你是一名导游介绍一下敦煌英语作文

你是一名导游介绍一下敦煌英语作文

你是一名导游介绍一下敦煌英语作文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1Welcome, everyone! My name is Lily and I'll be your student tour guide today as we explore the incredible ancient city of Dunhuang. Let me take you on a journey through this crossroads of civilizations on the ancient Silk Road.To start, let's talk about the location of Dunhuang. It sits in the northwest of China, in the Gansu province, right smack in the middle of the harsh Gobi Desert. You might be wondering, why was such an important city built in the desert? Well, Dunhuang was a vital oasis stop for traders, monks, soldiers and nomads traveling the Silk Road between China and the West. Can you imagine how tough that journey must have been over 1,000 years ago? Trekking through scorching desert sands, freezing winter winds, and rugged mountain passes with your caravan of camels loaded with precious goods like silk, spices, and jade. Finally, you'd come upon the life-giving oasis of Dunhuang with its lush gardens, bubbling streams, and bustlingmarkets. No wonder travelers called it "the Shining Pearl on the Silk Road"!The history of Dunhuang goes back over 2,000 years to the Han Dynasty in 111 BC when it was an important military garrison town. It protected the trade routes that linked ancient China to Central Asia, South Asia, the Middle East and beyond. Can you picture soldiers keeping watch from those massive fortified walls and beacon towers? But Dunhuang's true claim to fame is the incredible Mogao Grottoes - one of the greatest collections of Buddhist art in the world. Let me tell you how it all began...Around 366 AD, a Buddhist monk had the idea to start carving cave shrines out of the cliffs near Dunhuang to serve as places of meditation and worship. Over the next thousand years, an amazing complex of nearly 500 caves was carved by devoted monks, filled with brightly colored murals and thousands of beautifully sculpted Buddha statues.Walking through the dimly lit caves, you're instantly transported back in time as Buddha's teachings come alive through the intricate artworks. In the Mogao Grottoes, you'll find the oldest dated inscription of the Diamond Sutra, one of the most important texts in Buddhism, as well as original Sanskritmanuscripts, ancient Jewish documents, and even books in unknown languages waiting to be deciphered by scholars. The Mogao Grottoes are like a time capsule of the different cultures and religions that intermingled in Dunhuang during its golden age on the Silk Road. You'll see Greek influences in the flowing robes and postures, Hindu deities depicted alongside the Buddhas, and tradesmen in Persian styles painted onto the walls. It's an amazing merging of East and West.In 1900, a humble Daoist monk stumbled upon one of the greatest archeological finds in history - a secret cave sealed for nearly 1,000 years that was stuffed floor to ceiling with an incredible haul of manuscripts, paintings, embroideries and countless other relics from ancient travelers. This Dunhuang Library Cave, or Library of the Gansu Thousand Buddha Grottos, contained over 50,000 priceless documents and artifacts! Can you imagine the monk's excitement as he started uncovering this literary treasure trove that had been lost to the world for a millennium?Much of the Library Cave's contents were later divided up and dispersed around the globe to places like the British Library, the Louvre, and universities worldwide for study andpreservation. Who knows what other underground marvels may still lie undiscovered beneath the desert sands of Dunhuang?Beyond the Mogao Grottoes, Dunhuang offers so many other amazing sights. There's the Singing Sand Dunes, where the dry sand resonates with an eerie humming sound as the wind whips across the dunes. Legend says that the sound comes from the ancient sobbing of a heartbroken wife separated from her husband. Spooky! You also can't miss the Crescent Lake, a gorgeous oasis with brilliant blue waters in the middle of rolling sand dunes. It looks like a mirage, but this lake has been around for over 2,000 years, providing life-sustaining waters to Silk Road travelers in the unforgiving desert. And if you're a fan of ancient Chinese architecture, the Dunhuang Mudbrick Ruins are a must-see. These remarkably well-preserved remains of Han Dynasty buildings were buried under the shifting sands for centuries before being rediscovered in the 20th century. As you explore the ruins and wind your way through the narrow mudbrick lanes, you can practically feel the echoes of history all around you.No visit to Dunhuang would be complete without experiencing the breathtaking scenery of Rainbow Mountain.Layers of vivid mineral deposits in shades of crimson, canary yellow, moss green and more create a dazzling rainbow striped effect across the mountain ridges. Trust me, seeing this kaleidoscopic natural wonder with your own eyes is an absolute must during your time in Dunhuang! So there you have it, an overview of the mystical and amazing ancient city of Dunhuang on the Silk Road. From the priceless Buddhist treasures of the Mogao Grottoes to the stunning Rainbow Mountains, Dunhuang transports you through the centuries with every sandswept ruin and faded mural. How lucky are we to be able to walk in the footsteps of the monks, traders and nomads who traveled these routes and contributed to the cross-cultural mosaic we find in Dunhuang today?I hope this tour has inspired you all to learn more about the rich history and storied wonders of Dunhuang, the glittering pearl of the Silk Road. It has been my pleasure sharing just a glimpse into this crossroads of civilizations with you. Thank you for joining me on this journey today! I'll be happy to answer any other questions you may have.篇2Greetings, fellow travelers! And if the conditions are just right, you might even hear the haunting melody of the singing sands, a phenomenon caused by the friction of the wind-swept grains. No visit to Dunhuang would be complete without exploring the vibrant and bustling markets that have sustained this desert oasis for centuries. Prepare your senses for an explosion of sights, sounds, and aromas as we weave our way through the narrow alleyways, lined with stalls overflowing with colorful spices, intricate textiles, and intricate handicrafts. Here, you'll have the opportunity to haggle with the friendly vendors, practicing your bargaining skills while discovering unique treasures to take home as mementos of your unforgettable journey. As the sun begins to dip below the horizon, casting a warm, golden glow over the ancient city, we'll gather for a traditional Dunhuang feast. From hand-pulled noodles to succulent kebabs and fragrant stews, each bite will transport you on a gastronomic odyssey unlike any other. As our adventure draws to a close, I invite you to reflect on the incredible journey we've undertaken together.

A Tour of Our Amazing School PlaygroundHi there! My name is Emma and I'm going to be your tour guide today to show you all the awesome things at our school playground. Get ready for an adventure because our playground is like a tiny world of fun and excitement!Let's start with the jungle gyms. We have not one, but TWO huge jungle gym setups that are perfect for climbing, swinging, and exploring. The first one has a tall tower with multiple levels connected by ramps, bridges, ladders and fireman's poles. At the very top, you can look out over the whole playground like a king surveying his kingdom! The second jungle gym has tons of monkey bars, ring traps and other obstacles to test your climbing skills. I love zipping from one end to the other pretending I'm a monkey swinging through the trees.Right next to the jungle gyms, we have the swings area. Getting pushed really high on the swings and feeling that swish of wind in your face is one of the best feelings ever! We have the traditional swing sets, but also a bunch of fun twisty tire swings to try. Sometimes my friends and I have contests to see who cango the highest or spin the most on the tire swings. Just don't get too dizzy! The slides are definitely a playground must-have and boy, do we have some awesome ones here! The biggest one is a triple-lane giantmonster slide that's at least three stories tall. You can race your friends side-by-side to see who makes it down first. For the daring souls, we also have two corkscrew spiral slides that make you spin all the way down. My friend Billy once got so dizzy on one that he fell over in a heap at the bottom! It was hilarious. If you want a tamer ride, we have some classic straight slides and small hump slides for the little kids too.Now let's talk about the sandbox - this thing is massive! You could probably build a whole desert city out of the millions of grains inside. We use buckets and shovels to sculpt mountains, rivers, castles and anything else we can imagine. Sometimes teachers will hide little prizes and toys in the sand for us to dig up too. Getting sandy is just part of the fun! Right beside the sandbox is the tire playground, filled with huge piled up tractor tires to scramble over like a mini obstacle course. We love running laps through the tire tunnel and seeing who can climb up the tire pyramids the fastest.Over in the field area, that's where we have basketball hoops, tetherball and four square courts for playing classic playground games. Having that wide open grassy space is awesome for just running around or doing cartwheels too. Every now and then, we'll bring out tumbling mats and practice gymnastics moves or play games like red rover out there. But you know what the most mind-blowing part of our playground is? The GAGA BALL PIT! Gaga is this crazy fun dodgeball game where you get in a big octogon pit and try to nail people with the ball while they run and dodge. The pit is made of mesh fencing all around and it's right in the center of the playground area. Having games of gaga always draws huge crowds to cheer people on. It gets so intense! I'm pretty much the gaga ball queen at our school.I can't forget to mention the playhouses and pretend areas too. There's a cute wooden playhouse for having tea parties or putting on shows. We also have a boat playset to be sailors, and a twisty treehouse thing that's fun for climbing and having imagniation adventures in.So that's the rundown of the best playground ever! We have anything and everything you could want for recess fun. Cricket courts, hopscotch areas, seesaws, merry-go-rounds, you name it!There's always some new game, activity or exploration to try. Our playground lets us run, climb, dig, spin, slide, and just be creative kids being kids. That's what's so amazing about it.Recess is definitely the highlight of my school day. As soon as I hear that bell ring, I come running out here ready for nonstop action and playtime with my friends. No matter how many days I spend on this playground, there's always new ways to play and things to discover. I feel so lucky to have such an awesome place for recess!Well, that's the end of the tour. Was that everything you could have dreamed of in a playground or what? I'm sure after hearing all about it, you're just itching to come try it all out for yourself! A world of fun and adventure awaits on our school playground. What are you waiting for? Let's go play!。

I'm so excited to show you around my favorite city in China!Zhanjiang is a beautiful coastal city in the very south of China, in Guangdong Province. It has a tropical climate, which means it's warm and sunny all year round. The city is located right on the ocean, with stunning beaches and islands just offshore. One of the best things about Zhanjiang is all the delicious seafood! Being a coastal city, we have an abundance of fresh fish, shrimp, crabs and other tasty creatures from the sea. My favoriteis the Zhanjiang oyster omelet - a local specialty that is crispy on the outside and bursting with fresh oyster flavor inside. You'll definitely want to try it while you're here! Our first stop today is the Zhanjiang Museum. This impressive modern building was opened in 2015 and has fascinating exhibits all about the history and culture of our region. You'll learn about the ancient Nanyue Kingdom that ruled here over 2,000 years ago! The museum also displays amazing relics and artifacts discovered by archaeologists. My favorite is the pottery gallery with beautifully decorated ancient vases and bowls.Next, we're heading to Naozhou Island, one of over 20 islands just off the Zhanjiang coast. We'll take a short ferry ride across the blue waters to reach this tropical paradise. Naozhou is famous for its soft sandy beaches, waving palm trees and clear water perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The island even has a cute resident population of macaque monkeys! Just be sure not to feed them as they can get a bit cheeky. For lunch, we'll feast on some of Zhanjiang's most famous street food. The city is renowned across China for its fresh and flavorful snacks like grilled squid on a stick, steamed glutinous rice rolls, and sugar cane juice. My mouth is watering justthinking about it! We'll pick up our street eats from the lively Zhongshan Road food stalls in the city center. After refueling with a delicious lunch, we'll explore more of Zhanjiang's top attractions in the afternoon. The Huguangyan Natural Reserve is a beautiful subtropical rainforest filled with hiking trails, waterfalls, and an abundance of plant and animal species. You might even spot the rare Chinese Pangolin scurrying through the undergrowth! No visit to Zhanjiang would be complete without seeing the Chicken Grotto. This unique limestone cave gets its name from the chicken-like rock formations created by millions of years of erosion. Walking through the dimly lit chambers feels like you've traveled back to prehistoric times. Just watch your head so you don't bump into any hanging stalactites! Our final stop will be Xiashan Island, one of my personal favorite places. Only about 3 miles off Zhanjiang's coast, Xiashan feels like a world away with its pristine beaches, coconut groves and sleepy fishing villages. We'll take a stroll along the soft sand and dip our toes in the warm South China Sea before watching a spectacular sunset over the ocean. The perfect end to our Zhanjiang adventure!I really hope you've enjoyed exploring Zhanjiang with me today. From the mouthwatering seafood to the gorgeous beaches and islands, there's so much for visitors to experience in this little corner of tropical China. Zhanjiang may be a bit off the beaten path, but it's an awesome destination with a fun mix of nature, culture and cuisine. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!篇3Welcome to Zhanjiang, everyone! My name is Amy and I'll be your tour guide today. We're going to explore this beautiful city in Guangdong Province, which is in the very south of China. Get ready for an exciting adventure!First, let me tell you a bit about Zhanjiang's history. It has a very long one - people have lived here for over 3,000 years! The name "Zhanjiang" means "Precious Harbour" because the city is right on the coast of the South China Sea. For a long time, it was an important seaport for trade with other countries. In ancient times, Zhanjiang was part of the Nanyue Kingdom, which controlled a lot of southern China. Later on, it became part of the Lingnan region during the Tang Dynasty around 1,400years ago. Many of Zhanjiang's oldest buildings, like temples and pavilions, were built during this era.Over the centuries, Zhanjiang was attacked and occupied by different foreign powers that wanted to control the vital seaport. The Portuguese, Dutch, British, French and Japanese all tried to take over at different points in history. Doesn't that sound crazy? Finally, after many wars and battles, Zhanjiang became part of modern China in 1949.Phew, that's a lot of history! Now let me tell you about some of the amazing sights in Zhanjiang city today. One of the most famous is Naozhou Island, which is just off the coast. We can take a short boat ride over and explore this little island paradise! On Naozhou Island, you'll find the Guanyin Statue, which at 108 meters tall is one of the highest statues of a seated Buddha in the world! The Guanyin Buddha is the goddess of mercy and compassion. People come from all over China to see this massive statue and find peace.Another cool place is the Zhanjiang Museum, which has exhibits on the city's culture, history and nature. You can see artifacts from ancient times, including pottery, jade carvings, old coins and even dinosaur fossils! My favorite is the huge modelshowing what Zhanjiang looked like hundreds of years ago when it was a busy port. For nature lovers, Zhanjiang has some beautiful parks and gardens. The Huguang Hua Yuan is a huge flower exhibition park with all sorts of colorful blossoms and plants. And the Dinghu Mountain Park has hiking trails through bamboo forests up to viewpoints overlooking the city. Keep your eyes peeled for the mischievous monkeys that live up there!Mmm, I'm getting hungry just thinking about all this exploring. Well, you're in luck because Zhanjiang is famous for its delicious seafood! Being right on the ocean means we get super fresh fish, shrimp, crabs and other tasty treats every day.One local specialty you have to try is Dandu clams - they're huge clams cooked in a savory broth with ginger, garlic and herbs. Another beloved dish is Sanjiao wonton soup, with little dumplings stuffed with shrimp and pork. And the barbecued oysters from Naozhou Island are just incredible! You'll go home stuffed, I promise.Whew, I could go on and on about Zhanjiang, but I don't want to bore you with too many details! Just remember that this seaside city has a fascinating history, beautiful nature, incrediblefood and so much more to explore. Zhanjiang is a beautiful coastal city located in the southern part of China, in an area called Guangdong Province. It's right next to the South China Sea, which means there are lots of pretty beaches and fun ocean activities we can do.One of the best things about Zhanjiang is the warm weather. It's sunny and mild here almost all year round. Doesn't that sound nice? You won't need to bundle up in heavy jackets and scarves here like you might back home. Just pack some shorts, t-shirts and sandals and you'll be ready for the sunny Zhanjiang climate!Zhanjiang is known as the "Hundred Islands City" because there are over a hundred little islands just off the coast here in the South China Sea. Many of them are uninhabited, except for lots of cool plants and animals that make their homes there. On our tour, we'll get to take a boat ride to explore a few of those islands. Won't that be neat? This city has a very long and fascinating history. It was first established way back in 111 BC, over 2,000 years ago! Can you even imagine how different the world was back then? Zhanjiang was an important port city along the Maritime Silk Road, connecting China to other parts of Asia, Africa and Europe through sea trade routes. Many ships loaded with exotic goods like silk, spices, jade and porcelain would pass through here. The people of Zhanjiang are extremely friendly and welcoming. They are known for their easygoing nature and sense of hospitality to visitors. I'm sure you'll all be greeted with bigsmiles everywhere we go in the city. The main ethnic group here is the Han Chinese, but Zhanjiang is also home to people from lots of other backgrounds too, like the Yao, Zhuang and Miao minorities. One thing I know you kids will love is the amazing food in Zhanjiang! This place is a seafood paradise with ultra-fresh fish, shrimp, crab and many other kinds of delicious seafood, often cooked with unique Zhanjiang spices and flavors. There are tons of different dim sum restaurants and places to try dim sum staples like shrimp dumplings, barbecue pork buns and egg tarts. Your taste buds are in for a real treat!Zhanjiang also has lots of fun attractions and activities that I think you'll really enjoy. We'll get to visit places like the Nao'ao Island Beach Resort to swim, build sandcastles and play beach games. There's Shimen Island with a neat glass walkway that makes you feel like you're walking on air high above the sea. And we can't forget Wuchuan Island, which has a really cool aquarium where you can see sharks, rays, dolphins and so many other awesome marine creatures up close! For those of you who are into sports and being active, Zhanjiang has tons of options for that too. We can try surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and other fun wateractivities at the beach. Or we can explore scenic hiking trails through lush rainforests, home to friendly monkeys, colorful birds and giant waterfalls. There's even a mini amusement park with roller coasters and carnival rides if you're feeling adventurous!I could keep going on and on about all the amazing sights, sounds, flavors and experiences that await you here in Zhanjiang, but I don't want to spoil all the surprises. I think it's better if you see them for yourselves! Just know that this city has so much natural beauty, fascinating culture and non-stop fun waiting for all of us to discover together. So what do you say, are you kids ready for the adventure of a lifetime touring incredible Zhanjiang?
