濠河概况

Haohe River is located in the center of Nantong, it is one of the most well- preserved moat river in China The history records that in 958AD, “the city came into being around the river” .It thus called emerald neck lace of the River city. Haohe scenery spots cover an area of 3.23 square kilometers .The whole Haohe Scenery Spots and landscapes area are green and the infinite sceneries are provided the tourists with a delightful feeling with a kingd of healthy, natural, graceful and comfortable characteristics. Haohe River can be featured as “Water enclosed by the city, and the city enclosed by water, while the city and water are incorporated”

濠西书苑Haoxi Bookclub

You can see Haoxi Bookclub in the front. Haoxi Bookclub is an old-style private school in traditional China.The whole structure is 1.4 hectare and it takes the style of Qing dynasty. It takes advantage of north-west Hao River, which has a broad water area and sight. The structure, beside the water street, is delicately designed with a clever overall arrangement.

The front structure outlined with orange lights is the symbol of Haoxi Bookclub, called “Five Pavilion”. No matter seeing scene sites or watching moon and tasting tea, it is always the best choice, giving you a pleasant feeling from the bottom of your heart.

南通盆景园Nantong Bonsai Garden

Closed to Haoxi Bookclub there stands the Nantong Bonsai Garden.The garden gathers Tong faction Bonsai, one of the main 8 faction in China. Tong faction is famous for its “Two and a half curve”, which means the plant body was bent to “S” shape with a half curve.

The Bonsai Garden not only has common bonsai but also has a few bonsai over a hundred years and these rare bonsai has scored many medals in competition in and out of China.
