在这篇短文中,出现了五模块第一单元的重点单词和短语及句型:embarrass, deliberately, doubt if/whether, betray, stand doing, behavior, admit doing, apologize to sb. for doing, blame, without hesitation, respond to, forgive, hesitate to do, there is no doubt that, swear, keep one’s word.

例如,“happy(快乐的)”加上前缀“un”变成“unhappy(不快乐的)”;“care(关心)”加上后缀“ful”变成“careful(仔细的,小心的)”。

比如“classroom(教室)”由“class(班级)”和“room(房间)”合成;“blackboard(黑板)”由“bla ck(黑色的)”和“board(板)”合成。

例如,“water(水,名词)”可以转化为“water(浇水,动词)”;“book(书,名词)”可以转化为“book(预订,动词)”。

举一个比较难的单词为例,hippopotamus(河马),如果不懂得对单
单词进行如下的划分hi/ppo/po/ta/mu/s,这样拆开记忆,是有规

1.同义词:big—large;small—little
2.反义词:fat—thin;long—short
