PPEs shall be selected depending on the specific situation to prevent injury to eyes, skins, lungs etc due to spattering of chemicals, chemical dusts, smoke, fume and steam and so on.
Know your individual responsibilities According to LOTO procedure for confined space and install Personal (Red) Lock on the associated LOTO lock box. Injured persons and rescue personnel must wear proper PPEs. This is very important! Particularly, when taking the injured persons out of the badly contaminated area, rescue personnel must have protection measures, to avoid becoming new injured ones. Carefully take the injured persons out of the dangerous environment to the safety area. --------------------Perform first aid in proper sequence, with steps as follows: Get rid of the contaminated clothes-flush-general treatment-specific treatment-take the injured persons to hospital. Dispose of contamination. Dispose of the contaminated clothes in proper ways, to prevent secondary damage or injury.
