1My Wonderful Summer VacationYay, summer vacation was here at last! No more waking up super early and rushing to school. I was so excited for all the fun things I would get to do over the next few months. The first couple of weeks, I just relaxed at home. I slept in late every morning until my mom yelled at me to get out of bed. Then I'd stumble downstairs in my pajamas and plop down on the couch to watch TV and play video games all day long. Absolute heaven! My lazy days couldn't last forever though. My parents started nagging me that I needed to "get out and do something productive." Whatever, I thought rolling my eyes. But they insisted I find a summer activity to keep me busy. After a lot of research online, I decided to sign up for atwo-week computer coding camp. I've always been pretty good with computers and videogames, so I figured learning how toactually code and create my own programs would be fun. And it totally was!On the first day, I was a little nervous walking into the classroom. I didn't know anyone and I'd never coded before. But the instructor was really nice and made sure nobody felt left behind. We started super basic, just learning coding terminology and logic. Day by day, it got more and more challenging but also way more interesting.By the end of the two weeks, I had coded a bunch of little games and apps all by myself! I felt like a total computer genius. I was so proud of the skills I had learned and couldn't wait to show off my coding projects to my family and friends. Maybe I'll even be a professional coder when I grow up.After coding camp ended, my parents wanted to make sure I stayed active over the summer rather than turning into a complete couch potato. So a couple times a week, they made me go on hiking and biking trips with them around our city.I have to admit, as much as I protested at first, I ended up having a really great time. We explored so many awesome trails and parks that I never even knew existed just a short drive from our house. We spotted all kinds of cool wildlife too like deer, raccoons, and tons of neat birds.Hiking was a fantastic workout and made me feel super energized afterwards rather than sluggish from just sitting around all day. And biking was just straight-up fun. I loved feeling the wind rush through my hair as I raced down the paths dodging trees and rocks. A couple times I tried some little jumps and totally ate it, covering myself in dirt and scratches. But it was worth it for the adrenaline rush!My parents were right, as usual. Getting out into nature and being active was amazingly refreshing for my body and mind after being cooped up at school for so long. I came back feeling recharged and ready for the new school year.Of course, my summer couldn't be all just work and exercise with no pure relaxation time. In the final few weeks before school started up again, my family went on our annual trip down to the beaches in South Carolina to soak up the sun.I lived for those beach days. As soon as we arrived, I would race out of the car and dash across the burning hot sand towards the cool, welcoming waves of the ocean. I'd spend absolutely hours out there, riding the waves, searching for shells, and burying myself up to my neck in the sand. When I finally got tired, I'd lay out on the rough blanket and let the sun bake me into a golden-brown crisp while I read comics and slurped on an ice-cold lemonade. Sheer bliss!Night time was my favorite though. My family would build an evening bonfire right there on the beach, toasting marshmallows and watching the stars blink to life overhead one-by-one. The crashed of the waves became the soundtrack for my mom strumming her guitar and my dad telling cheesy jokes that had us all groaning but laughing too. Those sweet moments of simple family togetherness are what I'll remember most fondly from this summer. Not the videogames, coding, or even the suntans. Just us, the ocean, and each other's company. That was true happiness.Looking back now, this summer break couldn't have been more perfect if I had planned it myself. I got to veg out and recharge, yes, but I also accomplished cool new skills at coding camp and pushed my physical limits through hiking and biking. And of course, I made unforgettable memories with my family on our beach vacay.Summer may be over now, but I feel refreshed and reinvigorated, ready to tackle another year of school, friends, and growing up. This summer was exactly what I needed to transitioninto a newer, cooler, smarter version of myself. Can't wait to see what amazing adventures are waiting for me next!篇2Title: My Big FamilyHi there! My name is Xiao Ming and I'm going to tell you all about my huge family. Get ready because there are a lot of people to talk about!I live with my mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, two aunts, one uncle and four cousins in a big apartment building. Our home has five bedrooms but it still feels crowded sometimes with so many of us. My grandparents came from the countryside to live with us in the city after they retired from farming. My grandma is the best cook ever! She makes the most delicious dumplings, noodles and stir-fries. My favorite is her egg fried rice. Grandpa is really funny and always telling jokes to make us laugh. He also loves growing vegetables on our small balcony garden. Then there's my Aunt Mei who is a dentist. She's very kind and patient. Her son Deng Deng is the same age as me and we're best friends. We go to the same school and love playing basketball together after class. Deng Deng's little sister Xiao Xiaojust started preschool this year. She's super cute but also very noisy! My other aunt is Aunt Ling. She's a police officer and has to work long hours. She seems tough on the outside but is actually very caring. Aunt Ling's daughter Jingjing is the oldest cousin at 12 years old. Jingjing is really smart and good at math. She helps me a lot with my homework.Uncle Li is Aunt Ling's husband. He's a elementary school teacher. Sometimes he brings me and my cousins little gifts from the school stationery shop. Uncle Li is very gentle and calls us all "little buddies." Their son Lele is the youngest cousin, only 5 years old. He's a mischievous little guy and you have to keep an eye on him!As you can see, we're one big happy family living together. With so many people, our home is always lively and there's never a dull moment. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic too, like when we're all getting ready for school and work in the morning. But I love having my relatives so close by.My cousins are like siblings to me and we do everything together - study, play, eat, watch TV and go on trips. Grandma and Grandpa take care of us while our parents are at work. Theymake sure we behave and do our homework properly. And our aunts and uncle are always there to lend a hand too.During holidays and festivals is when our home is the most vibrant. We put up decorations, make special dishes, give red envelopes and set off firecrackers. Chinese New Year is the biggest celebration of course! The night before, we kids stay up late eating dumplings and watching the New Year's Gala show on TV with the whole family.I know having such a huge family living together is not very common these days. But I feel very lucky to be surrounded by so many loving relatives. We all look out for each other. My parents say I'm learning good values like respecting elders, helping others and being considerate.Sometimes the noises and lack of privacy can be annoying. And we do argue sometimes since we all have different personalities. But at the end of the day, we're family. Our bond is strong and we support each other no matter what. I can't imagine life any other way!I hope you enjoyed learning about my big, crazy but wonderful family. Having grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins all living together makes my childhood so much more fun and meaningful. When I grow up, I want to live close to myfamily too and keep our close-knit traditions alive. Family is everything!篇3My Seventh Grade English Textbook - Unit 4Hi there! My name is Lily and I'm in 7th grade. Today I want to tell you all about Unit 4 in my English textbook. It's my favorite unit so far!The unit is called "A Wider World" which I think is a really cool name. It's all about learning about different countries, cultures, and people around the world. I love learning about new places! The first part talks about Mexico. There are readings about the country, its geography, some famous landmarks like the Pyramids of Teotihuacán, and cool traditions like Día de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead). I didn't know much about Mexico before but now I find it really fascinating! My favorite thing we learned is about the Mexican story of the Quetzal bird. It's this brightly colored bird that was really important to the ancient Aztec and Maya people. They used its beautiful feathers for the cloaks of nobles and royalty. The story says if you capture a Quetzal bird, it will refuse to live in captivityand just let itself die! I think that shows how free-spirited and proud the Quetzal is. I definitely want to see one in real life someday. After Mexico, we moved on to learning about Australia. I already knew a few things about Australia like the Sydney Opera House, the Outback desert, and cool animals like kangaroos and koalas. But I didn't realize how huge Australia is - it's almost the same size as the continental United States! And most of it is desert or semi-arid land.We read about the Aboriginal people who have lived in Australia for over 50,000 years before Europeans arrived. Their cultures and traditions are so ancient and unique. I thought it was neat learning about Aboriginal dreamtime stories and artwork like the colorful dot paintings. Their connection to the land and nature is really amazing. My favorite thing we did for the Australia section was listening to traditional Aboriginal music and trying to play it ourselves using handmade instruments like the didgeridoo. It was hard getting the breathing and rhythms right at first, but once I got the hang of it, it was honestly really fun and relaxing to play along.Next up was learning about Brazil! This was probably my favorite country we covered. Brazil just seems like such a vibrant, festive place full of life. We learned about the huge Amazon rainforest, Carnival celebrations, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a martial art and dance form, and so much more. The highlight for me was reading the folk tales and fables from Brazilian storytelling traditions. My favorite was the story of the Saci, this one-legged kid trickster character who wears a magic red cap and smokes a pipe. He's constantly playing pranks but also protects the forests and animals. Just such a funny and unique character! I might dress up as the Saci next Halloween. We wrapped up the unit by talking about how people from all these different cultures can understand each other better through language learning, cultural exchange programs, and developing friendships across borders. It reminded me how lucky I am to be learning English and about other cultures at my school.Overall, I give Unit 4 two thumbs up! It really opened my eyes to some amazing countries and made me want to travel to see them myself one day. I feel like I know a lot more about the world after studying it.I hope you enjoyed learning a little about my favorite English unit so far this year. Let me know if you want to hear about any other units because I'd be happy to tell you! Unit 5 is all about inventions and discoveries - that one is pretty cool too. But we'll save that for next time. See you later!篇4My Summer VacationLast summer was so cool! I had the best time ever. First, my family and I went on a trip to Beijing. We saw so many amazing things there! In Beijing, we visited the Forbidden City. It's this huge palace where the emperors used to live a long, long time ago. I couldn't believe how big it was - it felt like a whole city inside the city! My little brother got lost for a while looking at all the different buildings and courtyards. We had to find a guard to help us find him. Oops! After the Forbidden City, we went to see the Great Wall of China. I had seen pictures but I didn't expect it to be so huge! It just went on forever, up and down the mountains. We hiked a little bit on the wall. It was really steep in some parts and my legsgot super tired. But the views were awesome from up there. You could see for miles and miles. My favorite part was visiting the pandas at the Beijing Zoo. They are so cute and cuddly looking! We watched them munching on bamboo and tumbling around playing. I even got to take a picture holding a baby panda. It was the most adorable thing ever. I want to have a pet panda now! After our Beijing trip, we went to stay with my grandparents in the countryside for a few weeks. It was fun but very different from Beijing. Instead of big cities and crowds, there were rice fields, rivers and forests near their village.Every morning I woke up to the sound of roosters crowing and birds chirping. The air smelled so fresh and clean. My grandpa taught me how to catch fish in the river with a net. We would bring them home and my grandma would fry them up for dinner. They tasted a million times better than fish from the store!In篇5My Favorite SeasonHi, my name is Xiao Ming and I'm going to tell you all about my favorite season - spring! Spring is the best season ever and I'll explain why.First of all, the weather in spring is perfect! It's not too hot and not too cold. In winter it's freezing and you have to wear a huge coat, hat and gloves. But in spring you can wear lighter clothes like a t-shirt and shorts. The temperature is just right - around 20°C most days. It's warm enough to play outside but not so hot that you get all sweaty.Another great thing about spring is that everything starts blooming. The trees grow new green leaves, flowers blossom everywhere and the grass turns a lovely shade of green again after the dull browns and grays of winter. My favorite flowers are the pink cherry blossoms - they are so beautiful when they bloom in early spring! The parks and gardens look so pretty and colorful. It makes me feel happy and energetic just looking at all the new life springing up around me.Spring also means I can play more games and sports outside after being cooped up indoors all winter. My friends and I love playing basketball, football, badminton and riding our bikes or skateboards in the park. The fresh spring air smells amazing too -like flowers and fresh grass. Much nicer than the heating and stuffy air inside during winter!Something else awesome about spring is all the holidays and festivals we get to celebrate. First up is the Qing Ming festival where we sweep the graves of our ancestors and fly colourful kites. Then there's Labour Day on May 1st which means no school! My favourite is actually the Duan Wu or Dragon Boat Festival in June. We get to eat delicious zongzi dumplings, watch the exciting dragon boat races and have fun wearing fancy clothes. But I think the number one reason why spring is the best is because of the new baby animals that are born! Every spring we get to see adorable newborn lambs, chicks, ducklings, calves, foals and rabbits. They are just SO CUTE and fluffy! I wish I could have a baby lamb as a pet. Watching the baby animals hop around and play makes me smile ear-to-ear. Don't you just want to cuddle them?Sure, you could argue that summer is great because it's hot and we have no school. Or that winter is fun because you can play in the snow. But in my opinion, nothing beats the newness, color and life of spring. That first warm day after a long winterwhen the jackets come off and everyone is out enjoying the sunshine is just pure happiness.Spring represents new beginnings, growth and rebirth after winter. It's a season of hope that things will get better and nature will be reborn again. The world just seems full of possibility in springtime. That's why I love spring the most - everything is fresh, vibrant and alive! Come spring, I'm happier, more energetic and ready to run and play under the sunny skies. Spring puts a big smile on my face. What about you - what's your favorite season? Whatever it is, I hope you'll agree that spring is pretty amazing. Just wait until you see those first cherry blossoms appear...you'll fall in love with spring too! Let me know if you need any more reasons why spring rules. For now, I'm off to fly a kite and eat some delicious zongzi. Spring is here, woohoo!。

My Awesome Summer VacationThis summer was totally awesome! I had so much fun and did a bunch of really cool things. First off, my family went on an amazing trip to the beach for a week in July. We stayed at this really nice hotel right on the ocean in Florida. Every morning I would wake up and go boogie boarding in the waves for a couple hours before it got too hot outside. The ocean was so refreshing and clear blue. I loved jumping over the waves and riding them back to shore. A few times I even saw some dolphins swimming not too far away!In the afternoons, we would hang out by the pool and I would play basketball and volleyball with my little brother and some other kids staying there. My parents would just lay out in the sun reading books and working on their tans. For dinner, we would always go to different beachside restaurants. My favorite was this Mexican place with the best tacos and burritos I've ever had. They gave you these huge baskets of tortilla chips and salsa that were so delicious. I probably ate like 3 baskets by myself every time we went there! On our last day at the beach, we rode jet skis which was an absolute blast. We got to cruise along the shoreline and even did some jumps over the waves. I wish I could have a jet ski at home because it was that fun. Although the salt water did make my hair all crunchy for the rest of the day! After our beach vacation, we came home for about a week before going up to our lake house in the mountains for another week. I always love going to the lake because it's way cooler temperature-wise than the beach, and you get to do different activities like hiking, fishing, and just relaxing in nature. My favorite hike is the one to the top of Bald Mountain which has amazing 360 degree views at the summit. It takes a few hours to do the whole trail, but it's so worth it once you get to the top. This year, I convinced my parents to let me do the hike by myself since I've done it so many times before. I packed a big lunch and all the supplies I would need like sunscreen, bug spray, and lots of water. It was such an awesome feeling of independence and accomplishment when I made it to the top all by myself and got to enjoy the incredible views.Later that week, we went whitewater rafting on the nearby river which was simultaneously terrifying and incredibly fun. Our guide was this hilarious college kid who kept making jokes thewhole time, even when we were about to go over some crazy rapids. At one point, our raft went over a huge drop and I thought we were gonna fly out into the river, but we managed to stay in somehow. I've never been more soaked or had a bigger adrenaline rush in my life. I can't wait to go rafting again next summer! On our last day at the lake, we always go to this old-school drive-in movie theater to catch a double feature under the stars. You get to park your car and watch the movies outside on a gigantic screen with a snack bar that has amazing milkshakes and chili dogs. This year we saw the new Marvel movie along with some comedy that was pretty funny. Sitting outside underneath a zillion stars in the warm summer air while watching great movies with my family is one of my absolute favorite things to do.Sadly, summer had to come to an end eventually. Although I was bummed to have to go back to school, I made sure to end it on a high note by having an awesome pool party and sleepover at my house with my closest friends. We swam and played games like chicken fight and marco polo for hours. Then we grilled up some burgers and hot dogs for dinner before having a epicgames night where we played video games and board games until super late.We ended up crashing around 2am after watching a scary movie that kept us up way too late. The next morning my mom made her famous chocolate chip pancakes and we all groggily ate breakfast together before everyone had to go home. It was such a blast and the perfect way to end one of the mostfun-filled and memorable summers ever. I made so many amazing new memories this year that I'll never forget! Now that I'm back in school, I can't wait for next summer to do it all over again. Summers go by way too fast if you ask me! Hopefully I'll get to go on another rad trip and have just as much fun as I did these last few months. If this summer was any indication, my life is going to continue to be filled with endless adventures and good times. Bring it on!。
