广东专插本英语历年英语作文真题
广东专插本英语历年英语作文真题My Big Sister and the Zhaunkou ExamHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 8 years old. I'm in 3rd grade at Sunshine Elementary School in Guangzhou. I love playing basketball, reading comic books, and eating my mom's delicious dumplings. But today I want to tell you about my big sister Meimei and how she studied really hard for the zhaunkou exam last year.Meimei is 22 years old and just finished her three-year program at Guangdong Technical College. The zhaunkou is a special exam that lets students from 3-year career colleges get admission into the last 2 years of a 4-year university bachelor's degree program. It's a big deal because a bachelor's degree opens up way more job opportunities. But the zhaunkou exam is super hard, especially the English part. For months, Meimei was staying up late every night, her desk piled high with textbooks, practice test papers, and tons of xiaohuoban (little yellow practice books). She made these crazy long vocabulary lists of all the big English words she needed to know. Our whole family would quiz her on the words at dinner -it was like a weird new tradition! Meimei also wrote practice essay after practice essay for the dreaded English writing section. One time, I snuck a peek at one of her practice essays. The topic was "If you could change one thing about your hometown, what would it be?" Meimei wrote all about how she would add more bike lanes and parks in Guangzhou to make it greener and more pedestrian-friendly. Her essay was so long and had such big vocabulary words - I could barely understand it! When I asked her what "urbanization" and "sustainable" meant, she just ruffled my hair and told me I'd learn when I was older. In the weeks before the big test day, Meimei was extremely stressed out. She would pace around the apartment mumbling English phrases under her breath. Sometimes she would randomly shout out "Arghhh, I don't know the past participle of that verb!" Mom, Dad and I didn't have a clue what she was talking about, but we made sure to stay out of her way. Finally, test day arrived. Meimei double and triple checked that she had enough pencils, her ID card, a watch, and a small snack packed in her bag. We all gave her a big hug before she headed out the door. Dad joked, "Don't worry, as long as you didn't forget how to say 'hello' in English, you'll be fine!" Meimei just rolled her eyes at him. After what felt like an eternity, Meimei finally came home later that evening. She looked exhausted but had a little smile on her face. "How was it?!" we all asked. She said the listening section was pretty tough, but she felt okay about the reading comprehension passages. The essay ended up being about some environmental issue, which was perfect since she had practiced writing so many essays about things like air pollution andeco-tourism.Then a few weeks later, Meimei got her test results in the mail. She had passed We були собі такий радий для неї! She officially got admitted into the final 2 years of the English major program at the big university downtown. No more would she have to stay up until midnight cramming English words and grammar rules! After all her hard work, Meimei totally deserved to take it easy for a while. Although I still sometimes hear her randomly shouting out "What's the past perfect continuous tense??" when she's cooking or cleaning. Old habits die hard I guess!Anyways, that's the story of how my amazing big sis Meimei conquered the super difficult zhaunkou English exam. I'm so proud of her determination and I know she's going to become an excellent English teacher someday. As for me, I'm just startingto learn simple English words like "apple" and "baseball" in school. Mastering all those crazy grammar things still seems lightyears away! But Meimei's example taught me that with enough hard work and perseverance, nothing is impossible. Well, I better get going now - I hear Mom calling us in for dumplings!。

广东专插本英语历年英语作文真题
广东专插本英语历年英语作文真题My Thoughts on English EssaysHello friends! My name is Xiaoming and I am a student in 5th grade. Today I want to share my thoughts about the English essay questions from past years' Guangdong zhuan kou ben exams. I really enjoy learning English and practicing my writing skills.First of all, I think the essay topics are quite interesting! Last year, one of the prompts asked students to discuss their favorite holiday and explain why it is meaningful to them. For that question, I would write about Chinese New Year. I love Chinese New Year because it is a special time when my whole family gets together. We have a huge feast with all my favorite dishes like dumplings, noodles, and sweet rice balls. After dinner, my cousins and I get lovely red envelopes filled with money from the adults. We also watch the New Year's Gala show on TV together. The best part is that we get two whole weeks off from school to celebrate! I look forward to Chinese New Year every year.Another essay prompt from a few years ago asked students to describe their favorite teacher and explain what makes that teacher so special. My favorite teacher is Mr. Wang, my Englishteacher. He always makes classes fun by having us play games and sing songs in English. He is also very kind and patient. Whenever I am struggling with a concept, he takes the time to work with me one-on-one until I understand. He encourages all of us students and praises our efforts, no matter how small. Thanks to his engaging lessons and supportive teaching style, I have grown much more confident in my English abilities. I think having a teacher you admire can really inspire you to work harder.Yet another past essay topic invited students to discuss a skill or ability they would like to develop in the future. For this one, I would write about my dream of becoming a talented artist one day. Even though I am just a young kid now, I have always loved drawing, painting, and crafting. I find the process of creating art to be incredibly rewarding and relaxing. My ultimate goal is to become skilledl enough to have my artwork displayed in a gallery or museum. I would love for people from all around the world to be able to appreciate my creations. Of course, becoming a professional artist requires years of practice, training, and dedication. However, I am willing to put in the effort because making art brings me so much joy and satisfaction. I plan to take as many art classes as I can and constantly work to improve my techniques. As you can see, the Guangdong zhuan kou ben English essay topics allow students to write about aspects of their personal lives and experiences. We get to share our perspectives, hopes and dreams through our writing. In my opinion, that is one of the best ways to practice English - by writing about subjects that are meaningful and relevant to us as individuals. The essay portion of the exam also tests our abilities to develop and organize coherent, well-structured pieces of writing that express our thoughts clearly. We must be able to state our main ideas, provide supporting details and examples, and arrange everything in a logical order. These are crucial skills to master, not just for excelling at English exams, but for effective communication in general. One piece of advice I would give to other students preparing for the zhuan kou ben English essays is: write practice essays regularly! The more we write, the more comfortable we become with constructing sentences and paragraphs in English. It's also helpful to have teachers, parents, or friends provide feedback on our practice essays. They can point out areas that need improvement, such as vocabulary usage, grammar mistakes, or places where our ideas lack clarity. Taking their suggestions toheart and continuously revising our work is key to making progress.Another useful tip is to read as many sample essays by other students as possible. Seeing how others have approached and answered the same prompts can spark ideas for our own writing. We can analyze what makes certain essays effective and try to apply those techniques ourselves. For instance, we might notice that the best essays tend to open with an attention-grabbing hook, incorporate vivid descriptive details, and havewell-developed conclusions that leave a lasting impression.Overall, I actually find the Guangdong zhuan kou ben English essay questions to be quite enjoyable! They allow us to exercise our creativity while sharpening our writing abilities. Although the exams can certainly be challenging, preparing for them has helped me grow tremendously as an English student and writer.Well, those are my thoughts for now. Let me know if you have any other questions! I'll do my best explain further. Thank you for taking the time to read my perspective. Study hard, keep practicing, and I'm sure you will all do wonderfully on your English essay exams!。

2001年广东专插本英语真题
2001年广东省普通高等学校本科插班生考试英语试题Part I. Reading Comprehension(40%)Passage OneDid you know that the empty plastic soft drink bottles you throw away every day can be turned into carpet or automobile parts ?That used glass bottles and aluminum cans can be turned into new ones? And that yesterday’s newspaper can be turned into tomorrow’s ?It all happens because of recycling .This simple waste we throw away is a “natural resource” that , with recycling, can be used to produce a variety of mew products.Unfortunately, America recycles only 10% of its rubbish ,burns 10% and deposits (存放)80% in waste disposal grounds. As a result , it has to cope with a serious solid waste problem.Every year, Americans throw away about 160 million tons of rubbish. Of that total, plastics make up less than 8% , paper about 36% , and glass and metal about 20% , all by weight . Plastics are naturally lighter, but still, when pressed together, account for only about 20% by volume(体积).As a result, in the past 10 years the United States’ waste disposal grounds have decreased from about 18, 500 to 6,000. In five years 2,000 more will close. In the process of finding solutions, some people have proposed to stop using plastics.Unfortunately, stopping using plastics would do much harm and no good. We would lose all of the safety, health and convenience features of plastics.Besides, packaging(包装) would still be needed. A1987 study shows what would happen if plastics were not used---the energy needed to produce other packaging, its cost, and the volume of waste collected would all rise greatly. Some Americans believe part of the answer to Ameri ca’s waste problem lies in recycling everything from glass to metals to paper to plastic.Today, recycling is on the rise. There are now more than 1,000 waste recycling programs in the U. S. Many are beginning to recycle plastics.Right now, almost 200 companies are recycling millions of used plastic containers into toys, traffic signs, wastebaskets, floor materials, and park benches.Plastics are among the easiest materials to recycle. More than 150 million pounds or 20% of all plastic soft drink bottles were recycled in 1987.1. What can’t the plastic soft drink bottle be turned into?A. NewspapersB. Automobile partsC. ToysD. Traffic signs2. Of all the rubbish in the U.S. , plastics account for ____by weight and ____by volume.A. 20%, 20%B. 8%, 20%C. 36%, 8%D. 20%, 36%3. The author of this passage ____the proposal of stopping using plastics.A. says nothing aboutB. is sympathetic withC. agrees toD. disagrees toPassage TwoSleep is something we generally associate with living persons or animals. Of course, it is true that a lot of animals sleep, but zoologists are not certain that primitive forms of animals’ life, like worms, ever really sleep. On the other hand animals such as bears sleep for 4 or 5 months every year. The amount of sleep human beings need varies with people of different ages, habits and possible races. For example, doctors think that pre-school children need between 10 and 12 hours a night; school children between 9 and 11 hours; and adults between 7 and 9 hours. There are rare cases of old people who only sleep between 2 and 3 hours a day and continue to be active and healthy. The sleep requirements of different races also appear to be different. Japanese people, for example, sleep fewer than Europeans. It is not known for certain if the activity of a man’s mind (besides dreaming) occurs when he is asleep. However, it is certainly true that some people can wake up at a pre-determined time. There are also stories about some maths professors who solve difficult problems during sleep, because their subconscious minds continue working on the problem.6.The passage is about ______.A. how many hours of sleep different people need every dayB. some kinds of dreams people haveC. how to make use of man’s subconscious mindsD. sleep and the activity of a man’s mind during his sleep7.According to the author, ______.A. an Englishman usually sleeps more than a Japanese doesB. every year bears sleep 4 or 5 months more than wormC. some worms sleep more than babiesD. a Japanese usually sleeps more than an Englishman8.Which of the following is TRUE according to this passage?A. The more a student sleeps, the healthier he is.9.When a man is asleep, his subconscious mind ______.A. wakes up at onceB. begins to solve difficult problemsC. may still be workingD. stops working10.The author believes that ______.A. the activity of a man’s mind occurs when he is asleepB. human beings can control the amount of sleep they needC. some primitive forms of animal life also sleepD. some people can solve some problems in dreamsPassage ThreeWhy don’t birds get lost on their long flights from one place to another? Scientists have puzzled over this question for many years. Now they’re beginning to fill in the blank. Not long ago, experiments showed that birds rely on the sun to guide them during daylight hours. But what about birds that fly by night? Tests with artificial stars have proved that certain night-flying birds are able to follow the stars in their long-distance flights.A dove had spent its lifetime in a cage and had never flown under a natural sky. Yet it showed an inborn ability to use the stars for guidance. The bird’s cage was placed under an artificial star-filled sky. The bird tried to fly in the same direction as that taken by his outdoor cousins. And change in the position of the artificial stars caused a change in the direction of his flight. But the stars are apparently their principal means of navigation. When the stars are hidden by clouds, they apparently find their way by such landmarks as mountain ranges, coast lines, and river courses. But when it’s too dark to see these, the doves circle helplessly, unable to find their way.11.The reason that birds don’t get lost on long flights ____.A. have been known to scientists for yearsB. have only recently been discoveredC. are known by everyoneD. will probably remaina mystery12.During daylight hours, birds ____.A. fly aimlesslyB. rely on landmarksC. use sun for guidanceD. are more likely to get lost13.By “his outdoor cousins” the author means ____.A. other experimentersB. the other doves of the same broodC. doves under the natural skyD. other birds in general14.The experiment with the dove indicated that ____.A. birds have to be taught to navigateB. a bird that has been caged will not fly long distancesC. some birds cannot fly at nightD. some birds seem to follow the stars when they fly at night15.In total darkness, doves ____.A. use landmarksB. don’t know which way to flyC. fly back homeD. wait for the stars to appearPassage FourI had not announced my arrival to Stroeve and when I rang the bell of his studio, on opening the door himself, for a moment he did not know me, Then he gave a cry of delighted surprise and drew me in. It was charming to be welcomed with so much eagerness. His wife was seated near the stove at her sewing and she rose as I came in. He introduced me.He had the same absurd ( 令人发笑的) appearance that I remembered. He was a fat little man, with short legs, young still ( he could not have been more than thirty ) but prematurely bald ( 过早秃顶) . His face was perfectly round and he had a very high color, a white skin, red cheeks and red lips. His eyes were blue and round too, he wore large gold-rimmed glasses and his eyebrows were so fair that you could not see them. He reminded you of those happy, fat businessmen that Rubens painted.Mrs. Stroeve sat quietly mending her stockings, without talking, and she listened to all he said with a quiet smile on her lips.“So, you see, I’m married,” he said suddenly; “what do you think of my wife?”“Really, Dirk,” said Mrs Stroeve, smiling.“But isn’t she wonderful? I t ell you, my boy, lose no time; get married as soon as ever you can, I’m the happiest msn alive. Look at her sitting there. Doesn’t she make a picture? Chardin, eh? I’ve seen all the most beautiful women in the world; I’ve never seen anyone more beautiful t han Madame Dirk Stroeve.”“If you don’t be quiet, Dirk, I shall go away.”“My darling,” he said. She was rather tall and her gray dress was simple and quite well-cut, Her hair, brown and plentiful, was plainly done, her face was very pale and her features(面貌) were good without being distinguished. She had quiet gray eyes. She just missed being beautiful and in missing it was not even pretty. But when Stroeve spoke of Chardin it was without reason, and she reminded me curiously of that pleasant housewife in her cap and apron whom the great painter has given the fame to. I could imagine her busy among her pots and pans, making her household duties; I didn’tsuppose that she was clever or could ever be amusing, but there was something in her grave intentness(严肃专注的精神) which excited my interest. She was very silent, but when she spoke it was with a pleasant voice, and her manners were natural.16.“For a moment he didn’t know me.” This is because ____.A. they didn’t know each other wellB. it was sometime since they last metC. he couldn’t see the author clearly without glassesD. he pretended not to know him so as to give him a surprise17.Why did Mrs. Stroeve say “Really, Dirk”? 广东专插本英语历年英语作文真题
广东专插本英语历年英语作文真题My Life as an Elementary StudentHi there! My name is Lily and I'm a 10-year-old student in the 5th grade. I love going to school and learning new things every day. Let me tell you all about my life as an elementary student!A Typical DayMy day usually starts at around 6:30 am when my mom comes into my room and gently wakes me up. I get dressed, brush my teeth, and head to the kitchen for a yummy breakfast. My favorite is waffles with strawberries and whipped cream! After breakfast, my mom packs a healthy lunch for me with a sandwich, fruits, veggies, and a juice box.At 7:30 am, I put on my backpack and walk to the bus stop near my house. The school bus arrives at 7:45 am sharp and I hop on, waving bye to my mom. On the bus, I chat and laugh with my friends. We talk about the latest movies, video games, or whatever is on our minds that day.School starts at 8:15 am and the first class is usually math or language arts. I really enjoy math because I'm good at solvingproblems and using logic. Language arts is fun too as we get to read creative stories and write our own compositions. We have a short snack break at 10 am where I munch on an apple or granola bar from my lunchbox. Then it's time for science, social studies, or an elective class like art, music or P.E. I especially love P.E. as I get to run around and play games with my classmates. The lunch period is at 12 pm and I head to the cafeteria with my friends. We have decent food like pizza, burgers, or pasta but my homemade lunch is usually better! After lunch, we have recess for 30 minutes where I can let off some energy on the playground before afternoon classes. In the afternoon, we have more core classes like science or social studies. Sometimes we watch educational videos or do fun experiments. My favorite was when we built volcano models and made them "erupt" with baking soda and vinegar! At 3 pm, it's finally time to go home. I board the bus and it drops me off near my house around 3:30 pm. As soon as I get home, I have a snack like graham crackers with peanut butter or apple slices while telling my parents about my day. After my snack, I start on my homework which usually takes 1-2 hours. I try to finish it before dinner so I can relax and play afterwards. Sometimes I have tests or projects to study for too.In the evenings, I love playing outside if the weather is nice. My friends and I ride our bikes, jump on the trampoline, or play freeze dance and tag. If it's raining, we play video games or board games inside. My bedtime is at 9 pm but before that, I take a warm bath or shower. I also read books that I borrowed from the school library. Then I snuggle under my covers while my mom reads me a bedtime story until I drift off to sleep.School Breaks and ActivitiesWhile I do enjoy going to school, I absolutely love when we have breaks or holidays! During winter break in December, my family and I love driving around neighborhoods to see all the beautiful Christmas light displays. We also bake lots of yummy treats like cookies and hot chocolate. For spring break in April, we sometimes go on a trip to a new city or state park. Last year, we went camping and hiked some trails through the woods. We also had a fun Easter egg hunt in the backyard. My favorite break is summer vacation which lasts for 2-3 months. I get to go to summer camp for a few weeks where I do awesome activities like swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, and performing camp skits or songs. The rest of summer, I spend quality time with my family going to the beach, barbecues, or the movies. When I'm not on break, I also participate in after-school activities a few days per week. On Mondays, I take a dance class where I'm learning ballet, jazz, and hip hop dance styles. Tuesdays are for my art class where we get to paint, draw,。

ToysD. I tell you, my boy, lose no time; get married as soon as ever you can, I’m the happiest msn alive. Look at her sitting there. Doesn’t she make a picture? Chardin, eh? I’ve seen all the most beautiful women in the world; I’ve neve r seen anyone more beautiful than Madame Dirk Stroeve.”“If you don’t be quiet, Dirk, I shall go away.”“My darling,” he said.
