Thank a lot !
• Dr. Raizada is a leader in the field of neural control of cardiovascular functions and has pioneered physiological genomic techniques to investigate the involvement of the reninangiotensin system in cardiopulmonary disease. • His most significant contribution has been the demonstration that angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) and vasoprotective axis of the RAS plays a critical role in maintaining a normal cardiovascular homeostasis, and is poised to be a better therapeutic target for the next generation of antihypertensives. • Dr. Raizada has published 210 peer-reviewed papers, 55 review articles, edited ten books, and has been and continues to be an invited speaker at national and international meetings.

Targeting the ACE2/Ang-(1-7)/Mas axis prevents and reverses pulmonary vascular pathology of pulmonary arterial hypertension. ACE—angiotensin-converting enzyme; Ang II—angiotensin II; AT1R—angiotensin II type 1 receptor; AT2R—angiotensin II type 2 receptor; BMPR-II—bone morphogenetic protein receptor type II; ERK1/2— extracellular signal-regulated protein kinase 1/2; NO—nitric oxide; TGF-β— transforming growth factor β Curr Hypertens Rep. 2010 August ; 12(4): 212–219
• Member of the McKnight Brain Institute • Member of The Neurogenic Cardiovascular Diseases Consortium
