Describe a city you have been to

Describe a city you have been to

Describe a city you have been to 描述你曾经去过的一个城市思路点拨:以下思路仅供参考,希望大家根据自己的实际经历撰写答案该题目有两个信息点,city和have been to。

You should say:What the city was ?是哪个城市When did you go ? Who did you go with ? And explain why you like it or not ?

The city I am going to tell you is Tsingdao. It is to the Southeast of Beijing and it takes around 5 hours to get there if you take the high-speed train. My last visit was 3 years ago when my classmate, Xiaojie, who is also my best friend and lives there, invited me to spend my summer vacation there.

A couple of months ago I went to the Greek island of Crete. We stayed in a town called Xania, which is on the coast in the north west of Crete. It is a really picturesque town with small cobbled streets, a large harbour and many ancient buildings. I went there with my husband Brendan for a one-week holiday. We got there by various means of transport, taking a train to the airport, then a four-hour flight, followed by a twenty-minute taxi ride from the airport to where we were staying. The whole journey took around eight hours from door to door, which was a bit longer than we expected it to take, although we didn't have any major delays, thank goodness.I enjoyed my stay there very much, as I had not had a holiday for ages and needed to switch off from working. We didn't do much sightseeing, although Xania itself has a long and fascinating history so went to the local museum in order to learn more about it. I spent a lot of time reading books and swimming in the sea, which I must admit was quite a lot colder than I thought it would be. I also enjoyed eating the delicious Cretan food, and walking around the ancient streets in the town. One of the things I enjoyed the most was going to a restaurant called Xalkina, where they had live Cretan music every night. The musicians were playing instruments that I had never seen before, and I loved the style and tempo of the music they played. I would definitely like to go back to Crete one day, though next time I would probably make more effort to see the amazing sights of the rest of Crete.4.口语高分语料地道用词:for agesby various means of transportfrom door to doorswitch off动词叠用:I spent a lot of time reading books and swimming in the sea, which I must admit was quite a lot colder than I thought it would be. We got there by various means of transport, taking a train to the airport, then a four-hour flight, followed by a twenty-minute taxi ride from the airport to where we were staying.I enjoyed my stay there very much, as I had not had a holiday for ages and needed to switch off from working. Before visiting St Diego California America, I considered Hangzhou and Shanghai of China were among the top beautiful cities. Now, I must say St, Diego, this clean, pretty coastal city outperforms them in many ways.St Diego is located in the southwestern corner of America near Pacific ocean. Obviously, it has everything a coastal city should have-blue sea water, clear sky, sailing boats, flying seagulls or so. Moreover, unlike other seaside cities in China which are full of narrow streets, busy road and passengers, St Diego offers every visitor a relaxed life and broader view. The Coronado beach in St Diego boasts its soft and fine sand as well as surfing spots, so a lot of families go there to enjoy the adventure and pleasure of surfingAlong the seashore, we have the opportunity to visit a craft carrier(航空母舰) which used to serve in US military and now has retired and been converted into a military museum. This place is surely preferred by kids and teenagers who always hold thedreams to be a hero, you know. Here, kids are told the history and guided by retired sailors, engineers to enter the cockpi(驾驶舱) of a real retired fighter(战斗机). It is really amazing for them. One thing I almost forgot to mention is the cuisine(饮食)there. I can find any taste, like Italian pasta, pizza, Thai curry and coconut juice, as well as Chinese food. All of them are tasty.I hope I have chance to visit there soon. Describe a city you like考生:Ok, I am going to talk about Cheng Du which is a thriving, exciting and fashionable city. Actually, I’ve been there several times, and I would go back in a heartbeat. The first time I was in Austin was back in 1987 when I was stationed at Fort Hood Texas while serving in the U.S. Army. A lot of my Army buddies told me Austin was the place to go, especially 6th Street which is one of the main streets in downtown Austin. They were undeniably correct! When I finally went there on the advice of my friends, I was amazed at how packed the streets were with a diverse crowd. Everybody was having a great time socializing in every corner of the street. I knew I was in for a good time.Sixth Street is filled with bars, nightclubs, and restaurants, and you can listen to many different types of music from country and western to blues, jazz, and good old rock n roll. I’m personally a fan of rock n roll and to my delight I found a bar called Maggie Mae’s that had a local musician playing some of my favorite hits such as Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison. One of the other things I liked about this area was how clean the streets were. I was happy to see people using the trash receptacle and not throwing their litter on the streets. Now for one of my gripes! I was not a happy camper with the high prices for drinks, food, and entertainment. I couldn’t believe a domestic beer cost $6 for a pint and the cover charge to listen to music cost between $10 to $15.All in all, I love this city and would recommend it to anybody who loves nightlife and music.4.高分口语语料地道用词:stick out in my mind 在脑海中in a heartbeat 立刻a happy camper 乐天派高分句型:A lot of my Army buddies told me Austin was the place to go, especially 6th Street which is one of the main streets in downtown Austin.I’m personally a fan of rock n roll and to my delight I found a bar called Maggie Mae’s that had a local musician playing some of my favorite hits such as Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison.雅思口语题库话题原创高分范文a city/town you’ve visited that you like喜欢的城市Describe a city/town you’ve visited that you likeYou should say:Where is itWhen did you go thereWhat did you do theirAnd explain why you like it1.

CityDescribe a city where you want to live in the futureYou should say:Where it is ? Who you would like to live with When you would like to move there and explain why you would like to live there in the future Sample Answer:I wanna settle in Qingdao in the future, which is a laid-back coastal city in Shandong province. I’ve never been there before but loads of friends who visited that bustling and enchanting spot recommend me to travel there. Hence, last summer vacation, I took a journey with my parents, which left lasting impression on me and I made a resolution that after I graduated from mycollege, I’d like to live in this city with my relatives and my future lover. Because on one hand, there are several tourist attractions and decent scenery, like Zhongshan Park, Mountain Lao, Golden Beach and other stuff. Thus, after high-intensive study or work, I have many options to get rid of stress. For example, I can hike in the mountain and as the sun is setting, the whole city is painted gold by the sunlight, which makes me feel as if I were in a different world. Besides, some senior citizens do physicalexercises in the park. They do Taiji, perform swordplay, practice Chinese Kungfu and dance in the square. I’d love to join them along with my parents, coz these exercises can strengthen our muscles, build up cardiovascular system and make joints and bones become more flexible. On the other hand, various of mouth-watering food hooks me a lot, from authentic Chinese cuisine to western-style food. Honestly, I’m a foodie and really crazy about seafood, so this city suits me better. Additionally, there may lie a beach where can be used to barbecue. In this way, I can throw a party to have a blast, and probably bring snacks or rent a grill from staff, which can meet our appetite. Generally speaking, I hope my dream will eventually come true and appreciate the beauty of mother nature.

It is located in the south of Thailand, Southeast Asian. It consists of one main island and 32 small islands off its coast. You can fly there by plane, which usually takes 3-5 hours, depending on where you are in China. It is quite a hot place for vacations nowadays. Every year, thousands of Chinese go there to enjoy their holidays. I know this place from a friend. He and his family went there during Spring festival last year and he posted a number of photos on his Wechat. I was astonished by the beautiful views and various entertainments there. The city is famous for a range of things. Since it issurrounded by the sea, you can try diving, swimming, fishing, and other water activities, or you can just sit on the beach and enjoy the sunbathing. There are also a lot of pubs, bars, Thai boxing performance and Thai style massage, which make it a perfect place to relax.Phukets main industry is tourism, so the environment has not been damaged. The sky is clear blue with several clouds floating. The breeze brings fresh air and the smell of the sea. The water is so clear that you can even see the fish swimming below the surface. The beach is full of white soft sand, which invites you to lay down and have a rest. All of these are the reasons why I think it is a beautiful city. Describe a special toy you had in your childhood. You should say:what it waswho gave it to youhow often you played with itand explain why it was special to you. When I was five years old, I had an accident and wasadmitted in the hospital. I was required to stay in bed for at least two months. Days in the patient ward wasnt as dull as I expected it to be. Actually the first week was quite fun. I could watch TV in bed and chat with my fellow "roommates' and my family visited me everyday. But after a while, the hospital gradually started to lose its charm. I was getting bored when my Dad showed up. With a hat in his hand, he started to perform magic tricks. Out of thin air, he produced a flower and put it in the hat. Guess what happened next? He made a magic cube from the hat.I was immediately in love with the magic cube. Time seemed to go much faster when my Dad taught me how to play it. Before I knew it, I was running around again. Till this day I play it on a daily basis. It always reminds me of my special bonding time with my Dad.3雅思口语爱冒险的人话题I think the most adventurous person I have ever known has to be my brother. It was in the last year of his Bachelors that he realized his flair for travelling. When everyone was looking for jobs, he decided to travel. Earning some moneythrough freelancing he started travelling. It was in those travels that he picked up day jobs, to let him survive and let the journey going. It was after one long year that I met him and the stories that he told were amazing. He went hitch hiking from Dehradun to Kanyakumari, taking with him an initial amount of only 1000 rupees. So, there were times when he took lifts, did jobs to let him earn some money and mixed with local people. In the entire journey he was able to learn the basic language for almost 5 languages and can now very well interact with us using those language. He made friends and there are people he goes to meet even now. When I asked if he did any adventurous sports, he replied saying he did lived an adventurous life. And this was something that did strike me.Knowing absolutely nothing about what can happen the next moment and then having the faith that everything will work out fine is something that he has learnt from this trip. Although he has taken up a job, but the adventure in him is still alive, the reason why he takes trips every six months.4雅思口语阅读话题What kinds of books do you like to read?Id say I like reading quite a variety of books, both fiction as well as nonfiction.
