1. Definition of Academic Presentation 1) Academic presentation is a structured, prepared and speechbased means of communicating information, ideas, or arguments to an audience. 2) It is a formal talk to one or more persons that “presents” ideas or information in a clear, structured way. All presentations have a common objective: they are given in order to inform, train, persuade or sell. The key factors of any successful presentation are: the audience; the contents of the presentation itself; and the presenter.

Perhaps your team provided a computer simulation of its use, or collected some data by questionnaire and some other quantitative methods. Perhaps your team were involved in the aerodynamics(空气 动力学), or constructed a model by using a new material for the cover — or any other aspect of the project. Work cooperatively and write a research paper for your group presentation, to be reported in the International Conference on Innovation of Technology (世界技术创新 大会) • The title of your presentation: A Mask for Protecting People from Pollution. • Follow the requirements as closely as possible; make sure your presentation contains the five main components and try out some formal usage of words and expressions.
