Dhobi Ghat is another major landmark in Mumbai. It is not only the world’s largest outdoor laundry, but also home to one of the biggest laundrymen communities in India. Over the years, Dhobi Ghat has become a major tourist attraction, especially among foreign travelers who love to walk around the area and get to know more about the community.

Brief history
1.In 1534, Mumbai is a group of islands consisting of seven islets, and it belongs to Portuguese. 2.In 1661, Portuguese give these islands to England when princess Catherine married to Charles II of England. 3.In 1817, Hornby Vellard project build a causeway uniting all seven islands into a single island with a deep natural harbour. 4.in 1869, the opening of the Suez Canal transformed Mumbai into one of the largest seaports on the Arabian Sea. 5.in 1906, it became the second largest city in India. 6. It is the main base of the Indian independence movement, and After India became independent, the city became the capital of Bombay state.

This monument represented the grandeur of the British Raj in India.
