教学目标
1.能听、说、读、写单词:east,west,north,south,northwest,northeast,southwest,southeast。
2.能用上述单词准确描述地理位置。

3.让学生通过网络搜索准备Part A Warming-up中各景点的位置、天气等相关信息及其他相关知识。
在地图上逐一找出大连、拉萨的位置,用同样的方式进行east和west这两个方位词的学习。
(2)教授单词northwest,northeast,southwest,southeast
教师借助呈45度角的坐标,教授单词northwest。引领学生发现规律和技巧,探究其余三个方位northeast,southwest,southwest的表达方式,用构词法帮助学生快速记忆单词。
1.新课展示Part A Let’s learn
(1)教授单词east,west,north,south
借助地图让学生看到自己所处城市的地理位置。然后出示north的词汇卡,带领学生多说几遍,并在黑板上画一个竖直向上的箭头,把north贴在箭头上方。
借助课件或图片展示海南美丽的沙滩,会话呈现south。

2.巩固活动
(1)教师播放Let’s learn部分的录音,让学生听并跟读本部分单词。
(2)让学生拿出所准备的东南西北折纸,快速记忆这八个方位单词后写在上面相应的位置,进行组内自定义活动。
1.游戏“东南西北”
2.地图之旅(Travel on the map)
课件展示中国地图,然后让学生说出各自在假期去过的城市,带领学生进行地图之旅。
结合学生的回答,顺势处理Think and tick部分进行热身。
T:What do you think of“nice city”?Try to discuss in your groups,and then tell us the reasons.
2.新课导入
承接刚才的话题,引导学生对自己所在的城市进行评价。之后,教师用课件呈现中国地图,让学生在地图上找一找自己城市所在的位置。
