Nouns

Step 1: Warming Up

T: Draw a crab on the blackboard, and ask “What’s this?”

S: It’s a crab.

T: Telling a story about “crab”(螃蟹).

(横行霸道的美食螃蟹以前叫夹人虫,士兵巴解是第一个吃螃蟹的人。以他的名字“解”作为纪念。)

The Animal “crab (蟹)” is a noun.

Step 2: Practice

T: Ask the students to give some examples of animals.

S1: Rabbit

S2: Snake

T: Right, all of those animals are nouns.

Step 3: Presentation

T: Asking “what is a noun?”

名字,动物,这些有特殊含义的词语都可以称为Nouns.

Nouns include: People, Animals, Things, Places

People: William, Elizabeth, Sarah, Henry, John, James(穿插人名的小故事)

Animals: Dog, Monkey.

Things: Book, Desk.

Places: Beijing, America

T: Do you know nouns now? Who wants to try, and give some examples of nouns?

S1:, S2:, S3:, S4.

T: Write the nouns answered by the students on the blackboard.

Step 4: Summary

Classify the nouns mentioned by the students, and consolidate the knowledge of different kinds of nouns to the students.
