英语介绍黄鹤楼
Today, we will visit Y ellow Crane Tower. I think it is the best attraction with a long history in Wuhan, even in China. Y ellow Crane Tower, located on Snake Hill in Wuhan, enjoys the fame of 'The First Scenery under Heaven. Its cultural significance makes it the symbol of Wuhan City. The Y ellow Crane Tower has a very long and complicated history. It was first built in 223, during the Three Kingdoms Period (220 - 280). Due to the ideal location, it was built by Sun Quan (182 - 252, King of Wu) as a watchtower for his army. After hundreds of years, its military function was gradually forgotten and the tower was enjoyed mainly as a picturesque location. Now we are standing in front of the tower. The roof is covered by 100,000 yellow glazed tiles. With yellow upturned eaves, each floor seems to have been designed to resemble a yellow crane spreading its wings to fly.Let’s enter the hall on the first floor. On the wall, there is a nine-meter long and six-meter wide painted porcelain picture which depicts clouds, rivers and cranes to represent a romantic mood in the heaven. What do you think of the picture? It is very beautiful, isn’t it? Do you know why we call the tower Y ellow Crane Tower? The answer lies in the picture. Have you noticed that, in the picture there is a Taoist who played a flute and rode a crane gliding through the sky? It is a story about kindness and rewarding.Legend has it that in Wuchang, there used to be a wine shop opened by a young man named Xin. One day, a Taoist priest, in gratitude for free wine, drew a magic crane on the wall of the shop and instructed it to dance whenever it heard clapping. Thousands of people came to see the spectacle and the wine shop was always full of guests. After 10 years, the Taoist priest revisited the wine shop. He played the flute and then rode on the crane to the sky. In memory of the supernatural encounter and the priest, the Xins built a tower and named it Yellow Crane Tower. Maybe you have heard other versions of stories. Now we are on the second floor, and we can appreciate various miniatures copied the styles from Tang dynasty to Qing dynasty. Y ellow Crane Tower was destroyed and rebuilt many times in successive dynasties. In 1884, it was completely destroyed in a fire and was not rebuilt until 1981. The present tower is a complete reconstruction and is the result of four years of work. The tower had different architectural features in different dynasties. However the tower which stands today is based on the one designed during the Qing Dynasty. It stands 51.4 meters (about 168 feet) high and has five floors. The appearance of the tower is the same regardless of the direction it is viewed from. Let’s have a look at the model in Qing dynasty. It has 3stories, the first floor has 12 eaves which represent 12 hours in one day, the second floor also has 12eaves and it stands for 12months in a year. The third floor has 24eaves and represents 24 solar terms. It is very interesting to enjoy the different kinds of models in different dynasties. On the third floor mainly shows poems written to praise the tower in different dynasties. During the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907), many popular poems were written in praise of the Y ellow Crane Tower. It was these poems that made the Tower so renowned and induced for people to visit. Such as Cui Hao in Tang Dynasty, he wrote a famous poem which was name YELLOW CRANE TOWER, and another famous poet Li Bai, also visited this beautiful place many times. In this place he once saw off his friend, another poet Meng Haoran, and wrote a famous poem for it to show his emotion. From then on, the yellow crane tower was well known throughout China. If you want to enjoy the Y angtze River and the view of its bridge and the surrounding buildings in Wuhan City, the good choice is to go to the fifth floor. And the rest time, enjoyyourself. That’s all for the explanation to yellow crane tower. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Y ou will have another 30 minutes to have a look around the temple. If you have any problems, do let me know. I would like to repeat our bus number, WH12345. Please don’t forget. See you later.Y our current visit to China is drawing to a close. I would like to say a few words before you leave this country, though I am not a speech-maker. Time has elapsed so quickly and you have visited several scenic spots in this city. The time we stayed together was rather short and really the surface was only scratched. What the Chinese people call “looking at the flowers on the horse’s back.” Every one in the group has been very cooperative, friendly, understanding and punctual. That is what I witnessed and experienced, and as a national guide, it was much appreciated.Parting is such sweet sorrow. Happy to meet, sorry to depart, and happy to meet again. Wish you have a nice journey home. Goodbye.。
