The topic of this unit is about earthquakes. In order to help students get more information about the topic, the reading passage gives us a detailed description of the Tangshan earthquake in 1976, including things happening before, during and after the powerful quake. And then I will make a conclusion of this class in one sentence: Where there is life, there is hope.Homework: Choose one paragraph from the passage and act out an interview between a reporter and a survivor from Tangshan earthquake. 人教版高中英语必修1Unit4 Earthquake说课稿图木舒克中学闫苗一、说教材的地位和作用本单元是人教版高中英语必修一的第四单元,本堂课是本单元的第一课时,是一堂阅读课,本课的中心话题是“地震”,内容主要涉及1976年7月28日唐山大地震的震前征兆、震时情况、震后破坏、伤亡情况及震后救援。

对于地震,新疆的学生应该不陌生,新疆本就处于地震频发地带,在上周我们还又一次亲身体验了一次地震,所以本课在地震知识的讲解方面应该不会有太大困难。

本文重点在除培养学生语言知识能力之外,也要学习唐山人民勇敢面对自然灾害的精神,以及面对生命的脆弱,尊重生命,珍惜生命的价值。

二.说学情分析高一年级的学生已经积累了一部分词汇和语法基础,并掌握了一些简单的学习策略和技巧,具有初步的英语听说读写的能力。

但是,学生个性和英语水平差异大,两极分化严重,因此教学设计要有梯度,由浅入深,注意层次性。

作为一门语言的学习,在课堂上我会尽可能多的鼓励学生利用每一次机会开口说英语,以达到锻炼口语,实现语言的交际功能的目的。

三、说教学目标根据《教学大纲》的要求和学生已有的知识基础和认知能力,在仔细学习和分析教材的基础上,我确定了以下教学目标。

语言知识掌握本课的生词和一些有用的表达方法;了解与地震有关的知识;在阅读中初步感受定语从句。

语言技能能运用所学语言知识描述地震前兆、危害及震后援救;学习阅读中略读、找读,精读的技能情感态度学习唐山人民勇敢面对自然灾害的精神;以及面对生命的脆弱,尊重生命,珍惜生命的价值。

文化意识了解各种自然灾害的名称和地震的情况, 详细了解地震的常识,提高学生的震时自我保护意识。

学习策略培养学生通过各种途径如报纸、杂志、书籍和网络等资源搜集信息的能力。

四.说教学重点和难点1.重点:依据《英语课程标准》话题项目表关于自然灾害部分的话题要求(P76),了解、理解该自然灾害的情况,以达到能够交流、阅读、书面表达该类文章的能力。

一、学情分析:所授课学生为我校高一学生,经过初中及高中前几个单元的学习,学生具备基本的阅读能力和一些简单的阅读技巧及方法。

但学生在高中英语学习中第一次接触“灾难”的话题,学生不熟悉此话题。

此外学生在学习过程中了解一些合作学习的方法,但没有尝试过合作阅读的学习方式,如:jigsaw(拼图式阅读), round robin (圈圈说)等,因此如何设计好教学环节,步骤及方法是帮助学生维持学习兴趣,提高阅读能力,进一步巩固和加强英语学习策略的关键。

二、教材分析:所授课内容为高一人教版课程标准试验教材unit 4 Earthquake。

阅读部分A night the earth didn’t sleep 叙述了发生在唐山的大地震。

全文以时间顺序描述了地震前,反常的现象,地震发生时的情况,地震造成的破坏,和震后的救援工作,以及人们在不同阶段的感受。

三、教法根据材料的形式及内容特点,从学生的认知层次和实际学习情况及学习能力出发,按照“语言接触---理解体验---语言聚焦---自主运用”的教学思路,分为pre-reading, while-reading ,post-reading三个环节,首先学生在读前通过阅读题目对课文主要内容进行预测,使学生了解话题并引入阅读内容,在阅读中,学生有明确的学习任务,学生通过自主阅读和小组合作阅读等活动形式,借住非语言信息获取和理解文章的主要信息,在阅读后,教师设计了真实的交际任务,进行语言输出,提高学会用英语解决实际问题的能力。

人教版高中英语必修1Unit4 Earthquake 说课稿一、教材的地位和作用本单元的中心话题是“地震” 。

本课的内容主要涉及了1976 唐山大地震的震前预兆、地震发生时的情况、震后的破坏和伤亡情况以及震后的救援工作。

对于地震,学生应该不陌生,有相应的知识构架,特别是在汶川和玉树地震后,人们对地震还心存余悸,所以本课在自然知识的讲解方面应该不会有太大困难。

本文重点在于培养学生语言知识能力之外,也要鼓励学生遇到困难时勇于面对,树立“一方有难,八方支援” 的社会责任感。

二.学情分析高中一年级的学生已经在初中阶段的英语学中,已经积累了一定的词汇基础,并掌握了一些简单的学习策略和技巧,具有初步的英语听说读写能力。

但是,学生个性和英语水平差异大,因此教学设计要有梯度,由浅入深,注意层次性。

英语作为一门语言,其最基本的作用就是人际交流。

但是中国学生普遍的情况是不愿开口说英语。

因此我在课堂要鼓励学生们利用每个机会开口说英语,以达到锻炼口语的目的。

三、教学目标根据《教学大纲》的要求和学生已有的知识基础和认知能力,在仔细学习和分析教材的基础上,我确定了以下教学目标。

语言知识语言技能掌握本课的生词和一些有用的表达方法以及定语从句用法;了解与地震有关的知识。

根据已知信息推测将要学习的材料;(推测)能运用所学语言知识描述地震前兆、危害及震后援救;(说)学习阅读中略读和找读,和细读的技能(读)学习唐山人民勇敢面对自然灾害的精神;在教学活动中培养学生的合作精神和互助精神。

了解世界各地的自然灾害和大地震的情况, 了解有关地震的知识,启发学生国际援助意识。

培养学生通过各种渠道如报纸、杂志、图书馆和网络等资源搜集信息的能力。

五.教学方法与工具。

我将分三个阶段完成说课:一、说教材;二、说教法;三、说教学过程。

下面让我们一起进入第一部分——说教材。

一、说教材1、教材的地位及作用:本篇文章是该单元的主体阅读,是一篇新闻报道。

文章讲述了1976年7月28日凌晨发生在河北省唐山市的大地震。

通过对震前征兆,地震发生,震后救援的具体描述,向我们再现了唐山大地震这场二十世纪人类遭受的最惨重的自然灾害。

本课型是单元整体教学的重要环节,为学生的语言学习、语法学习提供了载体。

在语言学习上,本篇文章词汇量大,篇幅较长,并且采用一些修辞手法,对学生的语言阅读能力提出了更高的要求。

但文章的结构比较明显,容易归纳出各部分的中心词。

在语法学习上,文中出现许多定语从句,在初中已有认知基础上,本单元为接下来定语从句的进一步学习起到承上启下的作用。

2、教学目标:(依据:高考英语考试大纲对词汇掌握、阅读能力的要求)(1)知识目标:a.了解关于地震的基本知识b.学习考试大纲要求的词汇和短语(2)能力目标:训练学生通过略读,细读等阅读技巧捕捉文章主要信息,归纳文章段落大意,理解文章细节。

树立安全意识,珍爱生命。

3、教学重点和难点(1)重点:训练学生的阅读技巧,培养学生对文章整体结构的把握以及快速捕捉文章重点细节和总结归纳的能力。

(2)难点:如何使学生学会提取、筛选和重组文章中的信息,并灵活运用到语言实践中。

二、说教法学情分析:学习本文的学生是刚进入高中阶段两个月左右的学生,仍然处于初高中交接适应阶段。

由于学生整体基础较薄弱,特别是由于词汇量缺乏,导致阅读速度慢。

因此本课时着重注意调整活动任务设置的梯度,使每个层次学生通过学习活动,都能学有所成,体验到成功。

大家上午好!
今天我说课的题目是人教版新课标高中英语必修1 Unit4 Earthquakes的阅读部分。

我说课的内容主要包括五个部分:一是说教材分析,二是说学情分析,三是说教学目标,四是说教法学法以及最后一部分是说教学过程。

一、教材分析
本课是根据人教版高中新课标高一英语必修1 Unit4 Earthquakes阅读部分“A Night the Earth Didn’t Sleep”而设计的一节课,课文主要讲述了1976年7月28日凌晨发生在河北省东北部唐山市的大地震,通过对震前征兆、地震发生和震后救援的具体描述,向我们再现了唐山大地震这场二十世纪人类遭受的最惨重的自然灾害。

通过学习,学生能够了解更多关于地震的常识,面对突然来临的自然灾难,能够从容镇定,积极勇敢地面对并加强自我保护能力。

二、学情分析
学习本文的学生是刚进入高中阶段两个月左右的学生,仍然处于初高中交接适应阶段。

虽然他们通过初中三年的学习,有些学生已具有一定的听说读写能力,但由于学生整体基础较薄弱,特别是由于词汇量缺乏,导致阅读速度慢,再加上对阅读技巧训练不足,对抓住文章重点和概括段落大意等方面还有待提高。

三、说教学目标
1. 知识目标:
1)重点掌握本课的核心词汇和常用表达;
2)通过描述地震灾害的常用语,学生能够简单地描述地震发生的原因,如:震级,震感,海啸,世界末日等。

2. 能力目标:
1)提高学生的阅读技能尤其是略读和浏览的能力;
2)能根据所读的材料用适当的语言进行复述;
3. 情感目标:
1)通过完成任务和团队协作,增加学生学英语的兴趣并使他们建立自信心;
2)增强学生的竞争意识;
3)让学生知道如何在地震中自救和救人。

四、说教法学法
1. 从学生的实际情况出发,我主要采用以下教法:
1)任务型教学法。

结合学生的生活经验和兴趣设计一些问题,通过讨论在任务完成的过程中让学生学到应有的知识并提高语言的沟通能力。

2)多媒体辅助教学法:丰富教学内容,提高学生兴趣,优化课堂教学。

3)讨论法:激发学生的思维,活跃课堂气氛,让学生积极地参与课堂。

4)图表归纳法:简明易懂,让学生更容易掌握细节内容。

在careful reading 部分运用图表归纳。

2. 学生的学习方法
根据新课程标准倡导自主、合作和探究的学习方式,因此在教学过程中,以学生为中心,为提高学生的学习积极性和主动性,对文章部分通过设置一系列的任务培养学生的合作和探究能力,小组通过合作讨论可以促进同学之间的交往,增强信心,从而达到共同进步。

五、说教学过程
Step 1 Warming up 热身
播放英文歌曲《昨日重现》,一方面营造轻松的英语学习氛围,另一方面学生们可以不由自主地在脑海中浮现曾经深刻的记忆。

Step 2 Lead-in 导入
利用多媒体播放一段视频材料,并对学生提问以下问题:
1.Where is this?
2.What happened?
3.When did it happen?
4.What were you doing when it happened?
Step3 Pre-reading
Look at the picture and discuss with your partner and tell the class what will happen before an earthquake.
Step 4 Reading
在fast reading部分,让学生给每个段落分别选出它的大意。

Divide the whole passage into three parts and try to get the main idea of each part.
在careful reading部分,针对文章的一些细节内容,设置一些任务问题:
What happened before the earthquake?
What happened during the earthquake?
What happened after the earthquake?
Step5 Consolidation
