Ambition, this word is very familiar for us. Ambition is the desire or determination to be successful, rich and powerful. We all should have ambition. Without ambition, it would appear a world which is no demands, no abrasions, and no disappointments. Competition would never enter in. there will be little initiative, creativity, or passion. Conflict would be eliminated. Anxiety would be extinct. Fewer people would die of a fierce fighting. Without any issues such as work issues or unstable relationships can weight you down. But at that time, how unrelievedly boring life would be? So ambition is essential to our life. It seems impossible to evaluate the benefits we can get from ambition.

First, ambition spurs us to struggle for the better life. As the result of having ambition, you’ll try you best to do anything that can achieve your goals. For example, some people want to raise living standers. Some people want the better working environment and someone wants the higher salaries. With ambition in minds, people know clearly what they desire and what they want to their life to be.

Second, ambition can become the continual source of our strength. What ever your ambition is, the way to achieve it is not always even. To get where you want, you must have to face setbacks one after another. What can give us the strength to overcome obstacles and to hold on? The answer is ambition. It can infuse strength into your limbs and ideas into your brain when you are weary. Because of our ambition we can always have power to fight like warrior and hack our way through difficulties.

Finally, ambition can help us choose what we should do. We always face choices. One wrong step and you fall down the cliff. Thus it can be seen that it is very important to us to find the right direction. We do not choose our parents. We do not choose the immediate circumstances of our upbringing. But within all this realm of choicelessness, we do choose how we shall live: courageously or in cowardice, honorably or dishonorably, with purpose or in drift. Ambition can help you do the right choices.

In a word, we can not live in a world short of ambition. We also need to be hardworking, persistent, and courageous. Because of having ambition, we’ll have a powerful incentive to complete anything.
