3．内容“凝练”：例如，一个六十多个字的道歉便条，表达的内容包括失约，原因，抱歉，再约四个言语行为浓缩在四句话里，平均使用12个词来表达，非常凝练。

日期：1．写便条的日期，如果题目给出，就写给出的日期，如果没有给出，就写参加考试那天的日期。

2．位置：一般写在便条的右上角。

偶尔也有写在便条的左上角，但是千万不要学中文格式，写在了签名的下面。

3．写法：年写在日月的后面。

月和日与年之间，通常用逗号隔开。

2012年4月21日，通常写成April 21, 2012; April 21st, 2012。

熟人之间也可以去掉年份。

在没有歧义的情况下，21/4/2012和4/21/2012也可以。

基本的是两种：“月日（基数词），年”如：“Apr. 10, 2010”或者“日（序数词）月年”如“1st Apr. 2010”。

稳妥起见，建议使用第一种，避免序数词的疏忽或者误拼，但要记得日年之间有逗号。

月份的写法，除May之外，可以用简写形式。

但要注意，六月Jun.和七月Jul.，为避免缩写的混乱，最好还是写全称。

称呼：对有一定社会距离的人，Dear Madam, Dear Sir, Dear Prof., Dear Mr. Smith, etc..对亲近的人，（Dear）Mary/Mom etc.一般以Dear开头。

写在日期下一两行处，留出左页边空白，顶格写。

考试题中出现的收便条人前加上Dear即可，有头衔时，要加头衔。

例如称呼Dear Dr. Smith,不能称Dear Smith。
