Each individual, gifted with distinctive features, should be granted the freedom to choose a branch of study he holds a deep affection for, especially for those with great talents and potentiality in a certain field. Geniuses in arts or sports should never be confined in the agony of mathematics or philosophy study. Consequently, the reasonable solution is to enhance the teaching methods of the courses, so that children will not find it suffering to learn them. By combining the theoretical math problems with actual situations in real life, students will definitely be motivated to explore more. Therefore, it is not appropriate for any student to abandon the precious opportunity to learn math and philosophy.
All in all, students with special talents in a particular area ought to be offer the right to choose what they like to learn, nevertheless, for the majority of students, current education systems should be modified to cultivate the interests of mathematics and philosophy learning, changing dullness into fun, instead of making them elective.
