First of all, I'd like to say thank you. Thank you for not only accepting me as your Patron but thank you also for inviting me here today. You have all made me feel so welcome and I feel hugely honoured to be here to see this wonderful centre.I am only sorry that William can't be here today; he would love it here. A view of his - that I share - is that through teamwork, so much can be achieved. What you have all achieved here is extraordinary. You as a community have built the Treehouse; a group of people who have made every effort to support and help each other. When I first visited the Hospice in Milton, I had a pre-conceived idea as to what to expect. Far from being a clinical, depressing place for sick children, it was a home. Most importantly, it was a family home, a happy place of stability, support and care. It was a place of fun.Today I have seen again that the Treehouse is all about family and fun. For many, this is a home from home - a lifeline, enabling families to live as normally as possible, during a very precious period of time. What you do is inspirational, it is a shining example of the support and the care that is delivered, not just here, but in the children's hospice movement at large, up and down the country. The feelings you inspire - feelings of love and of hope - offer a chance to families to live a life they never thought could be possible. So thank you again for inviting me here today. I feel enormously proud to be part of East Anglia's Children's Hospices and to see the wonderful life-changing work that you do. Thank you.

I often get asked why I decided to spend time highlighting the mental health of children. I imagine my answer might be similar to many of yours. I know that I was lucky. My parents and teachers provided me with a wonderful and secure childhood where I always knew I was loved, valued and listened to.

But of course many children are not so lucky. Since beginning my work in areas like addiction, for example, I have seen time and time again that the roots of poor mental health in adulthood are almost always present in unresolved childhood challenges.

It is with great pride and honor that I stand before you today as a member of the British royal family, and as a British citizen. I am here to share with you my thoughts and feelings about the love I have for my country, and to express my unwavering commitment to its future.First and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Britain for their unwavering support and loyalty to the monarchy. The British royal family has been a symbol of stability and continuity for centuries, and it is because of the people's faith in us that we are able to serve and represent them.As a British citizen, I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel the world and see the diverse and beautiful cultures that exist in our global community. However, no matter where I go, I am always reminded of the special place that Britain holds in my heart. It is a country with a rich history, a vibrant culture, and a people who are known for their resilience and sense of humor. The history of Britain is a story of triumphs and challenges, of courage and compassion. From the legendary King Arthur to the Tudor monarchs, from the Victorian era to the modern day, Britain has been at the forefront of many of the world's greatest achievements. We have built great cities, invented life-changing technologies, and fought for the freedom and rights of others. But history is not just about the past. It is also about the present and the future. And it is in this spirit that I want to speak about the importance of national pride and the role that each of us plays in shaping the future of our country. One of the things that I have always admired about Britain is its sense of community. We are a nation of people who care deeply about each other and who are always willing to lend a helping hand. This sense of unity and cooperation is what has allowed us to overcome many of the challenges that we have faced over the years. However, there are times when we need to be reminded of the importance of standing together. In recent years, our world has become increasinglydivided, and it is easy to feel isolated and overwhelmed by the news. But as citizens of Britain, we have a responsibility to come together and support each other, to work towards a common goal of creating a better future for our children and grandchildren. One of the ways that we can do this is by fostering a sense of national pride. National pride is not about arrogance or self-satisfaction. It is about recognizing the achievements of our country and celebrating the values that make us unique. It is about being proud of our history, our culture, and our people. As a nation, we have much to be proud of. Britain has been a leader in science, technology, and innovation. We have been at the forefront of human rights and social justice. We have been a source of inspiration and hope for people around the world. But we must not become complacent. The world is changing rapidly, and we must continue to adapt and evolve. We must be prepared to face the challenges that lie ahead, and we must do so with courage and determination. As we move forward, we must also remember that our success as a nation depends on the strength of our communities. It is not enough to focus on individual achievements. We must also work together to create a society that is fair, just, and inclusive. We must ensure that everyone has the opportunity to succeed and to contribute to the common good. This means that we must also work to bridge the divides that exist in our society. We must listen to each other, respect each other, and understand each other. We must work together to create a more tolerant and compassionate society, where people of all backgrounds and beliefs can live together in peace and harmony. In conclusion, I want to urge each and every one of you to take pride in your country, to celebrate its achievements, and to work together to create a brighter future. As a British citizen, I am proud of the values that define us as a nation, and I am committed to serving and representing the people of Britain with all my heart and soul.Let us stand together, united in our love for our country, and let us work together to build a future that is filled with hope, opportunity, and prosperity for all.Thank you.。

It is with great honor and profound gratitude that I stand before you today, as a representative of the British Royal Family, to share withyou my reflections on our nation's rich history, its present challenges, and the unwavering spirit of our people. As the Duchess of [Your Title], it is my duty to support the Queen andto represent her interests and values. Today, I wish to address you on a topic that is close to my heart: the love and pride we, as a nation, have for our country, the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom, with its diverse cultures, languages, and traditions, is a nation that has been shaped by centuries of history. From the majestic ruins of Stonehenge to the bustling streets of London, our country is a tapestry of stories that tell of our resilience, courage, and ingenuity. Our history is one of triumphs and trials. We have seen the rise andfall of empires, the exploration of new worlds, and the birth of modern democracy. Through it all, our people have remained united by a common bond—a love for our country and a desire to build a better future for ourselves and our children.Ladies and gentlemen, our nation's strength lies not just in itsmilitary might or economic power, but in the spirit of our people. It is the courage of our ancestors who braved the unknown, the ingenuity ofour inventors who changed the world, and the compassion of our citizens who give selflessly to those in need.Today, we find ourselves at a critical juncture in our nation's history. The world is changing rapidly, and with these changes come challengesthat we must face together. As we stand at this crossroads, it is more important than ever to remember our roots, to cherish our heritage, and to embrace the values that have defined us as a nation.First and foremost, we must cherish our unity. The United Kingdom is a mosaic of different cultures and backgrounds, each contributing to the rich tapestry that is our nation. It is this diversity that has made us strong, and it is this diversity that we must protect and nurture. As we celebrate our differences, we must also recognize the common values that bind us together. These values include respect for each other, the rule of law, and a commitment to justice and equality. It is through these values that we can overcome the divisions that threaten to tear us apart. We must also be vigilant in protecting our democracy. Our forebears fought hard to secure the rights and freedoms that we enjoy today. It is our duty to ensure that these hard-won rights are preserved for future generations. We must stand up for our democratic principles, defend the rule of law, and support the institutions that hold our nation together.Furthermore, we must never underestimate the power of education. Knowledge is the key to progress, and it is through education that we can empower our citizens to shape a brighter future for our country. As we invest in our schools and universities, we must also encourage aspirit of curiosity, innovation, and critical thinking. As we look to the future, we must not forget the importance of our environment. The beauty of our country is not just a source of pride but also a responsibility. We must act now to protect our natural resources, combat climate change, and ensure that future generations can enjoy the same wonders that we do.Ladies and gentlemen, our country has faced adversity before, and we have always emerged stronger. Whether it was the great wars, the financial crises, or the challenges of modern-day globalization, our people have shown incredible resilience and determination. In these uncertain times, let us remember that our strength lies in our unity, our values, and our shared commitment to our nation. Let us be the generation that not only preserves our heritage but also builds a future that is fair, just, and prosperous for all.As we face the challenges ahead, let us draw inspiration from the words of our great nation's poets and philosophers. From the bravery of Shakespeare's characters to the wisdom of our modern thinkers, our culture has always been a source of strength and guidance. In conclusion, I urge each and every one of you to embrace your role as a citizen of this great nation. Let us work together to foster a spirit of unity, to uphold our values, and to build a future that is worthy of our ancestors and our children. Our country is a beacon of hope, a place where dreams are realized and where possibilities are endless. With love and pride in our hearts, let us continue to write the next chapter of our nation's history, together.Thank you. God bless the United Kingdom.。

Good evening.Like many of you here tonight, I remember visiting the Natural History Museum as a child, and being inspired with a love of nature. And now, as a parent myself, I am experiencing the joy all over again with my own children, who adore coming here, and it’s not just to see the T-Rex – mind you.Who could fail to be inspired standing here in this wonderful hall. It is so fitting to see the ocean now taking centre stage, with many other marine specimens as star attractions in this splendid Hintze Hall.As we are increasingly learning, marine conservation is a global challenge, for all nations and for all people.I, personally, have always been in awe of the sea. As someone who has been fortunate to experience scuba diving, something I love doing, and seeing the incredible marine life,I have come to care deeply about the under-life waters and our conservation of our oceans.Sir David Attenborough has famously talked about thefact that people will not protect what they don’t first careabout, and will not care about what they have never experienced. This idea lies at the heart of the new Hintze Hall design. AsI stand here tonight, I have every confidence that this spectacular display will go a long way – not only to inspirea new generation, but it will also encourage us all to thinkabout and care for our marine life. Our Blue Whale, Hope, at the heart of the museum willhelp the millions of visitors that come here each year experience the wonders of our oceans. So, as Patron of the Natural History Museum, it givesme great pleasure to declare the new Hintze Hall open.I now have the honour of introducing a great friend ofthis Museum, and somebody who has perhaps done more thananybody else on the planet to inspire a love of nature – SirDavid Attenborough.。

They ask questions like “Do you hav e any brothers or sisters?”, “Where do you work?”, “What school do you go to?”,and “Do you like sports?” They also ask questions like “Where do you come from?” and “Where do you live?” These are polite questions. They are not personal private. But some things are personal or private, and questions about them are not polite. People don’t ask questions about a person’s salary. They don’t ask how much someone paid for something. It is also not polite to ask older people their age. It’s also not polite to ask people questions about politics or religion unless you know them very well. 00:0004:59As I look around the room, I see so many friendly faces: friends who have shared with me their knowledge, and who have answered my questions patiently whilst I’ve interrogated them in my endeavour to learn about this complex range of issues.· Academic colleagues who have shown me their ground-breaking research into the causes of perinatal and post-natal depression, and how they are addressing these in the clinic;· Those who I have visited over the years who provide crucial links within the community, and whose services help families with essential parenting support and guidance;·and other wonderful organisations which have done so much to improve support for the emotional wellbeing of children in their schools.I could name so many of you, but I’m utterly grateful to you all for giving your time and your wisdom so freely. We all know just how important childhood is and how the early years shape us for life. We also know how negative the downstream impact can be, if problems emerging at the youngest age are overlooked, or ignored. It is therefore vital that we nurture children through this crucial, early period. But as we’ve heard, at what stage in a child’s development could we, or should we, intervene, to break the inter-generational cycle of disadvantage? The more I have heard, the more I am convinced that the answer has to be: ‘early’ and ‘the earlier, the better’.In fact, it would seem that we cannot intervene early enough. We do need mental health support in primary schools before the biological changes and academic pressures of adolescence kick in.We also need a focus on parenting and family support, so that parents feel able to get their children ‘school-ready’, and are confident that they themselves can cope with the mental and emotional needs of their own children. We need to highlight how important it is to support mothers, too, potentially before they even give birth. They need to be aware how vulnerable they might be and, critically, know where they can find help for themselves, as well as for their babies and toddlers. But potentially, we could start to look even earlier, by teaching parenting and relationship skills to teenagers, to get the next generation of parents child-ready, well before they have to put these skills into practice. After listening to those working in this complex area, my own vie w is that children’s experiences in their early years are fundamental. They lay the foundations not only for healthy outcomes during the teenage years, but also for adulthood.Addressing the issues only when they take root later in life results in huge detriment; detriment to the healthcare, educationand social support systems in our country; but, perhaps more importantly, detriment to future generations over the long term.In 2011, Graham Allen, who, I think, is here with us today, wrote a report for Government on the need for early intervention.I hope, Graham, you don’t mind me quoting from your report, in which you referred to the cycle of deprivation and dysfunction, from generation to generation. There, you said that, “If we intervene early enough, we can give children a vital social and emotional foundation, which will help to keep them happy, healthy and achieving throughout their lives and, above all, equip them to raise children of their own.”I could not agree more.Because these a re ‘lifetime’ issues, they require a very long-term perspective. But these issues are also complex andmulti-sided, so they need integrated, collective approaches to create real impact. This is what I am so keen to explore. We are here today because we all believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life.I have therefore entrusted The Royal Foundation…under the leadership of Aida, to gather a group of experts to develop the thinking in this critical area: experts and partners to build upon existing work, and to look at developing sustainable solutions which will help deliver our shared ambitions.Providing children in their earliest years with social and emotional security builds strong foundations which last a lifetime.I really do feel so passionately about the importance of early intervention, and that, while by working on new approaches together, we can make a real difference for generations to come.Thank you.。

Ladies and gentlemen,It is an honor to be here today at the Malaysian Hospice and Palliative Care Association. I would like to begin by thanking everyone here for the incredible work that you do, and for inviting me to speak today. As a member of the royal family, I have had the privilege of traveling to many different countries and meeting countless wonderful people along the way. One of the things that has struck me most is the incredible resilience and strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity. I have seen this firsthand in the work that you do, and it has been a great inspiration to me.The theme of my talk today is the art of public speaking. As you can imagine, this is a skill that I have had to develop over the course of my time in the public eye. Speaking in front of large crowds can be intimidating, but it is also incredibly rewarding. It allows you to connect with people on a deep level, to inspire them, and to share important messages and ideas. There are many different techniques that can be used to become a better public speaker. Some of these include:- Know your audience. Before you speak, take the time to research and understand the people you will be speaking to. This will help you to tailor your message to their interests and concerns, and to connect with them on a more personal level.- Use storytelling. Human beings are wired to respond to stories. By sharing personal anecdotes or examples from your own life, you can make your message more relatable and engaging.- Practice, practice, practice. One of the most important things you can do to improve your public speaking skills isto practice in front of others. This will help you toidentify areas where you need to improve, and to build confidence in your abilities.- Use visuals. Whether it is a slideshow, a video, or a prop, visuals can be incredibly effective in helping toconvey your message. They can also help to break up a long speech and keep your audience engaged.- Be authentic. One of the most important things you can do as a public speaker is to be true to yourself. Speak from the heart, and don't be afraid to show your emotions. This will help to build trust and connection with your audience. In conclusion, I would like to thank everyone here once again for the incredible work that you do. Your dedication and compassion make a real difference in the lives of so many people, and it is an honor to be able to share this message with you today. I hope that these tips on public speakingwill be helpful to you as you continue to share your important work with the world. Thank you.。

First of all, I'd like to say thank you. Thank you for not only accepting me as your Patron but thank you also for inviting me here today.
You have all made me feel so welcome and I feel hugely honoured to be here to see this wonderful centre.
I am only sorry that William can't be here today; he would love it here.
It was a place of fun.
Today I have seen again that the Treehouse is all about family and fun.
Thank you.。
