding stair for an attacker! The mystery starts coming together.The climax occurs when Nancy and Ned stake out the tunnel entrance at night to catch the culprit. Sure enough, a shady figure emerges and heads for the staircase - it's the school president! Nancy follows and gets there just in time to see the president attempting to break into Gomber's former room. A huge struggle and chase ensue, and in the end, the president confesses that he killed Mr. Gomber to get his hands on the inheritance money and save the college from bankruptcy. What a crazy twist!In the final chapter, Ned and Nancy celebrate solving the baffling case. Emerson College intends to use Mr. Gomber's inheritance exactly as he wanted to prevent it from closing down. And as for our spunky teen detective heroine? She's already looking forward to her next big mystery! What an awesome book full of suspense, danger, and Nancy's brilliant deductive skills. I can't wait to read more Nancy Drew adventures.。

This film tells the story of a tragic orphan , Oliver Twist . Oliver was brought to a workhouse when he was nine .After nearly he was sent to a coffin shop(棺材铺).Because of more poor treatment ,Oliver escaped on foot to London.There he met a local gang of pickpockets（盗窃团伙）. Oliver tried to escaped but he failed .After going through countless hardships ,Oliver started his new life under Mr.Brownlow 's help .
