Unit 3 Knowledge and Skills

Teaching aims:

In this unit, students are supposed to

▪know how to talk about learning in daily life;

▪master the basic language to express reassuring and persuading;

▪understand the main idea of Text A, and master the useful sentence structures and words and expressions;

▪master the phonetic skill: assimilation;

▪know substantive clause;

▪know how to write “A Postcard”.

Task 1 Study the pictures and discuss the questions below in small groups. Use the words given below if necessary.

Leaky

a. having holes or cracks that allow liquid or gas to escape

e.g. Water came from the leaky roo
