泛读英语读后感
My Reading Report on Northanger Abbey Recently, I watched a attractive movie, Northanger Abbey, than I borrowed the its novel, Northanger Abbey, from the school library. Frankly, I'd like share something that I learn from this novel. For my part, it's really a readable book.
Firstly, I'd like to talk about the brief introduction of Northanger Abbey. As one of the most influential and classic novel in the 19th century, Northanger Abbey, was written by the famous writer Jane Austen. The heroine, Catherine, whose father is a priest, is a kindhearted and innocent girl. The squire Allen couples are childless, Catherine accompany them to the mineral spring resort, Bath, a small and beautiful town in England. At there, Catherine makes friends with hypocritical So per brother and sister, and she falls in love with a righteous and handsome young pastor, Henry, in the fist sight. The artful and designing Soper regards Catherine as the heir to Allen couples' property, so he determines to marry Catherine. With Soper's introduction, Henry's father Tierney, a General, who is full of the concepts of money and family status, mistakably think that Catherine is very rich. Thus, he urges his son Henry to dating with Catherine, invites her to their residency in Northanger Abbey and regards
her as a member of their family. Later, Soper's extravagant hope is ruined. He is so cross and embarrassed that he not only disparages Catherine, but also describes her penniless. Tierney is like a bear with a sore head. Then he kicks Catherine out of the house and compels Henry to forget Catherine. However, the two young lovers don't yield. After undergoing much ordeal, Jack shall have Jill.
Obviously, the author carried on the fullest exposition and criticism of money and family status concept in this novel. Although Northanger Abbey is a romantic novel, it presents readers the temporal society. At the end of the 18th century, at the time of the British, the social class determined the fate of their people. In the first place, the discretion of social class depended on how many lands people owned. Certainly, the first one was the nobles. They had vast land. The second was landlord squire, then is lawyer, doctor, priest,etc. Most families in Northanger Abbey belonged to the last two kinds. Even the businessmen were only in the secondary status, though they still can do speculation on real estate as long as they were rich.
The social class is distinctive in British. People places too much stress on money and position in the society. The upper class
prefers to make friends with upper class or middle class. In upper class party, lower class could not participate in. Most importantly, love and marriage were limited by the money and family status. For example, in the novel Northanger Abbey, Hery and Catherine loves each other, but they are broken up by Henry's father, when Henry's father knows Catherine is penniless. But in my case, it completely unfair for those who are from different social class. I think they have their own rights to choose whom to love and whom to marry. Finally, I am touched by the true love between Henry and Catherine. For my part, people should be bravery to fight for their rights.All above is what I learn from Northanger Abbey. I truly believe this novel is worth reading.

I was moved by the love between Danny and Goldie，but I was move attracted by Danny’s kind and compassion. Surely，he found Goldie finally，but he didn’t hurt the falcon at last. In my opinion，I think the story was all about love: Danny’ s love to Granddad，Granddad’ s to Goldie. But the most important love that mov ed me is Danny’s love to the little falcon chick. As we know，at first，Danny even wanted it kill falcons，but finial he didn’t do that. What has made him do such different thing? I think it is the love. Love is the most beautiful thing in our world，we can’t see it ，but we can feel its existence。With the love，our heart can be warm。Sometimes，a word or action of love can make difference.
