1. How do you usually go to school? Why?

I usually go to school by bus in the morning because it costs me a little money and it always takes me about thirty minutes to get to school. What’s more, taking a taxi to go to school in the mornin g isn’t too fast and I have to spend more on it.

But in the evening I would like to go home by taxi instead of taking the bus. Every day the buses are crowded with people and I have no room to stand on. Because of that, I don’t like to go home by bus. Above all, we students always leave school late, so I want to get home quickly. In the evening the buses move much more slowly than the taxis, even if I have to cost more.

2. Can you say something that makes you happy?（两件事情）

First, Surfing the Internet makes me happy. Surfing the Internet is convenient to chat with my friends and other people. We can do lots of things on the Internet. We can get the useful information, watch movies, listen to music and so on. So surfing the Internet makes me happy. Second, playing basketball makes me happy. I often play basketball on weekend. Playing basketball is good for our health and it’s a good way to relax ourselves. If we are stressed out, we can have a rest by playing basketball. So, playing basketball also makes me happy.

3. Do you have friends? Say something about one of them please.

Passage 1: Yes, I have many good friends. ,my best friend is Lily. She is very popular at school. Because she is really friendly to people and she usually helps me with my math. When I feel sad, she always tells me funny stories to make me happy. I believe we can be the best friends forever. Passage 2: I have lots of friends, and my best friend is my class monitor. We are in the same group. She is tall and has black long hair. She is good at study and has good grades. I often study with her. She helps me a lot. When I am in trouble, she always teaches me how to solve them. She is friendly to everybody and all my classmates like to play with her. She also helps the teachers. She is a good leader, and I think she will be successful in the future.

In the modern world, advertising is everywhere. Sometimes, ads can be useful for us. For instance, they can help you to compare two different products so that you can buy the one you really need. They can also help you to save money. When prices are listed, you can go to the store with the lowest prices. However, some ads can be confusing or misleading. Some times the picture in an ad looks a lot better than the real things. At times, an ad can lead you to buy something you don’t need at all.

5. What’s your favorite season? Why do you like it? (至少说出两个理由)

Passage 1: Autumn is my favorite season. There are many reasons for this. First, the weather is cool in autumn. It's neither too hot nor too cold. So I feel comfortable in autumn. Second, I think the nature in autumn is fascinating. Lots of leaves fall off the tree. And some of them turn yellow or red. Third, many vegetables and fruits ripe in autumn. So we say autumn is the season of harvest. So I like autumn best.

Passage 2: Summer is my favorite season. Summer is hot but I love hot weather. Look! Trees and grass are always green and lively, and we can wear light T-shirts. It is pretty beautiful. Another reason I love summer is that we have a long holiday. There are also many kinds of activities for us to enjoy ourselves. We can go to the beach. We can play beach volleyball and play in the water. We can swim and surf in the sea. It’s really fun. We can also eat ice-cream! How cool!

Passage 3: My favorite season is winter mostly because of the snow. When the ground is covered with snow it is just so beautiful and it is fun to play. I am 15 years old and I still like snow days. Also I love winter because I like the cold weather. I would rather be in the cold than in the heat. Spring and fall are alright but they still have some hot days. I would just rather it was cool or cold all the time.

7. Do you like music?

Passage 1: Of course I like music and I like it very much. Now I am very busy studying in school and I am often tired after school. And listening to music is really a good way for me to relax myself. And when I come across setbacks or become sad, music will make my mood better. In a word, I like music.

Passage 2: I like music and I like pop music best. When I get up in the morning I always feel sleepy. I would like to listen to pop music on the bus so that I can keep awake. And after many hours’ work I usually feel tired/exhausted. So I listen to pop music to get relaxed. In a word music helps me get relaxed and enjoy myself, because of that, I like music.

8. How long have you learned English? How do you learn it? （至少三种做法）

I have been learning English for nine years. To study English well, I learn English in many different ways. I learn new words by making flash cards, and I always take a lot of notes in every class. I think the best way to learn English well is reading aloud every day. Sometimes I learn English by watching English movies because I think it’s fun.

9. What are you going to do after this exam?

I think we will have a great holiday this summer holiday because we don’t have any homework. First of all, I will have a good rest and make me relaxed. Then I will go somewhere interesting with my classmates. I think it will be worth playing with them because we will go to different high schools in the future. And then, I will read some educational books and fill my mind with the knowledge. At the same time, I will do some exercise to make me stronger and healthier. I think I will have a good time in this holiday.

10. If you go sightseeing, what transportation do you take? Why? (至少说出两个理由)

My favorite transportation is the car. Because I think the car is more comfortable than any other means of transportation. Sometimes buses are crowded. If we are on the crowded buses, we’ll feel uncomfortable. And cars are faster than buses. At last cars are very convenie nt. We can stop anywhere we like. What’s more, we can carry many things in the car. So I like taking the cars to go sightseeing.

11. Do you like rainy days? Why or why not?

I don’t like rainy days. First, rainy days make me unhappy. Second, rainy days don’t make us go to school or work conveniently. Third, rainy days make the traffic busier. And I like sunny days, because I want my life to be full of sunshine. That’s all. Thank you.
