Sandwiches are also known as a 'butty' or 'sarnie' in some parts of the UK. First, usually Britain's lunch time is shorter ,generally in a hour, so will not very grand 。When you are a student,many people might only have some chocolate bar,a bag of potato chips ,an apple,a banana and so on。 If you are diligent,maybe you will bring about sandwich that you make yourself.Eating sandwich as lunch will be more convenient. It can be made quickly,be aten quickly,even you can eat it when you are walking ,and don’t need to wash dishes,and It is very cheap.

Afternoon tea
• Very quickly it became fashionable to take tea in the middle of the afternoon and the occasion became more and more elaborate with the use of elegant tea ware. During the 1880‘s upper-class and society women would change into long gowns礼服, gloves and hats for their afternoon tea ,which was usually served in the drawing room between four and five o'clock.

The custom of taking afternoon tea is believed to have been first introduced in England in 1840 by Anna, the Seventh Duchess of Bedford. • The most famous meal in Britain could be the traditional breakfast. What makes it so popular with British people and visitors?
