Brief Statements
As we all know, The United States is a nation of nation and is a collage. Its society remains a diverse mix of ethnic, racial and religious groups. The United States is composed of many nationalities, races, religions and creeds. It is a nation of immigration. Traditionally the United States has been described as a melting pot, a place where the previous identities of each immigrant group are melted down to create an integrated, uniform society.
Do in Rome as the Romans do. We must develop a cross-cultural prospective remember all cultures are equal. have a respect for other cultures and learn about their basic characteristics. promote international communication of your own cultures.

This unit mainly deals with the changing from the Euro-centered American nation to a new Pacific civilization.; America is becoming more plural every day and Why so many people are attracted to America. We learn this unit to let students not only know about America as a collage , but also learn about the reasons. Of course it is necessary for the students to master the important words, expressions and sentence patterns in this unit. Meanwhile we should do a lot of practice about listening, speaking, reading and writing.

A person’s cultural background influences what he or she considers to be good manners or bad manners/ or time or late. Different culture have their own rules of behavior. People from different cultural background may have different beliefs, religions, customs and habits.
