一、引言《面子》(Saving Face)是2004年由伍思维(AliceWu)导演,杨雅慧、陈冲和陈凌主演的一部爱情喜剧片,曾获第42届台湾电影金马奖观众票选最佳影片奖。
《面子》的故事是围绕着一个纽约华人家庭展开的。
Wil,小薇 ,一个28岁仍未嫁的华人外科女医生,她的母亲年轻时随父亲来到了美国,丈夫早逝,一个人含辛茹苦把女儿培养成才。
似乎这是一个再正常不过的华人家庭:一个严厉传统的外祖父,一个恪守妇道的寡妇,一个事业有成的女儿。
然而正常的生活有一天却被打破了:48岁的寡妇怀孕了,她没有勇气说出孩子的父亲是谁,其思想极其传统的父亲为了保住自己在社会上的面子将她赶出了家门;而她引以为傲的女儿小薇又是一个同性恋。
电影的结局比较圆满:小薇在妈妈的婚礼上鼓励妈妈去追求属于自己的爱情;妈妈也认可了小薇的同性恋身份,鼓励小薇去找回她的爱情;外祖父也在慢慢地接受小薇是同性恋的事实。
影片中,小薇及家人展现出来亲情观、爱情观、面子观等折射出了不同文化的差异。
中国文化主张的是集体主义,而美国文化奉行的是个人主义。
中国人追求的是大家的“面子”,而美国人追求的是个性自由。
不同的文化对待事情的观点态度也各不相同,在不断地摩擦、交流过程中两种文化逐渐走向融合。

“这不是很时髦么”既包含了“in this gym or somewhere else”的意思，也说出了弗朗基对收女徒的态度。
3.替换。
当源语与目标语之间存在太大的文化差异时，可采用替换的翻译手法，以给目标观众带来最佳的观影体验。
例如，在电影《阿凡达》中，有一句台词“Easy boy! You are a lucky swine! Blue monkey”，这种习惯性的俚语充满了幽默和生动。
它可以用替换法译成“你这个好小子！幸运的小东西，忧郁的智多星”。

Abstract: With The Joy Club as an entry point, the paper contrasts and compares the similarities and differences between China and America in many aspects of culture, mainly discussing from the following aspects: ways of education, views towards love and marriage, senses of values, ways of language expression and address terms. The article describes the combination of the differences and similarities between Chinese and western cultures according to different figure characters, living ways, and individual fates in the movie The Joy Luck Club, and also profoundly expresses people’s inspiration and thinking upon the differences and combination. Datong has tried hard to get everything, but it just gone in a minute.Therefore, this paper made from cultural values to analyze American Cultural Conflict to evoke cross-cultural awareness.2.Cultural difference and conflict analysis2.1 Ways of child educationThe first culture difference come into my mind is the way they treat their children. For Da Tong , when his son doesn’t obey his word to make an apology to his boss’s son, he teaches his son by force without thinking twice. When his boss asks him, he says he do this because he want to save his boss’s face. This is quite unacceptable for the boss. There are two obvious culture differences in this case. First, in Chinese parents’ eyes, children are their “private” property, they have right to teach their children in any way they like. Second, it is quite common to teach children by force if they refuse to apologize to other children. It’s one way to save other adults’ face. But for America n they don’t have such ideas. They care more about their children’s feelings, care more ab out thelaw When they back home, Dennis doesn’t speak to Datong, and he tells Datong: “You never hit me; dads who hit their kids are not good dads”. And Datong tells Dennis that: “Dad hit you for your own good, because dad love you”. This is the typical Chi nese saying, and it is Chinese culture which Datong agrees with. When Dennis asks his father that “Did I hit Paul because I love him？”, Datong just laugh and he doesn’t explain that it is not allowed in America.In America, people think it is beyond the law that parents hit their child. It’s a kind of child abuse and will possibly take the child far away from their parents while Chinese parents think that is an unbelievable t hing. 从电影《世界是平的》看东西方文化差异及跨文化适应
○杨勇萍（山西警官高等专科学校，山西太原 030021）[摘要] 电影《世界是平的》（Outsourced）又名《服务外包》是美国导演约翰·杰夫考特（John Jeffcoat）2006年推出的一部作品。
本文通过分析影片情节，突显东西方的文化差异以及东西方文化从相互冲突到和平共处的跨文化适应过程。
[关键词] “外包”；文化差异；跨文化适应中图分类号：G 04 文献标识码：A 文章编号：1672-8610（2013）2-0095-02电影《世界是平的》（Outsourced）又名《服务外包》，改编自同名畅销书，获西雅图国际影展最佳影片奖，讲述了在经济全球化的大背景下，美国很多电话网络销售公司为了降低成本、节省费用将自己的客服部门迁到工资低廉的印度等发展中国家，培训当地人取代美国人做同样的工作。
这就是俗称的“外包”。
“外包”在当今世界经济一体化的趋势下非常普遍。
我们很熟悉的奥斯卡最佳影片《贫民窟的百万富翁》中的男主人公贾玛尔在影片中即是在印度“外包”中心送茶水的工作人员。
新锐导演约翰·杰夫考特（John Jeffcoat）将“外包”这一火热的话题与文化、爱情等主题结合，通过许多有趣好玩、啼笑皆非的情节给我们展示了东西方文化中的诸多差异。
一、剧情介绍电影中的主人公陶德·安德森是西雅图一家小产品公司的客服中心的主管。
为了节省成本，公司决定将男主角所在的部门外包给远在东半球的印度，即用低廉的待遇雇佣印度当地的客服人员，为远在西半球的美国客户服务。
而陶德也被指派前往培训当地客服人员以及自己的下一任接班人。
公司许诺他如果业绩达到公司要求的话可以提拔为高级副总裁，否则将被解雇。
陶德迫不得已前往印度，成为派驻国外的外包高管，去培训客服人员如何以美国方式工作、说话。
看似跳升为高管的派驻，却遭遇陶德想不到的大灾难。
初到孟买的脏乱吵嚷与诸多文化方面的差异让陶德抓狂，种种不适应使得陶德非常想回国。

一、电影中的突出体现不同历史在《霸王别姬》中，对于京剧的描写占有很大的比例，它也是通过电影向全世界介绍中国京剧的美丽。
在影片的开头，影片细致地描写了京剧班子里角儿是怎样炼成的。
影片通过对小豆子和小石头这样两个角色的描写，反映中国传统文化下付出的艰辛以及这样两个小人物内心对世界的价值观。
在电影中，文化大革命作为一个转折性的事件，将人物命运硬生生地掰成两段。
文化大革命这样的一个事件曾经被作为很多电影的题材，而在这部片子里，导演从京剧角儿这样的一个视角探索文化大革命的危害和对人性的摧残，具有很高的艺术性质。
他体现了革命与传统的交锋，从而导致了这样的一个悲剧，惨烈，疯狂。
而在西方电影文化中，不同民族的电影都包含各自的历史事件。
《辛特勒名单》、《美丽人生》分别是美国人以及意大利人拍摄的关于德意志法西斯主义对犹太人的残杀的历史事件。
在影片中大量使用黑白意境，将这样的死亡赋予了不同的感**彩。
但是，这又不仅仅是描写历史事件的电影，历史作为一个背景，正式上演的还是具有浓郁情感色彩的温情和人性的亮点。

电影作为人们日常生活中的一种娱乐方式，扮演着越来越重要的角色。
由于两种不同的文化背景差异之下英语国家和非英语国家之间交流的语言障碍，导致中西电影翻译存在着许多差异。
因此，掌握不同国界之间的各种因为差异所带来的翻译的歧义，可以增强跨越国界超越文化之中语言障碍的相互认知，加强跨文化之间的交流与认知。
关键词：全球化;中西翻译;文化差异在全球化的巨大威胁下，各国之间的变化迅速蔓延，各国之间的交流也越来越多。
文化作为国际交流的重要桥梁，发挥着至关重要的作用。
从文化的角度看，电影更被认为是文化的精神载体。
因此，电影背后也更多地代表着文化的深层内涵，电影翻译的背后是更多的翻译元素，而电影翻译跨越文化差异和语言差异也更为关。
说到翻译，我们常常谈到翻译的标准，即忠实、表达和优雅。
然而，从电影的角度看，一部好电影的翻译不仅是字幕，更是标题的简单直白的翻译。
影片背后的导演给了作者更多的思考，这也是翻译中需要考虑的因素。
相较于绘画、文学、舞蹈和戏剧的等拥有几千年的历史。
但电影仅仅是在一个多世纪前发明的，毋庸置疑电影是一种新兴的媒介。
但在较短的时间跨度上，新来者确立了自己作为一个充满活力和强大的艺术。
电影可以讲故事，表达情感，并传达想法。
电影作为一门艺术，也很重要，也很有生命力。
他们与自己的社会和经济背景紧密相连。
在艺术表现上，电影不仅有自己的特色，而且更有文化韵味。
随着现代社会的发展，电影已经渗透到人类社会生活的各个方面。
它在各个方面都是人们日常生活中不可缺少的一部分。
古往今来，翻译在人际交往、商务交往、经济发展、社会进步、科技振兴、学术交流、文化交流、文化遗产、国际关系、全球治理等方面发挥着不可替代的作用技能和理论指导。

These landscape in films,always being deserts, mountains,villages, towns, blow sand and so all, are different from the developed Eastern which has not these landscape. Thefilm "Schindler'sList"effectively wants to tell us that there is always a light in the darkness and there is always a hope when people feel despairing. None of us will vanish our conscience, soul as well as hope no wonder where we are.
